Turns out, if there's a power steering leak, it will make it's way to the alternator! Just happened to mine. Curbed it, thought I fixed everything, have had alignment issues ever since,..thinking it's the Engine cradle..anywho, I had installed lowered motor mounts anticipating SCing it before 05/06 hood. Alas, the power steering rack was replace multiple times, only to continue to leak. Becoming a black hole. $$$
If you haven't already changed it, my research for the same leak lead me to the o ring on the hard line of the power steering pump, which sits directly above the alternator. I initially bought the wrong one online so went to the chevy dealership which had it in stock for around $10. I believe this is only relevant to the '04. I have not changed it yet but am confident it is the issue as I have removed the hard line and the o ring had all but disintegrated.

Redoing my alternator on my 05 as I’m watching this. I have a mishimoto radiator and getting these fans out is a mother ******.
Yeah it's a tight fit for sure especially with the aftermarket radiator that I'm sure is wider than the stock radiator. Sorry there isn't an easier way on these cars! You got it buddy!

I got the 3 bolts and the nut off the radiator, but I can’t get it to budge at all.
Take a pry bar or a long screwdriver and pry it out. Reference around 3:30 in the video I talked about that slightly. The bracket tabs are holding it in if you have the 3 bolts out. Pry it out!
