For context on the ending and the doll holding the Hunter Slug; By eating the three parts of the umbilical cord, Jim basically gained the power of a Great One, preventing The Moon Presence from turning Jim into the new caretaker of the Dream now that Gehrman is dead. After killing the Presence, Jim fills the new power vacuum by becoming a Great One himself as the new God of the Moon and ruler of the Hunter's Dream, although he is effectively an infant god, who is going to be raised by the Doll of Maria. The Moon Presence was the one perpetuating the hunt and the dream. Depending on how much Jim remembers from his time as a hunter and the Doll's parenting, he could theoretically end both cycles and finally let Yharnam exist in relative peace.

in case no one explained to you in the stream Dan: by killing the Moon Presence, you become a Great One yourself, taking control of the Dream. and with the Orphan of Kos dead, the curse on Yarhnem and the Hunters is gone
That's honestly a really hopeful ending for one of these games, especially compared to the usual "people spend all eternity perpetuating a cycle of sacrifice" vs "everyone becomes a monster or dies"

@@mebreevee I understand that they're not for everyone, I love skyrim to death too. That game has probably my favorite open world ever (tied with Witcher 3).
Skyrim has the huge advantage of being on PC and mod-able, bloodborne will die when the consoles it's played on are no longer relevant
Or if it gets a PC port it lives forever
@@aelanarbrightfield6817 yeah true I guess
Thats kinda like the game that will never die just because the amount of mods it has as well as the frequent re-releases, attention will always be drawn to that game
@@mebreevee
Opposite thing for me. I LOVE Bloodborne and can't stand Skyrim. Mostly because Skyrim has a habit of being literally impossible to complete due to how broken it is.
1:44:47 "dont just instantly kill me"
Famous words for a Micolash fight
"DO YOU MIND? I AM TRYING TO READ!"
Damn, those werewolves are really mean interrupting your trip to the library.
A game about large amounts of blood. Perfect for RT.
It's always so interesting seeing ds players play this game for the first time. You can literally see RT go from using DS tactics of backing away, being careful and trying to heal to going full BB mode and attacking like the crazy man he is
"I might die by virtue of closing the console if spiders drop from the ceiling"
Silly RT, that comes in about an hour.
I was watching this while playing Stardew Valley and the jarring switch from me playing my little farming game trying to marry the author of a book to Dan playing Scary Jim who’s covered in blood fighting beasts straight from hell: amazingly makes this game a tiny bit scarier.
A person of culture, I see! You’ve got great taste in Stardew love interests XD
So wholesome to have other players join in to help RT dispatch those hanging spiders
"he had a healthbar, that means 'hes evil"
so fucking based RT. so fucking based.
Edit: damn RT, you have fantastic Souls-Borne instincts XD
"We'll kill hm before we end the playthrough."
Yes, that is indeed required for ending the playthrough.
It isn't required
@@jonzinizin5498 Can you actually submit your life? I've never seen that ending.
@@robertlarson7224 Yes, you can. I believe the hunter simply wakes up in that ending
@@jonzinizin5498 Huh, fair enough. I've never tried it, I always assumed that was some sort of back out of the fight thing
Wait, the moonlight greatsword consumes a bullet to fire a beam? That means it's the laser equivalent of a gunsword!
ironic, there are 2 literal gunswords in the game
Squall Leonhart would love it here
You know it’s kind of funny how let’s plays became less popular, and now these videos use “let’s play” in a different sense. We’ve come full circle
What do you mean a different sense? This is the original use of the term online, creating the let's play genre of gaming content on UA-cam.
Idk butter is a little baby but it’s so cool that lol lol so I’m excited about to get it back from you lol I just don’t think you need anything for like that lol I just don’t want you 😮 worry I don’t want to be a part of the evil wizard money gang
Yeah, the old format didn’t die so much as warp. I still poke at the LP archive occasionally
You gotta love that long form RT content
I appreciate it greatly!
The soundtrack for the Cleric Beast, during that fight all I could think of was "YOU THREW MY SANDWICH AWAY! MY SANDWICH!
aha, nowhere to run
Hey, everyone! That was indeed a very pleasant playthrough. I am sincerely happy that RT enjoyed the game. It's my personal favourite souls game, so far at least.
Also, RT, if you'll ever want to complete Chalice Dungeons, don't hesitate to summon. You have a wonderful fanbase, and there are plenty of people who would help you with those nasty spiders, and me as well (I was that Faze(rm) guy) would do my best there.
It was an honour to be a part of this journey. May the good blood guide your way.
in case no one explained to you in the stream Dan: by killing the Moon Presence, you become a Great One yourself, taking control of the Dream. and with the Orphan of Kos dead, the curse on Yarhnem and the Hunters is gone
That's honestly a really hopeful ending for one of these games, especially compared to the usual "people spend all eternity perpetuating a cycle of sacrifice" vs "everyone becomes a monster or dies"
@@Ryu1ify it's hopeful, unless your character is canonically an evil bastard who will bend humanity to their will.
The fact that Dan beat Gascoigne, the boss that you're SUPPOSED to counter, without countering.
He counters him as his first attack lol wdym
Dan finishing off every side quest and the dlc literally just before killing Gherman was really incredible to watch, it was watching everything wrapping up at once was an experience.
Ever since I've watched the streams, you have no idea how much I wanted this video
I doubt you'll see this RT, but if you want to look explanations for the lore of this game, I'd suggest T B Skyen's Bloodborne series. At the end of each video he goes in-depth onto his guesses at the lore for every boss and primary piece that he goes through. I personally LOVE his explanation on the Hunter's Nightmare.
On behalf of twitch chat, thank you everyone that helped Dan with the spiders.
My favourite part of any of RT’s Dark Souls playthroughs is when he says “Ow” like he’s being mildly inconvenienced or annoyed instead of recieving devastating wounds
At 1:13:09 the alien you killed was the orphan girl. After you told her that her parents were dead, she made her way to the clinic where she was experimented on and transformed
No, that one's the untrusting guy, pretty sure. Think the little girl is left to cry at her home (so long as you dont progress her quest)
Only good ending for her is to not do her quest
@@fjoltnyr2464 well she does turn into a beast at the same time as everyone else in yharnam. So no happy ending for her
@@beckettshaw660 well her sister didnt turn into a beast (granted, she kills herself right after we talk to her) after we kill rom, which I think is when everything goes to shit cus something 'bout rom shielding everything from the cosmic horror or something
I thought the Orphan Girl ends up in the belly of the pig in the Central Yharnam sewers. If you return to the pig after delivering the sad sad news, the pig drops a red messenger ribbon, the description of which suggests that it belonged to her.
I thought she wandered into the sewers and got ate up by the maneater boar
First Jacksepticeye replays Bloodborne and now you are playing blood borne this is amazing
You have got it mixed up
@@monstermasheryt8042 He was just trying to show support man
@@Solhurst yeah but I'd argue that RT playing bloodborne for the first time got Jack to post it on his channel (because Jack popped into chat on the first day)
@@zachhouston514 I understand that, and it's true, but he doesn't have to comment it on a comment just trying to be kind to RT
@@Solhurst He said a fact. Why are you so offended by that. He wasn't rude to anyone
A marvelous collection of highlights, but having Zullie the Witch at the end invite and grant Cut content with her coding skills for RT really is the icing on the cake here.
i love your “let’s play all of ____” videos, usually i can’t watch 1hr+ videos in one sitting but there’s just something about yours
2:35:25
An endless hunt, for a blood drunk Hunter.
Gets to ludwig and I just sit thinking "heh, Jack had issues. Lets see how you fair sir".
But I love watching series like this from the perspective of a newer player and an experienced player. Keep up the good work on these vids, I cannot wait for elden ring. I'll be watching your vids after I experience it myself though so keep a seat for me.
These really long playthroughs are really nice to watch, with the comedy and gameplay really coming together it helps me 'play' a game that a never have the money or time to. Thank you RT!
I cannot stress enough how much I love Jim Scary's laugh, and I absolutley want it
I just today got true ending with a friend who's been begging me to play it the entire time, had no idea that this would come out literally minutes after. I sure hope you were better at this game than I was :)
Props to him continuing to use lightning against Paarl
Wait a minute Jack also uploaded two bloodborn epidoes and he saw someone run past him with the kirk hammer. I know they probably didn't meet but I'm going to choose to belive that they met against all odds.
They are both Irish so if distance is a factor
They're most likely friends on steam etc since they play alot together so it genuinely might've been him
When in the video was this?
You and your editor did an incredible job of keeping a lot of the story/lore elements in this video. Thank ya thank ya
RT thank you for making content I can feel safe watching no matter how stressed or off kilter I am. It's been invaluable to me during these stressful years
1:11:46 because by his own admission Miyazaki goes into a fugue state and suddenly he's made a poison swamp when he comes out of it
RT not knowing the make contact emote and killing mensis makes me feel true emotional pain
His reaction to the shark well was just like everyone else’s lol “nope!”
Watching this on Twitch was bloody brilliant
I really want artwork of jim scary now, he really looks like a dapper fellow.
The watchdog of the old lords is quite literally a hot dog.
I just absolutely love that he isn't watching his hp for the last fight, so much that he doesn't notice his hp being at 1
"We'll beat the game, and then come back and murder him."
Oh you poor hunter.
Tbh it is kinda cute that some viewers joined to help Dan get through the spider rooms
You and Cloe did a great job condensing this playthrough omg! Also the thumbnail is very cool :)
fun fact, all the amygdala (the giant monsters that appear around yharnam and is also a boss), they are always there, you just can't see them unless you have enough insight
This stream and Sean beginning a new playthrough series of bloodborne are the main reasons why after nearly seven years I'm finally tackling and hopefully beating this powerhouse of a game.
I’ve bee waiting a long time for this, well played Rt and Ashtaric
4:53 The comedic timing there of "Trust Me" and then getting thrown into the sky
The lore of bloodborne it’s not complicated but is very cryptic basically a very religious group tricks everyone in yharnam and they turn there back to the first hunter, gerhman seeking for help was captured by the moon presence and you go to yharnam seeking to be god.
The dlc is basically kill the son of god to free the hunters from the nightmare
Sounds like it could work for a Kirby game too.
I love how about every 10 seconds there is just an old man shrieking “ahhhhhhhhhhhh”
I LOVE these long videos! As long as they’re made I will watch them :)
Shout out to the editor to, you always do an amazing job!
I really do love seeing all the playthroughs of bloodborne on youtube and stuff recently I love this game so much and seeing others come to like it as well is always a treat.
Can definitely relate to walking through a horrorscape and doing fine and suddenly going "Uh there's a spider in that room I'm gonna need some help"
1:18 everyone who's played the game before is just chuckling to themselves like 'little does he know'
I have been waiting since your Dark Souls video, which got me into FromSoft, to play this game or continue the Souls series, you are truly an amazing creator
"Im gonna close the console if i see spiders drop down from the cieling"
*is playing the entire game, including nightmare of mensis*
I guess he's been attending arachniphobics anonymous lately...
Congratz to Rtgame! You defeated the final boss! Very proud of you! Saddly there is a boss in the end of Chalice dungeons, takes forever and a strong build to get to. Your Queen is in another castle.
*THIRTY FOUR DAMAGE TO PAARL*
I feel so bad that RT fell for the “ooh strong weapon very good free win” trap that Dark Souls makes you fall into.
I was so psyched that you played one of my favorite games and enjoyed it!! Can't wait for the other games you'll play this year :) Fear the old blood RT
I'm too intimidated to pick up this game cause of the intense lore and secrets but I love the aesthetic and vibes of it. So I'm naturally enthralled by watching orders play it. Ty for a solid and hilarious run ✌ can't wait for Elden Ring, which I also can't play cause it's $60... 😅
its not that hard, people just over exaggerate its difficulty,
My God, the Drift King has actually done it…
“I’ll kill him before the playthrough is out” interesting choice of words, Daniel
The final swing to take down Paarl at 54:00 was perfect.
Good on Dan for beating Rom without help. I kind of thought that, due to the whole spider thing, he wasn't gonna be able to stand it, but no he handled it just fine.
Dan's "Nyehnyehnyehn" laugh for his Jim Scary voice is my new favourite thing ever.
