Hello everyone! Well, it appears from the microscope that doubling has occurred on both the reverse and obverse of my 1992D Lincoln Cent. After research, Yes, this is a mint error, but I conclude that this error was the result of "Machine Doubling" error and NOT a "Doubled Die" Variety, (DDO/DDR) as I stated in the beginning of the video and title.
I do not want to mislead any followers/subscribers with incorrect information for "likes" or Views". My apologies if I have caused confusion. I have thus updated the title on this video to reflect this correction.

Look at my DP I really have one of the rare doubling coin I am a collector of India and collected lot many amirican coins too....
Hello and thanks for watching! Are you considering selling your US error coin? If your coin is in very nice condition, consider sending it off to be graded. Check the current value of the American coin on Ebay "Sold" coins for the type of coin you have.
Thank you, greatly appreciated you pointing this out !❤️
No problem 😊
Coin has character for sure!
Nice find! I have a 1992 double die obverse.
Congrats!
You got it right DDO/DDR
Nice fine you got there. Thanks for sharing this with us. It's not the real Mccoy, but it's a good one.
Nice find.
I have the same coin...LOL...with the same doubling but mine has some distinct plating error. Thanks for the video, it made go check mine again.
Liked and subbed 🤠👍
Thank you and I hope you enjoy the content!
Nice find buddy. Im always looking for errors but have never found one but my eyes aren't that great. I did get a loope recently so I just have to take a seat and go through all my old stuff. Congrats on your find.
@The Anxious Stacker-Thank you, I thought I was looking at shadowing, and I kept adjusting my lighting with my loupe, but the microscope confirmed my thoughts. Thanks for watching and your comments.
@@silverstackcoinscollectibl1579 absolutely buddy. It makes me want to get a digital microscope but I don't deal in as much change as I used to since I closed down my bank accounts so I just need to take a afternoon and go through all the change I have. Hoping to find something good to put the profits into my stack but I don't know everything I should be looking for on each denomination.

Stop over to my channel & have a look around.
Take care.
@@silverstackcoinscollectibl1579 Thankyou. Never stop looking. I ve found quite a few error coins in my change jar over the years. Some need to be graded that are more valuable.
That's not doubling. Look at one of the A's. You can't double the same letter twice and what appears to be doubling everywhere, cannot double on both sides of a letter at the same time.
this is more like a bad die than a double, no?
@@sylviacrafts6704it’s a bad die it’s not a error machine doubling is common and adds no value to the coin, true doubling occurs on one side of the letters or numbers and you can have triple die doubling occur more than twice.
Nice
Thank you for watching and commenting. I glad you liked the video!
Very nice double die ❤
Nice 😊😊😊
Thank you for liking and watching my video. Glad you liked it!
I've found thousands of coins with machine doubling it's pretty common. I have noticed people are buying some of the good ones lately which is crazy to me..
Its a buyers market, some coin double die, machines doubling hub doubling.if the coin looks nice it watevr some1 is willing ti pay for it
Pormisih tuan saya punya satu keping uang kuno koin kalau saya jual gimana caranya tuan semoga kita tetap sehat sehat selalu
I found a 1991D last night just like this penny. Easy to see doubling.
Congrats! I need to check my 1991 collection for sure!
I have the same coin! But the coincommunity said it's only a good example of machine doubling and a weak die. It is so extreme now I feel like it should be listed as an official error for the cherrypickers guide but don't know how to go about that. On mine the entire Memorial is doubled looks like it was stamped out twice. And in the word states on the reverse it even looks like it was tripled
Machine doubling AKA die doubling, is rampant in Lincolns. I have probably over a hundred. The best examples are in the late 60's and early 70's San Francisco mint. Some have doubling in both obverse and reverse. Unfortunately, because they are not true double dies, and are plentiful, only very high grade MS-68+ coins have value. However, every time I magnify one of my best specimens, I'm still blown away because some of the doubling is quite extreme, and I smile.
Send it off for grading and your statement
I just found one like yours in change I got back from a purchase today.
Fantastic! I have not sold mine or had it graded at the moment. Thanks for watching!

FFSD flat field, strike doubling
What type of microscope do you use?
I use digital microscope by Elikliv.
Thank you. I just found one almost identical to the one you showed in this video. What did you do with it? Did you you get it verified? Or did you get it graded? Am I sitting on a pile of money? I hope. Let me know what's up please? Thank you
Hi Ruben and thanks for watching and asking. Actually, I put this coin back into my Lincoln cent folder collection. I did not decide to have it graded/verified (Yet). Most viewers don't feel this coin has any value, since it is "Machine strike doubling". The one thing you can check is to see if your coin is the variety of "Close AM" on the reverse. Here is the PCGS website to check if you yours looks like it:

Thanks as always for watching!!!

They say machine doubling coins are worthless?
Hello and thanks for watching. Coin collector value is subjective. Someone who likes machine doubling may pay extra for these types of errors. Most of the time, if the error is not a publicly confirmed error: (Redbook, Cherry Pickers Guide ,Wexler's,.etc) people will normally overlook it as non-valuable.
Lo tengo
I have this exact coin found it last night don’t know if it’s worth something
Hello and thanks for watching! Check to see if you have a "Close AM" on the reverse. This is a verified error and considered rare.

Hello and thanks for watching! I would suggest checking NGC or PCGS website for this coin variety and grade.

Hello @andiprapancha1908 and thanks for watching! If you know for sure you have 3 "Close AM" 1992D Lincoln cents, I would have it sent off for grading. Here is what a real Close AM looks like:

Hi Scorpio, Right now, I don't know what the value of this coin is?
It's worth atleast melt value plus a penny
This a deterioration die
No double die weong
That's not a double dye it's machine doubling or strike doubling means it was struck twice by the dye. Not do ddr
I agree. Updates have been made. Thanks for watching.
I'm just learning my self I have a 2008 D Alaska state quarter that has doubling but I thought it was double dye but it turns out it is strike doubling yeah still doubling but not worth as much as a truly double dye like a 1955 penny you know. Just passing on what I've learned about mine thank you for your response good luck .
@@shawn-vp4tk
It's actually die deterioration.
I have some videos up if interested.
Take care.

I have a video up that shows how to spot doubling very easily and other coins to look for.
Close AM $
Hello @zakeharrop5369 and thank you for watching. Based on my visuals, I do not believe it is a "Close AM" Lincoln cent. There is a slight gap in-between "A" and the "M". They literally need to be touching each other for this error to be valid. Here is what the "Close AM" 1992 D is suppose to look like:
www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/1992-d-1c-close-am-bn/83099
Again appreciate you viewership and comment.
I have 2 penny sir
i have one ,,, and i sell it $200 for almost 5months and untill now noone is interested to buy it.....
Hello @user-cs9wm6hn4h and thanks for watching. You may need to lower your price point and check to see if a similar coin has already been sold at the price range you are asking. If you do see a coin like this posted, you may be overpricing based on other listings. Hope that helps.
Can you help me sir
Hello, thanks for watching? What help are you looking for?
Wexlers Double Dies doesn’t show any machine doubling on these lincoln cents 😂
Your correct :) I checked Wexlers and it is not there. We'll not there yet at most ...lol
Some collect machine doubling but it is not a 'double die coin and it is not an ERROR COIN either. There is no true collector value to this penny. It is worth a cent, but some people will buy this and collect machine doubled coins anyway. It is not correct to say this is any sort of an error coin it is NOT AN ERROR it is caused by the deterioration of the die not by any mechanical error. This is a common occurrence not some rare thing. Not a thing rare about that really. I coin roll hunt and toss these back and do not keep them even though some people will buy them I do not sell and I would never sell a coin that is not a true error or variety.
Thanks for your comment and for taking the time to watch my video. Coin collecting can be very subjective, and what some collectors don't value, others enjoy. That is the reason for my video. Again. Thanks for watching, and have a great week going forward!
