Thank you , your videos are great and the audio quality is excellent!
This is best video i ever watch , and very helpful Thank you
Just found your channel. Awesome video, thanks!
Thank you for this video. Answered a lot of questions I had before ride share driving!
The audio quality on this video is really nice.
Thanks for the info, too.
New driver, here. Thanks so much for the tips! I’ll be sure to take it easy on my first couple of goes. I’m no stranger to driving people around being an Ingress player, and I’ve worked retail for years, so the customer service aspect is important to me. Safe and sound is what we want.
Great video!
Great video, Harry.
Dude your very profesh in your vlogs, like your style.
Thanks Harry
Great video Harry , I listened to you and got my ratings up to 4.75 after over 200 rides !!
That's awesome, Ron!
Can you please do a video on how to do postmates and doordash at the same time even though door dash only has a pause mode feature only
Muver has the ability to switch Doordash off automatically.
Harry , are you talking per uber hour or our hours?... uber phone from your driver app , go to account/ help/ and in upper right corner tap the phone sign to get in touch with a agent.
Rideshare: what's your thoughts on just doing airport passengers? I'm very familiar with SFO airport commute...
Any idea when Mystro will be available on iOS???
Waze is better for navigation. It will let you know if there is construction, accidents, road closures and other features
Hello ride share guy! I need a placard replacement for LAX airport. So do I contact Uber/Greenlight Hub for LA without driving to Redondo?
You could call Uber Phone Support but you might want to go to the Greenlight Hub for faster service: therideshareguy.com/the-most-popular-rideshare-questions-answered/
Will have to look into that Maestro.
You can read more about it here - therideshareguy.com/mystro-review-get-more-trips-and-drive-safer/
I drive for UberEats. I have noticed that uber will steer you into areas that take you away from a "home area". I go offline to get back to my area only to be driving back to where I tried to escape from.
Uh-oh! At 9:11 into the video, we're discussing deductibles . . . Lyft no longer has the $2500 deductible. Around 11/2018, it was lowered to $1,000 (along with lowering their per mile rate to $0.5). The rest of changes had to do with Lyft Express.
One question I have is there insurance for when the car is down for an extended period of time? My car has been down and at the dealer for 2, going on 3 weeks, putting me almost $1,100 "in the hole."
Anyway 'loved the video! Thanks!
Here in South Carolina there aren't any insurance companies that offer insurance for RideShare due to the state insurance underwriting laws. At least that's what I got from my current insurance company. I'm still going to do more research with other insurance providers here to make sure.
South Carolina actually has a few options: therideshareguy.com/rideshare-insurance-options-for-drivers/#South%20Carolina
Speaking of phones, service is a biggie. I know uber partners a lot with sprint, but unfortunately, they don't do data and voice at the same time. Thus, your location won't update to the rider when on a call. Also, if you use the phone when not on a run, you won't get pings. Verizon used to be that way too, but i saw a sign on a store that says "always on data", so they may have it now.
Doing the late night bar passengers is not for me, I sleep early, get up early.. Is the morning a good time for passengers?
Getting conflicting info everywhere about rideshare insurance in NY state. Currently have USAA but they say they dont have rideshare insurance. State Farm so far does at an extra hundred above what I'm paying now. Calling others but not having much luck. Would like to get on the road soon but this is a sticking point.
Quick question, how long does the application for Uber take?
Not that long - if you have all your paperwork and inspection form taken care of, it shouldn't take you more than an hour to upload everything. Then another week for them to approve and send your trade dress/car sticker.
I found the best way to get the 5 star rating is at the drop off. I go out of my way to drop them at their front door, involving going into appartment building parking lots . And if the weather is bad I tell them that I ll stay till they are inside the door. Hope this helps
I do not receive many tips at all. I pick up the rider, ask them how they are doing, how their day is, have mints for them, chatting with them. So I get 1 to 2 tips a week.
Vickie, I have found that it also depends on the age of your riders. I have found that the older passenger's are the ones that tend to tip more often.
I receive most of my tips from business travelers. They turn it in on their expense reports and it doesn't cost them personally a penny. Followed closely in second place by servers/wait staff which initially surprised me but now makes sense. They too have to put up with a lot of crap and don't make much of a base salary

And the older passengers know that making a word into a plural never involves an apostrophe.
@@lisahinton9682 Woops, my bad! 👍
The Best Vehicle for me is the Bolt EV 2017,no MAINTANCE no Gas,no smog check ever, every year when ur tag sticker is due you just get it in the mail or walk up to the Dmv machine almost no waiting, having sed that that's the best car If you Do it Part time,I only drive 150 per day on the weekend's
Uber is giving me the run around for getting the LAX placard even though i have sent them a screen shot of I completing the quiz. what to do?
I would visit an Uber Greenlight hub to see what's going on - therideshareguy.com/the-most-popular-rideshare-questions-answered/
What is the best insulated water bottle with easy open for driving you have found?
I would look for one that has a sip top instead of a screw top, or you could get a Nalgene and keep the lid loose to drink from.
I'm tall like you, Rideshare Guy (6'4")... What kind of car do you use for Uber?
Do you do uber full time?
I don't drive Uber/Lyft full time and I never have.
The pool I do not like it. When I pick someone up for Uber pool and get both to their destination, I make less.
Sooo disappointed i drove full time for 2 days in a market with good rates and barley made any money at all and lyft screwed me on my tolls
Getting stuck in the mud in a field is not a good thing especially with a passenger has to help get you out.
Harry, do you still actually drive or is the Rideshare guy buisness more than enough work for you? Either way I have been subbed to you from day 1 and appreciate all the content you and your top flight staff puts out. DC driver with 15k rides between Uber/Lyft.
Still driving, mainly part-time! Glad to hear you're enjoying the content, always trying to put out helpful info to help drivers earn more!
I have my own UA-cam channel under my full-name and I have 16 different topic category videos sharing my knowledge and experiences in different areas to help other people and a few of the topics are a 2 & 3 year hints, tips, & tricks for Rideshare advice. I also have other awesome category topic videos on vehicle preparedness, high quality bug out bag building, finance advice, utility bill life hacks, scammer warning signs advice, Colorado tour guide advice, Pacific Northwest tour guide advice, basic vehicle care maintenance services advice, unique cooking recipes, etc. I drive a 2018 Hyundai Kona and I was a 2.5 year Lyft driver and now I'm a Uber driver for a little over a year and I use MileIQ app to track all my mileage!
Long Rides. Here's an Idea. My Longest Pick Up Request was 31 Miles and 38 Minutes Away. I average 3-5 15-20+ mile away requests a Week in my area. I No Longer accept any rides that are 10 miles or more away. When LYFT starts compensating it's Drivers for these Long Pick Ups then I will. I think LYFT should charge the Passenger .25 cents per mile for any request over 10 miles payable directly to the driver, and let the passenger decide whether they want the ride or not. Don't put this on the drivers.
I have the same issue so I never use Lift except in the city or weekend nights. I might turn on Lift if Uber isn't keeping me busy enough
i dont agree about the phone situation... get the cheapest sufficient phone because its going to be getting baked in the sun and overheated and the battery will be destroyed pretty quickly .
promoting other buisinesses will get you deactivated, i got deactivated for it without ever doing it.
about babies it was a frequent thing for me to have to say no to riders before it became legal here in brisbane australia, all of them paid cancellation fee... but now rideshare drivers are excempt and i will take any anything thats thrown at me.
i have a 4.61 rating and i sucessfully get my passengers from a to b within estimated fare 99.9% of the time and sometimes cause being a human you make mistakes or the phone fails ... i take a glance a fraction of a second look at my phone and back to the road... sure ive had to use my brakes to do a emergency stop to avoid collisions and obey the law...
Get a phone clip holder that snaps onto your air conditioning vent. Keeps the phone nice and cool.
While it a neat channel, but it's only for big city folks. Not being able to explain the chasing a $3 ride across town in a smaller city, say 100,000 people or less....driving 10 miles to pickup a ride of 4 miles, nobody ever brings this up because everyone lives in KA, Chicago, NY, Atlanta, Dallas....NOT
you consider yourself the most popular driver? You make me laugh!
Popular meaning most frequently asked questions from other drivers.
He said “the most popular driver questions”. It’s best to ask for clarification before mocking someone who is trying to help you.
This is best video i ever watch , and very helpful Thank you
