I have one of these with complete Sram XX1 AXS setup, an absolute gem of a bike. This bike is so capable of doing so many tasks. PIVOT have really designed a perfect 'Trail Bike'. Do yourself a favor and go ride one, you will not be disappointed.
I have the pro xt build. I love this bike. I love how it’s an actual trail bike. Especially for somebody like me with a short torso I don’t like super long bikes and super steep seat angles. I love this bike
I’ve had this bike for just over a year in a Pro XT version. I totally agree with everything you said about this bike. It’s a great trail bike and I continuously push the limits with it. Highly recommend this bike if you’re thinking of getting one.
thanks for the review, I have a 2014, 429... For someone in the 50+ age bracket, I love mine, so I might just get the 2020 version and remain absolutely happy... PIVOT just build quality fun.
Another great bike review. Wanting to add a second bike to my garage. Have a Yeti Sb5+ and plan to keep it. My trouble is, when it comes to Mtb, I love them all.
Really enjoy your reviews and riding videos. you and mtb yumyum do some of the best bike reviews on youtube. I was wondering if you could do a review on the intense tracer, transition patrol and/or the pivot mach 6. thanks
I've narrowed my big list of trail bikes down to 2: Yeti 130 & this Trail429.....until I saw the Switchblade yesterday... I've really enjoyed your reviews since I'm riding in eastern WA & we're about the same height. 85% of my riding will be local trails, but I'd like my 1st full.susp to be capable of chasing friends @ Silver MT several times a summer. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated & if the fam makes it up your way for summer vacay--it'd be great to find your shop!
Great review! Think I made the right decision with my purchase of one of these this past weekend. I'm 6'2 and went for the XL but plan to shorten the stem from what comes standard. I'm going from a 10 year old hardtail with a 70.75 degree headtube angle (hahah), so I think this will be an excellent transition into full suspension.
@@IslandBikeLife Really looking forward to this. Those two are on my short list, as well as Giant Trance. Looking to eventually replace my 2005 Yeti 575.

Excellent editing btw: I really liked dividing up the speaking sections with video of actual trail riding; it kept my interest.
Thanks for the feedback. Cheers!

Right on! Thanks for watching
Can't wait to see a comparison between the Trail 429 and the 2020 Tallboy. Seem very similar.
Working on that now, the new Tallboy seems pretty amazing. Great looking numbers and build options.
Great review. Nice editing. Concise information. I love my pivot 429 trail.
Thanks for watching!

I have the same problem!

I am looking to do the Patrol and the Mach 6. Finding an Intense demo here is tricky. Thanks for watching and the support.

Great review man. Pivot looks like a fun ride!
Thanks for watching!
Would love to hear a review/comparison between this and the SB115. Eyeing one of those to compliment my 150!
I would like to demo one also, it looks really fun. Finding a demo might be challenging these days however.

Oh man, what an upgrade! Thanks for watching
Great reviews. You liked the Ripley a lot too, if you had to pick between the two, which would you go for?
I have a head to head video coming out soon, stay tuned for that.

What was the weight of this bike? Thanks
I am not sure, never did weight it.
Can we expect a tallboy 4 review soon?
Yes you can!
429,Ripley, Tallboy or Orbea Occam? What would you buy?
I have never been on the Occam. But out of the other three I would go with the Tallboy. Thanks for watching.
Island Bike Life thanks
