- This plane can do absolutely everything in the right hands... except destroy a base singlehandedly. In this video, I have four matches while using the F-5C, with one match being in the CAS role, as well as some tips, tricks, and advice along the way. Unfortunately, the matches that I did best in were immediately after I stopped filming, but I suppose that will always happen. Either way, I hope you enjoy this gameplay and the tips!

The F-5C can destroy a base single handedly on some maps, if you use the 3 1000 pounders or the 5 750 you should be able to get one.
The 18x 250 load out wipes out any base in one drop.
Yeah I use this as a ground pounding base bombing jet to when I don't feel like dog fighting and it works awesome

No shame in buying premium planes and stuff only those who can't afford it complain. I've grinded 4 entire tech trees so I have my right to buy whatever whenever
I use it get premium and for grinding/fun purposes

I can afford it and I complain, because that time where premium vehicles were just balanced planes with 5X boosted grind multipliers now they're seal clubbers, especially American, German and Russian _premium prototypes_
That's impressive Iv been playing for a while and Iv gor all american except for a few jets I need to buy with sl. I mainly like playing us but i have good progress on other countries as well
Had 30 battles in this plane and got nuked out the skies nearly every time. Very painful experience but at least no high repair buils.

Then you arent playing it right / enaging at the right time. I also struggled my ass off at first with this thing, but i then started playing with a predator mindset. I lurk above and dive on the guys below me when they get busy. Works like a charm
I’m sad I spent as much as I did. But I like the f5 and I’m stuck grinding at 4.0 so it makes a nice change of pace when you just wanna play ace combat for five mins
The xp50 would have been a much better purchase at 4.0 for grinding
My tactic to grind with it is: 18x 250lb bombs, go FAR left or right and bomb a base (i drop my bombs at 500-600 mph because f5c cant drop at supersonic) after that, Ill get someone from behind. My most recent match (as im commenting this) I got 1 base destroyed (10k SL for f2p acc and around 3k RP but much more with premium) And 4 air targets destroyed (1 AI as there were airfield campers) and we won, so around 15k RP and 60k SL (and i took no damage at all)

I just bought this last night at half price, but I haven’t been playing an awful lot and I’m nearly on us Tier 3, I have been playing the game for a while not necessarily grinding but just playing for fun on the British tech tree, but playing top tier is very different to lower tiers, so if you do choose to buy this plane for full price don’t expect to be farming phantoms straight away, expect to get blown out of the sky almost immediately, but the f5c is a very fun plane to fly and i find very effective for bombing basses especially with the 18x 250ibs load out, but remember at the end of the day it’s just a game and just have fun
I’ve been playing this game quite a lot through the years with some long pauses (months). I grinded vary nations to tier III and IV. I was wondering if buying this pack would be fun enough for me since I’m interested in having new experiences with jets in War Thunder but I’m a little worried about what people say about top tiers like ‘if you didn’t grind to that rank you don’t deserve playing cause you don’t have the required experience’. Idk if it’s true since I know some people who are good with jets even if they’re new to game and purchased high tier vehicles.
@@cristianc.6860 trust me bro, people who say that are just trying to ruin your fun, and I find people usually say stuff when their already dead early on, but yes people will say things but it won’t effect the playability of the game, and their very easy to ignore,
I gave it a try and after dying in combat for about 10~15 matches I was kinda impressed by what dogfight maneuvres it’s capable of, like the semi cobra stall maneuvre which actually saved me and got a cinematic like kill. Looking forward to play as much as possible to improve my kinda avarage aim. I think I’ll switch to arcade for some time just to get used to jet aim compensation.

So, I made the mistake. I was 3 planes into tier 4 I am soooooo close to flying jets I couldn't wait. Got the C over the weekend its now down to 10 BR but still its a hell of a lot of fun and its helping me gimp faster to jets before the weekend I was only 1 plane into tier 4

Just some advise for anyone going to buy the F5-C. I am pretty new to the game and only been playing for about a month and I'm playing the second row of American fighters( I'm tier 3) and I decided to go ahead and buy the F5-C. I have play about 40 rounds in it today and I have only got about 5 kills. This is only for me but I have no experience in jets. In conclusion I would not buy the jet if you have no experience in high tier jet combat.(great jet to fly though.)
don't buy the plane if you don't have jet experience!
Take 18x 250lb bombs try to snek bomb the base climb up and now you should be behind your enemies and able to get air kills. If you can't kill anybody just rtb and bomb again.
@@BikZom Also stay low, if your at a high altitude, you get sniped by missiles. Additionally, you can wait until you can wait until most are engaged in dogfight and then find a path to bomb.
wow. This thing is OP. Unfortunately I’m F2P and even if I did I only have experience with rank 3 US so I don’t think it would be good
I've seen level 1's do well in this thing but then again those people are probably people who will sell accounts for a high bid.
Honestly your rank doesnt matter man. Someone whos a low rank will do very similarly to say someone who grinded rank 5 and is just trying a jet for the first time. The gameplay is really completely different from props

-Begin playing the game a week ago.
-Enjoy the game.
-Experience le grind.
-Say f*ck it and buy a 60 dollar plane.
-Dont have a clue on how to use it.
10/10 will do the same with naval(not ground battles tho, that shit I wouldn't touch with a rod).

There is no shame in buying premiums some people just don’t want to or have time to grind the tech tree. Just don’t buy a top tier vehicle if you have no experience or it’s a bad vehicle make sure to go in to a test flight and test it out. And do some research on the vehicle. And don’t forget every vehicle has its own play style. I suggest you gain a bit of experience before starting to buy premiums especially jets or just grind the tech trees it’s up to you. But if your looking to get in to the higher tier vehicles then go right ahead no ones stoping you I’m just saying get some experience first so have a great day:)

Well you seem right, but I bought the same jet in the video after reaching a max of rank 3, and I got around 7 kills with it in my first ten games. I learnt the controls quite fast I believe.

Combat flaps when turning in a fight dont go over 700k/mh with combat flaps on or they will snap off, airbrake for losing speed for landing and if your lucky losing enough speed to get the person off your tail and in front of you

Should i buy harrier or f5c
The Harrier is a much lower BR. I personally feel that, for the BR, the F-5C is a much better plane. Far more versatile.

what is better for grinding? av8a or f5c?
If you play air rb only, then just go with the f5c, if you want close air support in ground rb and pair it with the xm-1 you can choose the av8a and you shouldn't see many uptiers like you would with playing the xm-1 and f5c.
both super capable grinders and depends what you are trying to grind I suppose.

@@kacperr3298 I flank to widest base then cut in behind and always just stare mig's in the ass as they are super hot afterburners, if they are turning or notice you don't bother wasting a missile ,

They really should've given the USSR a better premium to compete with this. Right now playing red team is pain. They couldve done some sort of premium mig-19 to combat this thing. That su-7 is useless.
They will have to give the USSR a numerical advantage. They are set for the pain train when the teen series gets in the game.
Iirc the MiG-19pt was the only version able to mount missiles while keeping gun armament.
