Working in a gun store must be like working at game stop. Seems like a good idea at first till you realize you have to deal with the worst part of the community all day long
As a former Gamestop Employee, can confirm! I had so many "Residents," and "Assistant to the Salesman," it was out of this world! I was dying watching this, just thinking about how much of this I saw on a daily basis, but just with video games!
Yeah ive been working at one for a few months now. One problem is the "this is overpriced" people are usually right when it comes to the accessories we have. A streamlight tlr7a is almost double amazons price.
It is so annoying sometimes. Just today I had a guy drive hours to pick up his order. Then he couldn’t because of a background check at a different store had the same address. He was so mad I thought he was gonna fight my manager.
With the deal maker, I had a guy go on how a shotgun was cheaper at Wal-Mart, so I told him I would help him out. I drew a map of directions from our store to the Wal-Mart and slid it across the counter to him. He stormed out pissed, but of course came back later.
@thegunsngloryshow besides the fact that the Walmarts in my state no longer sell firearms, the whole experience was bad. They entered information wrong, didn’t inform me when the back ground check came back.
OR you have the person that has done all of their research online for a new firearm, has done all the model comparisons, decided which model that they wanted based on potential usage and needs, searched the local (within a half hour drive) gun shops prices and waited for sales (or other discounts and rebates), walked in and waited in line, and then actually didn't look around and just told the person behind the counter EXACTLY what they came in to buy. Works GREAT for me every time!
Yo that's wild. I didn't even realize this is how I've bought every gun after my first rifle and pistol. Accurate description. I personally started doing that way to save myself from stress and time. And I shouldn't even be spending this money on another gun. The firearms counters are full of 20 something tac-bro's these days. Never even fired a shot in anger and want to preach to a combat vet on witch rifle to buy. I miss the grumpy old retirees that used to fill these jobs.
@@chrisquintana3877 Ah, you're the 'Silent But Deadly Type' that thinks he's hot shit. Not realizing that most of these 20 something tac-bros outshoot you any day of the week, even without firing 'in anger'. You're no longer in whatever third world country you commited war crimes in, get over it.
This got me a job offer one time. Told the kid behind the counter exactly what I was looking for and why I was looking for it. Manager was observing. (I didn't buy the gun that day because I'm left handed and most places don't carry left handed guns) after I walked away from the counter, the manager approached me and asked me some questions. He offered me a job on the spot, 40% off guns, optics, and accessories plus 25% off storewide. I had to turn him down
You forgot one type: the guy that walks in, looks at the offerings and prices, shakes his head and walks out of the shop without a word. That guy might know a lot more than you think.
Yeah, I'm becoming that guy as I age and add knowledge and experience over the years. Don't pee on me and try and tell me it's raining. I know when you're price gouging...
I'll admit it; I'm that guy. First, I check to see if they've got used firearms, then I check ammo prices. If they're selling sporterized milsurp without optics for as much as a new rifle or if bass pro can beat their ammo, then I normally just leave.
All true! I worked at a gun counter for six years and you guys did a great job. One of the weirdest interactions I had was a lady came up to the counter and complained very loudly that she did not feel safe because all the guns in the display case were pointing at her. I wanted to laugh but couldn't.😂😂😅😅
I will say seeing the muzzle end of the gun does always make me feel a little weird but ive never felt unsafe by it 🤣 its really just like “I’m not supposed to be on *this* side” hahaha
My favorite..."The Reminiscer"... He leans back, smiles longingly while looking at the ceiling, crosses his arms atop his sharply protruding belly and proceeds to tell you every detail for every load he ever developed for every rifle he's purchased since 1973. All while never touching a gun in the shop while he's there. You also couldn't get his wallet pried open with dynamite.
I made the mistake of making conversation with a guy like that while I was waiting on a background check the other day, he preceded to bend my ear for half an hour
I was "the Resident" at a local gunshop that was minutes away, id spend my days off there, but i actually bought lots of guns, they knew my taste and whenever i walked in theyd flag me over to whatever gun theyd got in that they knew id like, great customer service and fantastic guys.
Yeah, most "residents" I know at my local shop/range (I'm definitely a resident) at least buy $100 worth of ammo every time they come in. Then they shoot it and hang out and chat for an hour or two.
I did this for a bit cause I knew the owner and they had the best bathroom while traveling between orchards for work.. spent about $2k a month though..
I used to own a restaurant next door to a gun shop. I would go there on my breaks and buy something almost every time. They would do the same, flag me down on stuff I’d like lol. It ended up being exchange of money back and forth. They’d buy food, I’d buy guns and ammo lol.
I have to admit that in my "youth" I was a bit of a pick up artist. It's like waiting for Christmas morning as kid to get that new gun. I have since been rehabilitated.
there is a reason we tell people we will call them when we get to it. he needs to pay close attention to what he was entering, screw ups on paperwork can result in a $10k fine and maybe loss of the FFL, and 30 boxes are a lot to sort through to find that one firearm. sometimes the names are on the label but often not and you have to open them to check. at my shop, we schedule appointments for transfers after it's checked in, I don't usually have to deal with 30 boxes at once but I've had UPS, FedEx G and Express, and USPS all come with stuff to check in while I've had customers in store.
I really feel bad for my local gun shops. I REALLY want to support the local small businesses, but the prices (especially on firearms) just don’t compare to online prices.
Worked a gun counter during college days after military in 80s. Had a jackass security guard come in to look at the colt python and cobra. They were new to our location. Said Jackass slipped a .38 round into cylinder to see if it fit in the .357 as I quickly stuck two fingers through grabbing the top strap. He was pulling me over the counter trying to close the cylinder and screaming as I wouldn’t I wouldn’t let go. He ended up complaining as I refused to serve him after, I got written up but promptly quit. I can’t work with or for stupid apparently. Go figure.
On the other side of the equation, as a customer, I have had a gun store employee greet me then proceed to stalk me, Every case I looked in, he wanted to tell me all about the gun in the case. It got really creepy when he started following me so closely that when I stopped, he ran into me. I had been in this store probably a hundred times in the seven years it has been open. I have bought 7 or 8 firearms and countless parts and accessories. The owner and me are on a first name basis and I didn’t want to get the employee in trouble, but this was over the top. Just asked the guy his name and if he was new and how long he had been employed there. Told him if I see something I would like to look at, I would just call for him. Figured out the days and hours he works and I avoid the guy like the plague now
The guy was trying to make money on u. He could care less about ur first name bases with the owner. When ppl don't get help complaining, getting help is a problem as well. Should be right of the back ill let u know if I need any help, n he won't bother u.
I cover the “resident” one… except I know my stuff, shoot at the range a bit, and try to make sure the employees are comfortable(I.e. I sometimes help load mags for rental guns if they need it) I also actually buy stuff
When I first got into guns, I was the resident. Would go to multiple shops every day after work just to look around. The staff were friendly enough at first, but I realized that they didn't really appreciate it that much when I showed up just to browse. I just buy my guns online now. Made me realize how much local shops mark up. I'm talking +$100-200 difference from online prices.
Big time, I had bought a desert eagle in store. Found the same model online for 400 dollars less. I swore off gun stores unless it was to get work done I couldn’t do myself.
Funny I am from a small town and most of our gun shops are actually equal too or cheaper than online. Their ammo and accessories are slightly higher though. I think that is how they pull profit.
Yeah the markup you get in local shops can be killer. I still buy from them now and then, mostly because they're locally owned small business. During the ammo crisis they had prices marked up so much though, it was gross and I stayed away like the plague. Every now and then though they'll have something nice at average pricing and I'll pick it up. Used to get 500 round boxes of .22lr for $20, but now they're $40
People who bring every friend and relative they can fit into a car to watch them buy a gun or have a bunch of unattended kids running around touching everything deserves a shout out. We lost a rifle last week when a kid put it on the rack upside-down and it fell on the floor, breaking in half at the trigger guard.
The worst story I have from a gun shop is a good one. Guy wanted a shockwave and they only had one in 20 gauge. He says nah I ain’t got time to wait for it to come in and 20 gauge is worthless. The salesman said don’t knock 20 gauge it does the job well. The inbred then says 20 gauge ain’t nothen it’s the same as throwing rocks at someone’s chest. True story’s from the gun shop experience lol
while i was commiting a home invasion, the scared woman shot me in the chest with a shotgun. i was bleeding out on the floor, until i realized she used a 20g. i laughed and my body instantly ejected all of the buckshot out of my chest cavity, and i got back up to continue robbing i would still choose 12g over 20g due to industry support for 12g, but a bullet is a bullet no matter what the caliber
Im 19 and just went to go buy my first gun (mossberg 590 9-shot) and being completely honest i was super stressed out for no reason. Had no idea what to say (i knew exactly what i was looking for) but felt like i had to use special gun lingo. also felt like the guy was judging me a lil bit. Feel like there should be a noob gun owner or something along those lines in one of these😂
Yeah, there's two types of new gun owners, though. The young ones who are in their late teens/early 20's and those are the guys like you who are self-conscious and honestly are much easier to get along with than the other type - the 50+ year olds who never got into guns but all of a sudden want to and are confident and clueless and they're convinced they know what they're talking about because they read a few posts on an online forum and that I'm wrong because I'm 20 years younger than them but been actively shooting for 30 of my 38 years. Honestly, don't worry about it, they're not judging you any more than they judge any new customer, and believe me, they're happy to see young people getting into shooting. Just be honest, say you're fairly new, it's your first time buying, you're pretty sure you know what you want, and why, and they are almost always happy to tell you any information they think might be helpful to you. That being said, not all gun store employees actually know wtf they're talking about and merely want to sell you as much extra shit as possible, so keep that in mind if you're going to a larger place with lots of employees. If you're in a rural area that type of experience is more rare, though.
Crs Firearms has a great video explaining this he stated you are in condition yellow and it takes a good shopkeeper to bring you down to green to talk guns etcs where you actually feel comfortable because if they just left you in condition yellow you probably wouldn't buy anything
Welcome to firearm ownership. I must say you are off to a great start. Just remember the rules of firearm safety and be respectful. If you do that the whole community will take you in and help you out. Enjoy that nice 590!
I bought my first gun at 21 when I got my CWL. A handgun. I happily shot a variety of handguns at the range over the years, and did several training classes. I would never had considered myself an expert, of course, but I was really comfortable with handguns. Had never shot a long gun on my life, when we started having coyotes issues on my farm. We went in and got some advice from the gun store employee for a budget shotgun, his recommendation for our needs. All was going well… until I asked if we needed to buy a magazine separately or what. 😅 Cue embarrassment. Like I said, I’d never even held a long gun before that day, so I thought it would work the same as my handguns. 😂😂😂
@@Firstfalconfree Lol it's a learning process. I started out with my M&P then got another one then so on, would go rent guns and buy rounds before I even owned my first gun myself at a local range
My biggest problems is "The politics guy". There's always someone who wants to come in and stand on a soapbox about whatever their current political nonsense is, with the assumption that just because we all enjoy guns, that we all agree on every single insane conspiracy nonsense he has.
I had a moment where I was "The Deal Maker" jackass by accident. I was buying a Ruger MkIV 22/45 Tactical, and I thought they were charging over MSRP by about $200. Turns out, the guy behind the counter told me it was a MkIV 22/45 Tactical, but it was really a MkIV 22/45 Tactical *Lite,* which is about 10 oz lighter, and runs just shy of $600. It was a big scene, calling over other guys, until the owner was like, "Dude, the one you're looking at on Ruger's website is the 22/45 Tactical, not the 22/45 Tactical Lite that we have here in the case." I was pretty embarrassed, but they said not to worry about it, that it was embarrassing it took them that long to realize why it cost so much more. I ended up getting it, because I really like the super light weight compared to the steel ones. Paid $200 more than I was planning, but OMFG, it's my new favorite gun. I just gotta decide on a suppressor to match it. They are just too cool, and make frequent pistol training very affordable. Not a single jam so far (granted, only about 600-800 rounds in). Runs silky-smooth. Worth the brief embarrassment, lol.
Funny that I stumble on your comment, cause I've been itching to buy a Mark IV. So far I train on a borrowed MkIII at the range so I'm used to a steeper grip angle than 45, but the 22/45 and all its variations are definitely on my radar. Only downside I can see so far is the price (so you were definitely in your right to haggle on that lol), and the lack of markings or dots on the sights (but that can be helped).
I have never been to a shop where you could just walk in and pick up a firearm. With some of the people I have seen walk in to shops that seems kinda nuts 😂
My local gun shop has rifles and stuff on the sales floor you can pick up, but they're mostly hunting rifles, bolt actions and that kind of thing. The pistols, AR's and shotguns are behind the counter
I work at an FFL. Majority of our long guns on the sales floor you can pick up and finger fuck. Pistols and extremely expensive firearms are behind the counter or in a case.
yeah tbh if all the guns are behind the counter rather than on the floor (excluding pistols and high dollar stuff), i doubt i'll be a regular, i hate them staring over you and having to ask to look at every one you are interested in
This is a certified core store moment 😂, also the pick up transfer guys are the worst. Literally had a guy order a gun from our site in THE PARKING LOT and walk inside right after and want to pick it up. I’m like dude that’s not how this works. If you wanted it right now why didn’t you just walk in and buy the damn thing.
I must be a different kind of dude. I went through the training. Did the Live fire qualification. And fill all the paperwork in person at the sheriffs office. And was issued a permit to carry. I did research at home and I felt a Glock 19 would be best for me.. I walked told them I want a Glock 19 they only had one left so I took it paid for it and then I left. And the two guys that work there were nothing but nice to me. It took them two minutes to grab my Glock. Took another 15 for them to type all this stuff into the computer which is fine I expected that. It takes forever to get a permit to carry. I think it was three weeks total. But I actually walking into the gun store no issues.
Yeahhh. One of my favorite local shops has this one guy who is like 6'5, super quiet, and the most monotone voice you've ever heard. He was helpful, but dude just seemed off trying to have any conversation with him. Then another guy is a little spazzy and liked to drone on about how weird FN sights are and how nothing beats Glock as he practiced drawing in front of me as the last customer in the store. Other stores, there's quiet, brooding old men working the store who seem terribly inconvenienced to do so much as ring up my bill.
@@blackticalmayhem8461 Those guys are beyond the worst haha I can't stand that shit. The ones that say "I'm not supposed to talk about this" and then proceed to tell you every single detail
Sharing your knowledge and helping people feels good! Definitely get it. I don't do it in person though, I never wanna be "that guy". It's especially hard to bite my tongue when the sales clerk is giving horrible advice or is just plain wrong about what he's saying.
I prince of priced once. Was helping a family member find a carry gun and went to a shop on their side of town. This was during one of those big runs on guns and ammo years so a lot of basic stuff was out of stock. Well this shop's response to low stock was to simply keep adding to the price, so their prices were a bit of a sticker shock, as opposed to my main shop which always sells low and would rather run out of stock than gouge any of their customers.
They need to do one but the other way around. I’ve seen lots of weirdos who work behind the counters as well. #1. Counter Commando Judges all your choices, carries 4 guns at a time, pretends not to know what you’re talking about if you mention it wrong, ergo, “I need a new clip for my pistol.” #2. TOM-time is money Working on commission, no time to answer questions or humor a browsing patron, the need to brush you aside because their buddy just walked in. #3. Safety Instructor Does not let you handle all the weapons, insists on holding weapons for you, insists you clear the weapon right after they’ve cleared it and acknowledge that the weapon is cold, asks to see your ID before handling a gun(not firing).
This is one of the funniest gun videos on YT ever. Bravo to the group that put this together. Incidentally, as a multi-hobbiest, I’ve noticed that every hobby or enthusiasm is the same in this regard. They all generate a cast of characters. Coin collecting has similar casts of characters that every coin shop owner on Earth could do a hilarious video on.
You just need to run the money and have (and build) so many guns your wife has no idea if you have a new gun 😂 That's what I do. "I've had this for years..." - me
Totally agree!!! New ones blend in with the countless old ones!!! I told her sometimes, when its dark in the safe, 2 guns fall in love and make a new gun! Thats why the count goes up up up!!!!😂
too funny...but soooo true...I have been looked down by a "gun snob"..claiming my "old gun" wouldn't shoot a hoot...We discussed his weapon's differences and mine...we went upstairs to the indoor range...I walked out $100 richer...it not about how "fancy our weapon is,,it's how you SHOOT...We never saw the guy again...
This was great! 100% accuracy hands down lmao. The guy that comes in and wants to handle like 10 guns with absolutely zero intention of buying any of them is my biggest pet peeve personally.
Sometimes I want to handle a gun before I buy one for $200 less online, so I’ll visit the local Big Chain store. But I won’t bother the family owned businesses with that kind of nonsense lol
As my dad owns a gun shop, we have Fridays where everyone comes over and parties, very good for business, ngl, everyone brings food and snacks. I love so much. Every one in our group is part of a coalition, basically a small army, could prob fend off the police force though, we got barrets, precision rifles, and even a B.A.R and a few garands, prob a few machine guns and we also have 2 private ranges. We also got a few small cannons we stretch across the tri-state area so if we need to and we could probably take over a few cities
9:13 I saw this guy once, I wanted to crawl out of my skin listening to him yell at the poor counter worker. He kept saying he knew the owner and the owner would give him a better deal and to get him on the phone and when the worker explained the owner was in the desert and out of cell service the guy had a breakdown
I go to a few local gun shops with ranges and believe me ive seen it multiple times haha its beyond embarrassing. The worst I ever saw was a 350 pound guy walk in with nothing but multicam on while wearing a plate carrier, tactical pants, tactical shirt (with pens in the sleeve pockets) a helmet with comms, shooting glasses, mechanix multicam gloves, and a hydration kit on the back of his plate carrier. To make it even worse he had patches all over his kit haha I couldn't even laugh because I was so confused. The kind of guy that walks in and just thinks he knows everything about everything and will stay for hours
Some guy just walks up to you, stares straight through your soul, doesn't blink for 20 minutes, shakes his head, and then proceeds to leave whilst a random tumbleweed comedically passes by him.
Our customers were usually combinations of these. Our resident was combined with the assistant, and new very little about firearms beyond what we told him, and was easily impressed. MT6 was combined with snob, fudd, or SBD. Snob and fudd were ALWAYS combined with each other or the deal maker.
The wife alert cracked me up. I used the excuse, honey. The gun club had another raffle, and I won "again"! The response is, I hope you bought lottery tickets! 😂
I was the resident in my early 20’s. I was off on Wednesdays & didn’t have much to do. I eventually got a part time job helping out in the shop & range. I worked for store credit. By the time the shop was no longer I had a dozen or so “free” guns & some good knowledge. Good times.
This was ingenius. I'm a waitress at a high volume bar in Atlanta. I have to deal with a nice chunk of the gunshop customer stereotypes on a regular. Yeah I was sitting there comparing the bar equivalents of these stereotypes. The ONLY ones I don't got in my serving area is The Fudd and The Pick Up Artist. BUt yes, I do get The Wife Alert (asking if our bar is going to show up on bank statement) and even, believe it or not, The Silent But Deadly- I ain't kidding you. I walk up to the individual (usually a man, but had a couple women, too) and asked if they needed anything. They just stared. Uncomfortable silence. I ask again. "Would you like a drink?" Silence. Then holds thumb up. I say, "uh, does the thumb up mean yes, you'd like something? or no, I'm okay." Silence for a few seconds. "I'm Ok." I mumble, "yeah." Turn around, then mumble, "I ain't got time for this (bleep)." THe one I hate the most is the Resident- the one that camps out in my area for eternity, but doesn't order anything and doesn't tip me. I can deal with the Snob, the messy Meal Time Six, EVEN the Deal Maker (since they're stuck at our bar at that point, they;re gonna order, but just order the lesser expensive option and minimally tip) Customer service....
Nailed it. Many years ago a gunsmith friend let me know how he handled some of these. He just closed his shop on Mondays. But was there in the back getting work done.. Never answered the door or phone.
One month later I'm here and surprised that thing has 9k views, that's hilarious! I really like "My wife works for ATF - runs away screaming" joke and unwanted assistant #9
No lie you guys are talented and funny. I came for the guns and stayed for the content. Keep it up. I wish i had more shorts to play on loop before i go to bed. LOL
I was the "pickup artist" on accident once because my gun arrived at the store over the weekend and I picked it up that Monday, completely forgetting nobody was there over the weekend lol
Never get tired of people working retail who dump all over their customers. Never quite as cool as the clerks at record stores in the 80's/90's, tho...
I’ve been working at a gun store this past year and I have seen all of these people before. I think the only stereotypes I could add is the guy refuses to buy anything over $300. They show up, ask to specifically see every Taurus, SCCY, and Hi-Point you have, then either leave without another word or buy several of them at once.
Once a few of us walked in the store and bought nothing but the cheapest Hi Points just got the heck of it. Most of us have sold them since then but it was a fun day.
I know a guy that fits number 1 perfectly. He is always the one ready to go, has all of the strats and plans for when it “goes down” the works. But the guy is a genius when it comes to firearms. It is impressive to see. He don’t have the fitness or speed, but he knows his stuff. But he definitely thinks he has the fitness and speed 😂 but he is also the guy that when he goes to the range, he preaches safety and is willing to let anyone shoot anything he brought to experience different weapons. Good guy. I also know the gun snob guy. He only has the boutique firearms. The ones that have every custom piece on them yet never really shoots them. He will never carry them because he doesn’t want the holster to ruin the finish. And anytime he goes to the range, he lays out a towel and sets them all up to look at them. Will never shoot his own stuff but will always ask to shoot your weapons and ammo.
I'm eating lean and seeing those puffy cheetos triggered an innate and primal response. Suddenly I started breathing faster and my sensory went on overdrive. I'm doing breathing techniques now to resist over thinking myself into the Orion.
This is sort of weird. I've never worked in a gun store, but I *have* worked in bookstores, several over the years, and some of these "typical" customers seem to be endemic to face-to-face retail in general, not just gun stores. The guy who just wants to hang out, but never buys anything, is pretty common. We used to call them "lonely guys" and no, there never was one who was female, even in a bookstore. I also have had customers show me websites where they could buy a book for a lower price than we had it for in the store, and the guy showing the gun for 1 cent actually happened to me with a book, believe it or not. Used book retailers often sell stuff on the internet for a penny, plus $3 shipping. The assistant to the regional manager happens a bit also...actually that one I liked as in a bookstore you often have multiple customers to deal with. If someone wants to volunteer to engage with a customer and convince them to buy a book, I usually let them have at it.
I work at a small local gun shop & range and ya'll nailed it! I especially like the 'deal maker'! EVERY customer is the owner's best friend, the owners wife's best friend etc, etc. HE actually had a sign made up that says, "YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO BUY FROM US....even if I'm your my oldest & bestest friend!''
Great stuff guys 😂! I work at a large gun shop and you nailed it. My least favorite is the guy who wants to handle every gun in the store after he says he's just looking today. Those guys NEVER buy anything! All they manage to accomplish is put me behind schedule on the dozen or so tasks that HAVE to be done daily in a gun shop.
What i hate is when I go into a gun store and have to tell every sales person who sees me, "I'm just looking", and still a least one person will follow me around the place. Feels like I'm at a used car lot.
Working in a gun store must be like working at game stop. Seems like a good idea at first till you realize you have to deal with the worst part of the community all day long

It is so annoying sometimes. Just today I had a guy drive hours to pick up his order. Then he couldn’t because of a background check at a different store had the same address. He was so mad I thought he was gonna fight my manager.
Grabbing that pistol with the cheeto hand gave me an aneurysm.
Me seeing him eat cheetos in his truck, knowing full damn well he's about to touch some guns, gave me an aneurysm.
With the deal maker, I had a guy go on how a shotgun was cheaper at Wal-Mart, so I told him I would help him out. I drew a map of directions from our store to the Wal-Mart and slid it across the counter to him. He stormed out pissed, but of course came back later.
😂

He offered me a job on the spot, 40% off guns, optics, and accessories plus 25% off storewide. I had to turn him down
You forgot one type: the guy that walks in, looks at the offerings and prices, shakes his head and walks out of the shop without a word. That guy might know a lot more than you think.
Or they were looking for Remington .270 corelokt during COVID and couldn’t ever find it.

I do that a lot at a couple of local stores. Of the 4 main ones, 2 are insanely overpriced and 2 have good prices.

Nah man dude had noone in store could have easily put what they were doing on hold to help the customer...I sure as shit would/do
there is a reason we tell people we will call them when we get to it. he needs to pay close attention to what he was entering, screw ups on paperwork can result in a $10k fine and maybe loss of the FFL, and 30 boxes are a lot to sort through to find that one firearm. sometimes the names are on the label but often not and you have to open them to check. at my shop, we schedule appointments for transfers after it's checked in, I don't usually have to deal with 30 boxes at once but I've had UPS, FedEx G and Express, and USPS all come with stuff to check in while I've had customers in store.
I'm still that way haha. Getting a new gun or knife is just awesome. Definitely has that youth Christmas morning feeling to it
I really feel bad for my local gun shops.

Go figure.
Any gun shop in my area would have beat or shot his ass for pulling a stunt like that 😨
Sorry your former boss was a moron
If someone did that shit today they’d probably be beaten up or shot at by ten dudes working the store.
Yeah, if that kinda shit happened at the range I go to? The employee would get a pay bump, and the customer wouldn’t be allowed back
He put a round into the gun in the store?? That is a new level of stupid and dangerous. Good on you for stopping him
You should have gotten praise from the manager of that store but apparently there were also jackasses.
The Fudd was too accurate. You missed the “it’s just a gimmick Sonny”

*cries in California dealer fees*
Funny I am from a small town and most of our gun shops are actually equal too or cheaper than online.
Their ammo and accessories are slightly higher though. I think that is how they pull profit.
Yeah the markup you get in local shops can be killer. I still buy from them now and then, mostly because they're locally owned small business. During the ammo crisis they had prices marked up so much though, it was gross and I stayed away like the plague. Every now and then though they'll have something nice at average pricing and I'll pick it up. Used to get 500 round boxes of .22lr for $20, but now they're $40
Yeah but once you pay shipping and transfer fees you've paid the difference usually

It was a big scene, calling over other guys, until the owner was like, "Dude, the one you're looking at on Ruger's website is the 22/45 Tactical, not the 22/45 Tactical Lite that we have here in the case."
I was pretty embarrassed, but they said not to worry about it, that it was embarrassing it took them that long to realize why it cost so much more.
Hey at least it all washed out and everyone got on the same page with no harsh feelings. It can be done.

And the two guys that work there were nothing but nice to me. It took them two minutes to grab my Glock. "I'm Ok." I mumble, "yeah." Turn around, then mumble, "I ain't got time for this (bleep)."

I can deal with the Snob, the messy Meal Time Six, EVEN the Deal Maker (since they're stuck at our bar at that point, they;re gonna order, but just order the lesser expensive option and minimally tip)
Customer service....
This store is brave. Most stores around here the guns are locked up and they still get robbed
Maybe it's just where you live.
This store isn't located in bumfucksville far as I know
Y'all caught me w the popcorn last week didn't ya
The toothpick and shades guy was hilarious!
#1 had me laughing so hard because I’m sure that’s gonna be me in 10 yrs
I’m the more “ these dudes are busy and deal with idiots all day I won’t bother them unless I REALLY want to look at that FNX45” 😂
1:56 bro really thinks he's paul blart💀
No lie you guys are talented and funny. I came for the guns and stayed for the content. Keep it up. I wish i had more shorts to play on loop before i go to bed. LOL
I was the "pickup artist" on accident once because my gun arrived at the store over the weekend and I picked it up that Monday, completely forgetting nobody was there over the weekend lol
The customer that walks in to "Hang out" for several hours is the worse of them all. Drives me absolutely insane.
Never get tired of people working retail who dump all over their customers. Never quite as cool as the clerks at record stores in the 80's/90's, tho...
Number 7 bro was definitely camping outside hahaha
I’ve been working at a gun store this past year and I have seen all of these people before. I think the only stereotypes I could add is the guy refuses to buy anything over $300. They show up, ask to specifically see every Taurus, SCCY, and Hi-Point you have, then either leave without another word or buy several of them at once.
I've seen all of these for the most part. Everyone needs a discount too
Once a few of us walked in the store and bought nothing but the cheapest Hi Points just got the heck of it. Most of us have sold them since then but it was a fun day.
Self-defence first, fun and niche later.
Didn't happen at GunBros, but I've totally was #7 The pickup artist at one point lol
Haha! Guns will fill a man with a burning desire. Lol!

Love how at the end, THE RESIDENT was about to casually go to sleep next to some Tannerite 😂
I used to work at a store/range, and I can confirm that most of these are absolutely true🤣
As soon as he said "that's over priced" I knew exactly who it was lol. 😂
Haven't laughed so hard in a while 😂😂😂 Thanks
Thanks for enjoying it, bro!
@@gunbros definitely did a great job .this was pure gold . Shared it with my buddies 😂😂
You forgot the fudd that comes in and asks if you have ammo for some incredibly wildcat cartridge, then is pissed off when you don’t have any.
That is great! Very accurate!
I'd never heard the fudd wall before! That's hilarious🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@900stx7 in a lot of cases the reason they do that is because if they don't they'll hear about it from their bosses.
