I totally agree with this review. Beautiful work of art in a bottle. I was skeptical with all the mixed reviews but this gave me the wow factor and I would rate it a point or 2 higher. Great review!
I must admit, I didn't think this would score as high as it did for you guys. Very polarizing release this - I've seen it praised as one of the best, and absolutely skewered by others. I enjoyed my bottle, from memory the rum is not the frontrunner, but I thought the Springbank character was somewhat lacking. Coconut is what I reccall. Guess I need to open that other bottle. Cheers!
Springbank normally improves as the bottle goes down and this one was an extreme example. The neck pour was a couple points lower but by the time of this review it really hit it's stride.
Great review gents. Generally I’m not a fan of rum maturation but I love this bottle, easily one of the best Springbank limited releases in recent years. Vanilla, banana, pineapple, malty, all wrapped up in terrific musty dunnage overcoat, what’s not to like!
This is one of few Springbank that is not that sought after and still available in Bay Area for a reasonable price. I might go with this instead of new Local Barley 10 which I heard it’s okay.
you guys gotta stop talking me into buys, lol. I passed on this at first because I already have a fresh rum 19 yo single cask, but I can still find this one around $155 and I do love Springbank. Cheers!
Dustin has a closet full of epic Sprinkbank (besides LB32) what should we review next?
All of them. Love springbank
Something other than Springbank. It's tatering hard enough as it is.
@@jasoncoates1835 stop asking for Blanton's reviews!

Doubt I'll ever see one near where I live...
This was rare in my area. Dustin is the only one I know with a bottle.. hope all's well buddy.

We know Springbank, it was different but worthy.

Letting this open up nearly a year was a big factor here. I wasn't as thrilled at first.
I mentioned this in another comment but this was oddly funky when I first tried it. But as Dustin said, time really helped this one.
Another great review Mike. 👍🏼 You’re the man picking out the white chocolate banana scent right off the bat.
I appreciate that! Just checked out your channel and subbed!
Ha, make that 3 of us. I gave it an 89 too. Really love this one...

I bought 2 of those here in L.A. about 6 months ago for $150 each and still have not opened. review the 12 CS 2020 56.1% ABV next
we could do that. I have another non review but springbank topic first up. But we can do that.
good recommendation.

So you got the banana too! It was all over this one.

I really enjoyed it but know it was a bit funky when it was first opened.. best I can remember. Still worth the cost.
I am generally not a big rum cask fan, but of course if somebody can pull it off, it'd have to be Springbank :)
for sure!
You will not believe me when i say i just found one in colorado springs today for 189.99.....
Nice find!
That's awesome, these did hang around a bit before the local barely crazy. This is a great one! hope you enjoy it

Might want to pick this up, lovely whisky.
I have that same 19 year single barrel and I think this one is better.
