The song is I Trust You by Rie Takahashi, yeah, Emilia's voice actor. There was that moment where Emilia apologised to Al, then took it back and said thank you instead. A nice callback to that moment in s1 where Emilia told Subaru that a thank you is worth more than a thousand sorrys (or something like that) Emilia doesn't leave because if she does 1)Priestella will get flooded. The entire city has not been flooded yet. Only one of the watergates were opened, and only for a little bit 2)The wives will be punished. This was an interesting bit. Emilia asked herself why she felt so confident that Al will relay her message. In the novels, the narration said that she realised that it was probably because something about Al reminded her of Subaru That like about Wrath's Authority spreading loneliness was something that was described in more depth by Subaru's inner thoughts at an earlier point in the novels. Lilianna wouldn't've been the answer here. Their plan was to use Wrath's Authority to their advantage and spread hope throughout people even better, not to dispel it like what Lilianna does. That part is very important, about how Capella couldn't've been the one to open the watergate. The watergate opened while Capella was at the government building, and it was Capella's watergate. Regulus obviously didn't open it and I don't think it makes sense for the other Sin Archbishops to have been the one to open it, because if they were, why didn't they just open their own watergate if their goal was to punish them? They'd have to travel to a whole another tower to open Capella's watergate. So, who was it? Subaru's inner thoughts while everyone except Al was telling him that he was the right choice is interesting. He felt that everyone was grossly overestimating him. That they were misunderstanding him and gravely mistaken. That they were all far more praiseworthy, noble and hardworking than him. He felt like he could never match any of them, and didn't feel like he deserved the praise he was being given by the others. It made him more anxious. He felt like his real self would slip out and end up disappointing them and making them realise that the real Subaru is pathetic, weak and helpless. He was always desperate, almost being crushed by the expectations placed on him, and this was just adding more to the load Anastasia had actually given Subaru a draft, but he pretty much ignored it. He was also supposed to say his name early on, but he delayed it till the end, which I think was a good decision since it made his speech more relatable. The anime didn't really show it, but the older people were very shocked and become even more hopeful and trusting after Subaru revealed his name.
9:08 Is this leaked footage from a future season? (mandatory joke) It just occurred to me that none of the scary quotes from Emilia's 3rd trial have happened yet. So that means we're in the happy, fluffy part of Re:Zero. Rose, go back to the start of the episode. Look at the background behind Al. Notice something...?
Many people get drunk over Subaru's speech, which is good because his speech was splendid, I did also love it. People tend to forget Emilia's goals. As seen by Regulus, Emilia not being happy was the other wife's fault, and she didn't escape because the wives would be in danger. Emilia is doing her best to save the wives and buy most of the time for Subaru and others to come. I think you would already have reacted to episode 8 but here is cut content: Don't click read more if you haven't watched episode 8, it includes cut content of episode 8. Emilia was ready to fight against Regulus and had a plan to save all the wives, but looked defendless in the anime, which made her look weaker even though she is pretty strong. Funny thing I guess: Even Reinhard kicked the door from Subaru's side, the door would hit Regulus regardless because of his divine protection of auto-aim.
In my opinion it adds to her character , Lia standing up for the wives and not conforming to Corneas even with the literal risk of death is my #1 favorite invalidation of his rights.☠️ Like the wives, she would rather die than care about his rights. It’s more than the loyalty to Subaru; it’s the character Emilia is. The Emilia Echidna and a lot of people hate.✌️
Have you watched breaktime for 3x5? That one is really important for the story. I would say that other breaktimes are not as important as 3x5. So you can watch it right away without worrying about continuity
Subaru has come such a long way
The people who say Subaru doesn’t have significant character development in the series simply are not paying attention, or are lying.
Agreed, they simply didn't watch the entire show or are just plain blind.

I don’t get the point of posting the bottom part here when you could just post it on episode 8 when he drops it…
