Daniel, I've found a Lincoln cent that has been stuck through on it's obverse side to the extent that nothing is legible. Outside of the silhouette that's Lincoln's bust that is. The reverse is legible, with the Memorial bldg. and it's corresponding wording, it's obvious to all, this is a Lincoln cent. What makes this coin different is, it weighs only 2.5 grams! Now I know what your going to say, Oh, it's probably a copper coated Zinc cent. Well, no it's not. And this I'm absolutely sure of. My problem is, though I've searched coin rolls from the banks for over five years now, and have in fact studied your videos in all that time, I've never attempted to sell a coin. Well maybe once. But I was unsuccessful so I don't count that one. Though I'd like to get this coin out to someone to study for me so as to get an accurate reading of it, I'm concerned of it getting lost or stolen. I've studied this coin inside out and up side down, and I tell you, this coin is in fact a discovery coin I'm stuck with and just don't know what to do with. Which is a damn shame because, I can really use the money it would bring in. For fear of losing it ( not ever having the experience of sending it out by mail) I'm forced to sit on it indefinitely... What a darn shame! Once more, it's a struck through Lincoln cent on its obverse, where no wording is legible, that has a Memorial reverse that weighs 2.5 grams and is COPPER! If that's not a discovery coin, then I can toss five years of coin collecting experience out the window! Anyway, thanks for listening, I guess I just needed someone's shoulder to cry on. Best of luck buddy!
No. I do not recommend weighing. You can see most zincolns by the plating bubbles and luster or even their sound. You can weigh the years known for the transitional planchets.

I found a 1996 DDR where the doubling occurs at the top of AMERICA and at the bottom of CENTS. I’m not sure what the value of it is because I haven’t seen it anywhere else? It’s also in somewhat circulated condition.
I am afraid I can't help with unknown varieties. You can contact a CONECA representative through their website and see about sending it to them.

These anomalies are not what you look for, you look for doubled dies and repunched mint marks or wide am or close am cents. Varieties and errors you can research and learn what they look like before even searching.
