I bought CSL 1 and basically all the DLCs and as fun as it looks could never get into it. NOW this game along with a few other has me planning to get Gamepass
One of the tricks open world game developers use to make worlds feel big is to hide things behind other large scale things, obstructing how much of the map you can see at a time. The bigger buildings and more impressive terrain is likely what causes maps to truly feel bigger even if the actual numbers are smaller.
Your city definitely looks very impressive. But what surprises me most is that your CPU, which has been around for almost 10 years now, can still handle the game so well. Maybe you'll take the step and get a slightly newer CPU at some point. Something like an i7 8700K or a new i5 from the 10th to 13th Intel generation would be enough.
Dude what you did with the airports and metro and train way... blew my mind! Just bought the game and cant wait to learn and put to use your techniques! :) Love the content always, love from Canada!

You should definitely make a series with real world interchange recreations in CS2! The Springfield Interchange (Virginia, USA) would be a tricky but awesome recreation.
Grymt bra stad! Tror att många hade tyckt det hade vart mycket spännande om du gjorde typ en väldigt nordsvensk stad. Kanske lite Kiruna eller nåt med mer rural och kanske baserat runt någon stor industri.
lights to highways are a thing you can add but but im not sure what you mean about lines. Underground power lines are included in most streets but you can also add extra lines (underground and overground wires).
Amazing city and beautiful work, but one constructive criticism to add (take it if you want, or not), the two airport terminals would be better at 90 degrees to each other. In airports runways are usually 180 degrees and 90 degrees to each other to compensate for various wind directions as planes always take off with headwind and land with tailwind. Love your builds and I can't wait to get me hands on the game too!
Yeah i kinda want to try the 90 or 90isch degree airport idea now 😅 the approach paths may prevent them from being too close to each other but id like to try at least
Hey Tadeusz, I wasn’t able to watch much CSII content so far. Your videos were beside Moose’s the only ones so far. I really like that you compare CS I and II tools with each other. All the videos let me feel the Teddy vibe. And building an airport reminds me at very intense 16 hours we had together on Twitch when you build for the global build off. I don’t think I really understood any of your explanation but good to know that you neither did 😅 I enjoyed your videos a lot! ❤
If you could remake the I35 West / I30 intersection from Fort Worth Texas, that would be a challenge!! But after remaking it, you should show how you’d improve it. That would make for a fun video
@@TeddyRadkodon’t forget to leave a little bit of room in between the two stations for the bypass tracks for cargo or high speed trains. I am going to be trying this out myself in about 2 weeks…
Very inspiring what you can do with a limited "palette." Once the embargo is lifted on the 19th, another episode with this city would be wonderful. I would think at launch you would want to start something from scratch. Who knows what bugs would be introduced trying to play a beta city in live version. I think you are building quicker in CS2 than 1 because you don't have any detailing tools "yet" so one isn't sweating over detailing every overpass, intersection, park, empty space, etc.
Oh youre so right, lack of detailing options does speed up things :) Still, cant shake the feeling that its also just more streamlined for building big. maybe its the small things like no need for pipes and powerlines, the smoother roadlaying tools, or the reduced reliance on having every service provided locally etc.
Watching all these videos I am truly excited to play Skylines 2! All these incredible changes are so exciting and they really are taking advantage of how far these Engines have come and just absolutely utilizing it in such an amazing way! Its hard for me to stop watching these videos especially yours Teddy so thank you for making this content! I really feel in-tune with your city making and concepts because of how similar I would build mine or much better knowledge and imagination so it helps with giving super awesome ideas when I finally do get my hands on this game LoL. Thanks again Bud!
Thanks Daniel! Youre too kind! :) glad i can inspire you and give you ideas. I feel ive showed the game best i can and now i eagerly waiting to see what all everybody else will build when game is properly launched!
Could you have made a cross of dirt roads in order to snap the statue to the centre of that roundabout? Great video - really brilliant and well built city. Great city videos are like contemplative art for me!
Hi Teddy, you should really get a 2K or 4K Monitor. This game feels so much better (I can only tell from the videos on UA-cam, though) with higher resolutions. The difference is astounding and I've never seen that on any other game. Watching this from a 21:9 2k screen it really feels low res and low detail, especially in top-down view.
I fear a larger resolution would take more of my system resources and indirectly require a full hardware upgrade. Eventually i probably will do that but im fine waiting for now. Getting the most out of my old setup is my plan. If i had unlimited funds maybe id do it sooner. Its a good point and its not lost on me tho.
This is a spectacular build! Well played. The game's performance is a shame, though I'm guessing you ran it at max quality when recording (forgive me if I missed you mentioning it). Guess we'll see how it goes .-.
I would pay for CSII even if the only one improvement were the new road tools, its so well made as far as I seen it and totally worth it. Everything else for me is a plus.
Hello :3 I would like to know if your current configuration of your PC allows good fluidity despite the size of the city? I have equivalent hardware but I wonder if there is a size to respect to guarantee a pleasant gaming experience.
Wow your good at building cities and infrastructure. I played around with CS1 but found it all a bit daunting and therefore boring. But I think I am really gonna try again with CS2 when it comes out. Co's I think it's something I want to get into but have a lack of attention or small attention span. get bored easily. But it looks like it might be worth it in the end.

Grymt bra stad!
You can add lights to a highway, and the cables will be added automatically. No need to pass them manually.
lights to highways are a thing you can add but but im not sure what you mean about lines. Underground power lines are included in most streets but you can also add extra lines (underground and overground wires).
This game is going to be epic! Looking forward to the mods and assets that will be possible. With over 3000 hrs on CS1 I can see the potential.
Man.... Can see you really put lots of efforts in it. Good one!
Thanks for building on a map that's different than what every other creator chose lol
Looks great!
Thsnks Tobby! Yeah i remember! Spent at least a hundred hours on that airport. This one was done in 30minutes at most 😅
This city is amazing! The only critique i have is the distance between metro stations, they are waaay too close together
Interchange idea for you: The Marquette Interchange in Milwaukee, WI.
If you could remake the I35 West / I30 intersection from Fort Worth Texas, that would be a challenge!! But after remaking it, you should show how you’d improve it. That would make for a fun video
Please continue this city, it´s really beatiful. And also, Lakeland Metro is the best name:)
tip: you could use 2 fully upgraded trainstations side by side (rotated 180 deg) to make some sort of central station
This here is genious! Same style as the airport. Cant believe i did think of that. With some luck we may even be able to align the walkways!
@@TeddyRadkodon’t forget to leave a little bit of room in between the two stations for the bypass tracks for cargo or high speed trains. I am going to be trying this out myself in about 2 weeks…
hey your really good at this game! thank you for all the knowledge!!
could you do a tutorial on traffic control for cities? that seems to be my biggest issue
Enjoyed this video. I really hope that Paradox works on making a ski resort type DLC in the future.
That would be amazing
Absolutely beautiful city Teddy. Looking forward to making something like that on CS2 next week
I think with CS2, building interchanges looks so much easier and it may encourage me to not always use pre made ones like I did in CS1
Stack interchange, turbine, and double diamond are my favs
What is difference between diamond and double diamond? 🤔
Looking really good. Both the game and the work you're putting into the building and cinematics. GJ.
I am naming my first city Tsunamiville. Waves in this game are just ridiulous XD
Fwiw i think its just the visual look/textures. Water level is much more static than in cs1.
Try to recreate the Louisville 64/65/71 interchange. Or the Los Angeles 110/105 interchange.
For the metro, the Lakeland Underwater (or maybe the LLTA Underwater?)
Could you have made a cross of dirt roads in order to snap the statue to the centre of that roundabout? Great video - really brilliant and well built city. Great city videos are like contemplative art for me!
Thanks! :) yeah i beleive you could have done it that way also. Removing snapping seemed easier at the time tho.
On the topic of interchanges: Would love to see you recreate the "Sonnborner Kreuz" in Wuppertal
The cinematics in this game looks absolutely crazy. Cool as hell.
This is a spectacular build! Well played.
The game's performance is a shame, though I'm guessing you ran it at max quality when recording (forgive me if I missed you mentioning it). Guess we'll see how it goes .-.
Awesome. I can't wait to play it. Will be possible to share cities like cities 1?
Im pretty sure yes. If not via pdx mods then definitively via google drive lol
Prettiest city in CS2 so far. Love the video mate, just earned another sub
🙏Thanks alot,much appreciated
I would pay for CSII even if the only one improvement were the new road tools, its so well made as far as I seen it and totally worth it. Everything else for me is a plus.
Amazing build teddy! Looking forward to the highway world tour series 😂
Very pretty and harmonious, looking forward to being able to do the same thing ^^
Hello :3
I would like to know if your current configuration of your PC allows good fluidity despite the size of the city? I have equivalent hardware but I wonder if there is a size to respect to guarantee a pleasant gaming experience.
That is dope
Very informational made me watch the whole video
Wow your good at building cities and infrastructure. I played around with CS1 but found it all a bit daunting and therefore boring. But I think I am really gonna try again with CS2 when it comes out. Co's I think it's something I want to get into but have a lack of attention or small attention span. get bored easily. But it looks like it might be worth it in the end.
That road offset trick is awesome
It is so good. All parts of it. Nerds will appreciate it big time! 🤤
The airport and interchange is absolutely amazing 👏
The skyline is so nice I love it
