The Lamplighters League takes proven concepts from other tactics games and puts them together into a novel blend. It takes an unfortunate amount of time to get going, but once it does the tight, meaningful strategic layer ensures that every mission, no matter how banal, matters to your overall campaign. The superb enemy and hero design gives you great stuff to work with as you use real-time stealth takedowns to prepare for tactical fights. Sure, sometimes the partially procedurally generated maps throw up a frustrating scenario, or an ability works a bit weird, but I was more than happy to take those in stride in order to undertake a globetrotting pulp adventure in such an interesting and engaging world. - Ігри
Just played and finished this, and it’s the most fun I’ve had in a turn-based game since XCOM 2. I don’t understand why it’s not getting as much praise - like the reviewer says, it’s hot it’s flaws, but it’s overall a lot of fun and it’s made with love.
The artistic direction looks incredible, especially ennemy designs and lore !

The stealth mechanics absolutely blow for a game that is 75% stealth
It’s not 75% stealth. It’s about 30% stealth, 30% strategy world map stuff and 40% turn based combat

Reminds me a lot of that one game where you fought cthulhu cultists mid-ww2 with a group of small people. Very similar UI and same gerne of play

This game crashes at least 3 times per hour. Many times right after youve just completed a mission and are trying to save. Very frustrating...
They should definitely use the music of that new band , The Lamplighters, their song D'Ya Got Soul would fit this perfectly!
An Xcom-like that is lighter is substance but thats not a bad thing, really. Ive been watching a playthrough from Christopher Odd and Im liking what Im seeing. Hes a big fan of XCom 2 and similar games and hes really enjoying this one.
Perfect game to play on the steam deck, had lots of fun!

This game was a mess on my Series X. Around halfway in, the performance really nosedived and it kept crashing, making me lose mission progress. Also, there are a few bad bugs that make gameplay very frustrating. Its just lacking polish which is a shame b

Oh look, another 7/10. IGN has become useless. I'll wait for other YT'ers to review this game. I'm rapidly approaching the point of simply not even checking what IGN has to say about a game anymore.
What do you need to look at a review for if you can't tell by the gameplay if you will like it then that's wild as well as you should know kind of games you like if you like turn base games then you should play it. Mutant Year Zero, Miasma Chronicles, Wasteland, Xcom, Shadow run, If you like any of those then you should play this as it's similar to those, If you haven't played any of these then clearly you're not into these type of games, Just get game pass & you can just play the game & see if you like it sometimes reviews don't do games justice especially when you're in new to a genre
Too bad the game wasnt optimized for its Xbox release. It seriously performs like a PS2 game on consoles right now :/

Releasing it as exclusive for console that doesn't even have 30% market share and on game pass.. It great example of how not to do a release.
bad design/graphics, uninteresting premises, stealth in a game like this simply doesnt work and isnt fun , that would be my take why it flopped.
