    Great instruction. I wouldn’t have the music though. It distracts. Normally I turn off sound. Often creatives get stressed with extra sounds when trying to master the instructions , especially ADD & OCD folks. I am both😂Instruction is perfection though. You are incredibly gifted- gorgeous work! ❤️

    You have the best tutorials I've watched. Thank you for all your time you put into these videos and attention to all detail! I was wondering how you make your gum glue?
    I have always preferred to work with buttercream for flowers and on occasion modeling chocolate, however, I have a wedding cake coming up in August and it is so hot and humid that I am not happy with the results of modeling chocolate. I'm so excited to try out your gum paste recipe! Burgundy is also my favorite color of Peony! Thank you for sharing!

    • @FinespunCakes
      @FinespunCakes  3 роки тому

      Thank you Jodi! Gum glue is 1/8tsp CMC mixed with 45g boiled then cooled water. Refrigerate overnight then it’s ready to use in the morning.
      Let me know how the flowers go!

    • @FinespunCakes

      It should be thin enough that it's translucent. When you have your hand behind the paste you should be able to see the outline of it. I think about 1.5-2mm

    Hey, absolutely love your tutorials. Every little step is taught so patiently, thank you for that. I had a query, I wanted to know if you store your gum paste in the refrigerator at all times unless you want to use it and thats when you bring it out of the refrigerator right? And is there a way to store fondant cakes in the refrigerator? Looking forward to your reply, thank you!!

    • @FinespunCakes
      @FinespunCakes  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Zahara, Thank you! Yes I do store it in the fridge unless I'm using it. You can store fondant cakes in the fridge, I usually will put them in a closed corrugated cardboard box to prevent excessive humidity.

    • @FinespunCakes

    Hi, could you please give the link for your silicone mat you roll out and cut out on? You put very little corn flour on your mat so it doesn't dry out so much. I can see the link for the sponge mat but not the silicone mat. I have tried several mats and granite slabs and I haven't found one yet that doesn't need corn flour to stop flower paste sticking. Thanks
