The tensioner will pull back to get you slack so the belt can come off. Hold the tension at the same time you slide the belt off. It's either a 3/8 or 1/2 inch pry bar. At any local parts store.
3/8 or 1/2 inch pry bar. It has the same shape (square ) as the rachets. You can use a rachet if that's all you have on hand. Use a jack poll to slide over the handle of the rachet for more pressure.
