FWIW I always thought the lemon-lime note in Ardbeg 10 was more Sprite than actual fruits.

I opened up a Dark Cove for the April 8th solar eclipse. Ardbeg is capable of so much more than what it’s currently putting out. Such a shame

almost grabbed this one, sounds great. recently sampled the whisky sponge 24 yo springbank that came out earlier this year and immediately ordered a bottle from whisky exchange. look out for that one if you can, not cheap but it's incredible imo

Hey Guys, nice stream 🙂Would you say that the 18 is better than the 16 which they sadly let dissapear from the market, maybe to be able to bring the 18 back? The 16 was about 90 Euros here and the 18 is right now between 180 to 190 Euros here. I think 175 Pound/Euro was the Laphroaig price on their website. Some reviews sad that their are some Virgin Oak notes which I would not like too, some others said that the 18 is like the 16 and some reviews hyped this 18 away to nearly the best whisky 2024. I buy my Whisky only from auction since right now 6 years and buy way more expensive whisky too, but my question is, is the whisky worth the price? I liked the 16 a lot, for me one of the best Laphroaig standard since 10 or 15 years. But nearly the same whisky for double the price? If the 18 would be way better it would be the price worth for me. The Cairdeas 2024 you get here for 94 Euros. This one sounds great. I have tried some Cairdeas years ago and lot of them were way to young for me and were not winners for me. So since the I ignore the Cairdeas bottlings. Should get a sample from the 24. Congrats on the baby Mike❤. Also, u guyz making me spend money again. Still have 4 back up bottles of the 2021 PX Cairdeas but I will have to get this years now as well 😅😅😅 I also have 3 bottles of the old green tube 18's so will probably not jump on the new one anytime soon.

I down a case o f this HP25 ("dawn label") in 1998-2002 era : ever since, I only buy the 18 . . . HP quality changes too much 2010-2020. Now, I only buy the Cask Strength occasionally... nice vid + COngrats !

I recently got my first Kilchoman, the batch strength. I've only barely tried it but it's promising. Maybe I'll have to get a Sanaig as well, it is 90 usd but probably worth it.

Fabulous review Mike and Dustin!! This is a terrific scotch IMO! As I write this I am sipping slowly on on a fabulous Lagavulin 16 and damn it’s smoky! Bliss! I enjoy this Kilchomen so much, all of their expressions to be honest! So well done! Delicious!! I reach for this beauty every few weeks. Love the salty brine and citrus! Yes to watermelon 🍉 Live this scotch on my palette!! You guys are the best!!

Great review guys. Actually, I’ve had this 2017 bottle and it was great. One note for me, which comes right next to the Miami Vice references, is Cuban Roasted Pork - the whole pig type deal. Put a couple of drops in your hands, rub and smell, you will be dead center at Miami’s Calle Ocho (Little Havana).

Thinking of buying a 16 and checking som "recent" reviews. Can get it for 75euros, but will it be wasted 75euros? Got an laga 8 open and its what it is. Got an onopened 12yo CS 2016 wich probably is great stuff. Thinking maybe this one could be like a bottle for occasions you just wanna poor a whisky that does not kick you in the face etc lika a talisker 10 or Caol ila 12. Also.. As you gues said, this one as cask strength would probably be amazing...

Great review, this is one of my favorite new releases ever. Dessert notes, aged notes, and plenty of depth and complexity. Can’t wait to chase the 14 year when it comes out.

I have adored my 2020 version, it's one of my favorite whiskeys and just picked up the 2023 one, seems like they weakened the newest ones a bit but I'm not gonna pass final judgement until I get a little lower in the bottle. Definitely a more refined and interesting offering than the 10yr!

Same story with me, I hated JD until I tried a SiB BP and now I stock it. To be fair No 7 is better than I remember it being, if a little pricey here. For how good I'm hearing the 12 is, I'm getting close to just paying secondary to try it. Cheers!

Sadly it makes no difference how good it is. It will never show in Ontario despite the LCBO having 50,000 bottles of shelfer JD's in their stores. They are simply too stupid to use their buying power.

Mike!! Love these older videos!! I just bought 3 Benromach 15s!! Delicious! Keith sounds fabulous! Love the peat - always! I am surprised the peat is so low in the Benromach 15. I seem to taste more on my palette. :-) The bottle design has changed. Sipping on an Ardbeg 25 tonight!! Fabulous!! :-)

This is one of the best whiskies I have had. I have had it back to back with the Glendronach 18 which is probably my favourite whisky of all time and I couldn’t choose between them. Just superb.

I tend to prefer the Kilkerran heavily peated releases. They are more interesting. I find this Longrow a little one dimensional.
