Thanks for that video! I'm looking for an update that you can find easily for infotainment system (Seltos EX 2021) in the USA, but it's not available in Canada? Trying to have wireless Apple CarPlay
Unsure if Kia has the necessary tech.. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto use a localized Wifi connection instead of bluetooth. If the necessary chips are there it would be a programming change but Kia/Hyundai have been pretty firm about not opening up wireless CarPlay and Android Auto to screens that have navigation
Do you happen to know if this is the same screen software for other 8" Kia cars? I am buying a 2023 K8 that comes with 8" screen and I am worried it wouldn't have the same functionality of the larger 12" screens on full option models. Thanks for the content it is much appreciated
Yes it’s the same screen across the board for their 8” models. It’ll look slightly different in other models but it’ll still have wireless CarPlay and Android Auto with no factory nav
What year is your Seltos? The feature is really a few years old in the Seltos... But Seltos models with this smaller screen have wireless CarPlay and Android Auto where as the larger 10.25" one is a wired connection. If your car isn't recognizing a USB connection you might need to replace the cable.. Check this video out that talks about fixing CarPlay --> ua-cam.com/video/Rw_b44CPH24/v-deo.html

There's unfortunately no update available anywhere to give you wireless CarPlay or Android Auto if your screen doesn't come with it...
@@CarsWithSteve It should be a question of software, programming? With what's already installed in the car, Kia may create an update...no?

I got the same Kia selfies with the same screen but GCC model I went all they but I didn’t show a phone projection ?

I can’t connect CarPlay without usb cable
Do you have this smaller 8" screen or the larger 10.25" one? This smaller screen supports wireless but the larger one is a wired connection only
