This edible glue recipe is also on my blog and contains in depth information about edible glue:
    www.arisecakecreations.com/ho...
Sugar Glue / Edible Glue Recipe
    www.arisecakecreations.com/ho...
*Clean Container for storing the glue
¼ tsp CMC or Tylose powder
1/3 cup of boiled water (that has cooled slightly)
This recipe is for a small quantity to get you started if you need more, just double the recipe. Take a clean container, add 1/4 tsp of CMC or Tylose powder, then add 1/3 cup of boiled water (that has cooled slightly), pour the water over the CMC or Tylose powder give it a stir or a shake. Leave it overnight or for at least for 4 hours until cooled to room temperature. It may look cloudy at first, with lumps, but don’t worry about this, the lumps will dissolve, and you will be left with a clear solution, that can be used on any edible creation. Once made up, it must be stored in the fridge and can be kept for up to 1 month.
Equipment Used for The Frill Open Peony:
    • 28-gauge white florist wire - For the petals
    • 24-gauge florist wire - For the Pistils
*18-gauge florist wire - To extend the stem
*Frill Peony cutters (or template provided)
    *Small headed stamen
    * Veining tools - Peony silicone Veiner
    *Scalpel or scissors
    *Groove board (Cel board)
    • Wire cutters
    • Ball tool (plastic or metal is fine)
    • Rolling pin (6” or 9”)
    • Florist tape in light green colour
    • Silicone chocolate mould or make mould from foil
    • Paint brushes - For edible glue and dusting petal dusts
    • Foam pad
*Steamer (for setting petal dust) OR steam over hot water in a saucepan
    • Sugar glue* Container for storing sugar glue if you make it yourself
    • Petal dust - Colours according to the colour of the flower you want to do
*Edible Colour paste if you colour your gumpaste
    • Corn flour/Corn starch - To prevent gumpaste from sticking
    • Trex/Crisco/Vegetable shortening - For conditioning gumpaste
*Something to insert your flower into as you work - Such as Styrofoam/cake dummy or floristry Oasis
*Zip lock bag, glass to cover gumpaste or airtight container - To stop your gumpaste from drying out
Edible Gel colours I used: Sugarflair - Skintone & Wilton - Creamy Peach to colour gumpaste
Edible Dust colours I used: Sugarflair - Egg Yellow & Primrose to colour stamen, Sugarflair - Blush Pink & Crystal Colors - Tree Bark & Cherry For Katie mixed together to highlight petals at the base

@@luckypdavis6076 Thank you for you lovely comment☺️
If you are using pre-made gumpaste (purchased from a shop), there is no need to add additional tylose to the gumpaste. If you are making the gumpaste yourself then you will need to add tylose (CMC, it's the same thing). I have two gumpaste recipes you can try if you want to make your own gumpaste.
      1. Traditional Gumpaste made with egg whites: ua-cam.com/video/_4yljhd0npI/v-deo.html
      2. Vegan Gumpaste no egg whites or gelatin: ua-cam.com/video/z5qbqYPRpqc/v-deo.html
I also have a blog with more tips and information to go along with these tutorials:
      1. Traditional Gumpaste Blog: www.arisecakecreations.com/home/blog-easy-gumpaste-recipe?rq=Gumpaste
      2. Vegan Gumpaste Blog: www.arisecakecreations.com/home/vegan-gumpaste-no-eggs-no-gelatin

I'm really glad that you love this tutorial. Thank you for letting me know you would like to see the bud & leaves. I do have other tutorials lined up, so not sure I will get it in before next month (peony is a summer flower) So, what I will aim to do is write a quick blog with a short video on it and share it that way. Is that OK? I will let you know when I have done it. Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it🥰

Thank you for your question. Sugar flowers can be keep a long time, in an air tight container with silica gel packs. Make sure to keep sugar flowers away from moisture or humidity, this with ruin the flowers. I hope this information helps🌸🤗

Beautiful tutorial,I'm a beginner at this , can u please tell me how much time you keep the petals to dry please

    • @AriseCakeCreations
      @AriseCakeCreations  Рік тому +1

Thank you for your comment. The amount of time you let the petals dry, will depend on the type/brand of gumpaste you are using. I made this Peony with my Traditional gumpaste recipe. Which dries very quickly. However, if you are a beginner it may be a bit harder to work with. I have an alternative gumpaste recipe which is my vegan gumpaste recipe. It is great to work with if you are a beginner, it dries slower and gives you time to work with it. The length of time petals/leaves take to dry will also depend on your environment, if it is dry or humid. If you are in a humid area, things will take longer to dry or become firm so they hold their shape. Here is the link to my vegan gumpaste recipe www.arisecakecreations.com/home/vegan-gumpaste-no-eggs-no-gelatin?rq=vega which gives you all the information, tips and techniques about it.
      I hope this helps🥰🤗

Can we use sticks instead of wire

    • @AriseCakeCreations
      @AriseCakeCreations  2 роки тому +1

Thank you for your question. You can do the centre attached to a stick/skewer, but attaching the stick (by using a glue gun) to half a polystyrene/styrofoam ball (the size of the ball will depend on the size of flower you want to make). The flat surface of the ball, needs to be covered with gumpaste, then you can make the pistils to be stuck to the flat surface in the middle. The stamen will wrap around the edge of the styrofoam ball. The petals will then be stuck to the styrofoam ball, so you will not have make individual wired petals. I hope this makes sense and helps🤗
