Which car suits me best in ACC if this is what I want the car to react to.. I turn in relatively early into a corner, take an early apex to keep the car flat, rotate the car a bit, keep it flat again and repeat it. Making the corner into multiple diagonals.
You have a Diff Oil tuning video ? Looking at Tyler, Adam, Ryan and David they're all over the map. Ty actually has a reverse oil viscosity then everyone. Why ? Awesome videos man !!
Great information. Can you do another that goes into more detail about why it's better to go over a jump wing high. Maybe add a demonstration, showing a car jumping wing low then wing high. Show how it's make s the car faster over a jump
I think MM being fastest only applies to indoor and sugared tracks. At the loose outdoor tracks I've been to, racing on dirt, RM has been the set-up of choice for most racers. including all of the fast guys. Totally agree on the driving style described for RM. I just got into 10th scale this season and this is what I found worked best.
Hmm, that is very interesting. I am still skeptical based on the fact that I never see any youtube videos of the Pros racing on actual loose dirt comparable to what is raced on in the region.
Devin Byrnes you have a very valid point.....but i will say sometimes the surfaces are much looser than they look....like the first couple of days at the 2014 ROAR 1/10 Nationals...
ShortCourseWorld Schumacher and xfactory been saying this for years, a decade even, that MM is faster everywhere. Im not sure about the setup window being so narrow, maybe newer mm cars dont have such a narrow setup window. I never driven a mm car but I hope they dont have a narrow setup window, because many track's conditions change throughout the day and if it were true with such tracks they should stick to RM.
If tire cost was to be disregarded I would be throwing the buggies into the corner sideways, controlling the drift, avoid the spin out, stay on the throttle (not 100% ofcorse) and would end up having more throttle and throttle control and acceleration out of the corner. Easily done with a lower roll center RM car (B4) not high roll center RM car (B3). If driving with MM i think i would end up drifting further into the corner going wider losing valuable ground. MM drivers have to be smoother. Id like to see an aggressive driver test both and show us lap times. For smooth driver the MM would be indeed faster everywhere.
XtremeRC cheers mate! I have been thinking durango as i can pick up 2wd buggy 2wd sc and 4wd sc kits for under $700 for three kits, and durango are way before there time with having the choice of rear and mid motor config in the 2wd classes, where alot of bigger companies are only starting to do this now. Plus i have great parts support for them at my local track :-)
That is what I plan to do. I haven't done it since I was a kid but am planning on getting back into it, although there doesn't seem to be a lot of tracks here in Michigan.
If mid motor is so much better than rear than how come Ryan Cavalieri has been beating people at the top of the podium with his B4 in the last decade? Mid motor technology has been around for the last 3-4 decades but the RC industry is trying to sell it now? Losi, X-factory, and Centrino guys have been making mid motor kits in the last 5 years but Cavalier has been pushing his B4 at the top of the podium in the last 5 years. Associated is just starting to make mid motor kits now in 2015. Bottom line its all about driving skills and preference not the kit.

Looking forward to more tips. All your videos are gold and entertaining!
That's an awesome why on describing mid and rear motor driving. Nice job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good thing I watched this, I just finished building a B5M. Now I have an idea on what to expect. :)
I watch this channel more than I do my tv
I think I've always driven the mm way, which is part of why I've not done so well in buggy. Thats gonna change this winter.
Do work son!

Thanks for watching.....good luck with your new kit!
Yup..no expo, 100% steering..top of the front and rear shocks all the way in. Roll through the corners and roll on the gas.
