New Group 7 oil filter review

This filter is made by Purolator, what can I say nice about it🤔, the base plate is nice along with baseplate seal. Wow this is not a good filter, but it does have flimsy metal ends for the Filtration. I personally would not use it.

I have seen these around here in the USA, did not think of them as a great filter. Mostly used by quick change establishments. Very cheap. Thanks Bill.😊

We used these filters in the shop years ago- mid 80’s. Never a problem with them. Haven’t seen them in a long time. I have to look into seeing who is selling them

This filter could of been pretty old, not sure. Friend sent it to me last year.

Using this filter is 100 times better than all the clogged oil filters that are out there right now. Running on cars.

Yes Robert I agree, except I personally would not have this one on my shelf again. Even a Orange can us better than clogged filters, well barely better. Lol🤣

Side road garages use these and shop tech from cases. Only seen a few.. used tough guard till I opened one. Off center felt 1/8 inch over metal core. Jagged holes against anti drain back seal. The Purolator gets my vote.Boss was perfect used!

Looks like a no name brand of filter . It will do in a pinch but swap it for a better one when you can 🤷🏻‍♂

well if it was assembled properly I would give it a passing grade but it is not, you didn't mention it but at 3.33 min it shows that the anti-drain back valve is pinched between the base plate and the end cap making it absolutely useless, it looks like a cheap Wix made for shop use, it is not great but still better than an orange Fram.

Thanks Bud, did not notice that the adbv was pinched, took another look and yeah it's so sloppy build. Gotta be the worse built filter I have looked at.🫣
