- Hi, and welcome back to my channel. For this video tutorial I thought I would show you how I create my gumpaste peony flowers. These are great to make to decorate wedding cakes and birthday cakes. They can be made in any size and any colour and look great combined with other flowers to give a real floral effect. I really hope you enjoy this video.

I’m living in George, Western Cape, South Africa!
We have a lot of humidity this time in this area!
That means your fondant flowers etc will dry & the next day, they would go completely damp, falling flat!
What can one do to keep one’s work firm & dry?
I just help to do decor for the cakes my daughter 9:15 bakes @ her coffee shop

Hi, great thanks, very useful. How did you get the gum paste so dark? My paste seems to go so wet when I add the concentrate dye.
Use powder colour.

Question do you use any other brand of edible glue if Squire's isn't available?
Nice video but with one suggestion. Instead of putting the flower upright with paper towels to dry, it easier to hang upside down to dry, it gives a more natural look to the flower.

Can i use centre stryfoam ball?
Ma'am I have done same as you did. But after a day my petals were strat to crack. May I know what I did wrong?
