Thanks for this amazing video, really enjoyed the first episode and I'm eager to now finishing the second. So here's my question: is there any hope that they will remove the random farm buildings spawning in farm land? Or asked differently, do they ask content creators for feedback like that at allot is it more a marketing thing (which would be understandable as well). Hope not scratching any NDA with this. Thx & Best from Germany
Hi @@Lenniitsch! I am not aware of any upcoming changes to the random farm buildings - but they do listen to our feedback and actively encourage it. But tbh I am not sure if anyone has pointed that out as an issue. I myself haven't had that as a concern at least ☺
Excellent video and also want to say how superb your cities are, I've recently discovered the channel and have subscribed because I love how realistic your city builds are. Which brings me to my question nicely, for someone new to Cities, do you think its better now to wait for Cities 2 as some things are easier to do in CS2, or do you think that CS1 is still , currently, the better product because of the wealth of mods and assets available. I imagine many of those will be available for CS2 in time but is CS2 currently very limited in comparison with CS1?
"Created a big, low-density single-family neighborhood up here called Northside. 205 single-family houses and extremely car dependent. We've got no public transport out here, there's not even sidewalks on many of the streets. So yeah, 'Murica baby." Wow, this may just be the most realistic recreation of a North American city ever.
Beta and you’re already taking so much out of it, incredible! This last cinematics turned out amazing. Few are pulling up the quality you have in this early stage, imagine what’s in store after you work with some mods. Keep it up man
This video is the one that finally convinced me that yes, the game looks very, very good. Even the official stream from CO had me feel like it was all grey and boring but after seeing this, I feel so much better.
Unfortunately, I'm still not convinced. The more I see of CS2, the more I feel it's still going to need some good modding before it will look good. Right now, everything looks so generic and similar that everyone's cities look identical and boring. It's forcing me to hold off on expecting to buy it at release.
@@jpennin1 I've watched about 6 different 2 episode series from YT's, not one has looked the same, it has similar aspects as in he main buildings such as town hall etc but the designs and ideas are practically and individual thought process... @@jpennin1 I mean yea the textures need more fine tuning but that's a pretty minor issue. Maybe mods with more texture packs would help but the base game is already much better than what's currently in the market. Also, nobody's saying CS2 is better at every aspect than CS1 :D
You're the type of guy who makes me question whether I have any sense of creativity at all. Your city is a giant castle compared to my dirt block house and I both hate and admire you for it.
It was interesting that Madison Creek area was obliterated for the railway station, reflects what happened in a lot of towns in the 1800’s, in Glasgow there was a wee village called Grahamston which went the way of Madison Creek for Glasgow Central Station!
We called that urban renewal here in the States. In my former hometown of the Twin Cities, the Rondo neighborhood, one of the most vibrant African-American neighborhoods in St. Paul was demolished entirely to make room for an interstate highway 🛣
I almost watched every early access gameplay videos (English and German) and riverview is by far the best looking city I’ve seen! So much details and a lot of inspiration for my own city. Thank you!
"there are no sidewalks on the street, so yeah, America Baby" And that's why we love this channel so much. It's amazing to see your journey, and for the love of god: don't stop making these videos :D
I genuinely think the development points are an amazing system. I always used to get super overwhelmed by Cities Skylines and everything that got unlocked. which usually led to me rushing stuff and getting even more overwhelmed. The development points system is a nice way to force someone like me to think through what to go for next. Which will hopefully lead to me taking my time more and going slow.
Yes I was a bit worried after this newest round. You seem to need vast low density areas. But it is a bit more realistic and also makes you densify the zones as time goes on or land value goes up. If it works like that I'll be very happy.
I’ve watched a lot of CS2 videos and yours are the best ones by far. I’m so hyped for this game, it’s incredible what you can do without mods. Already using your videos as inspiration for my first C2 city 🙂 Ps: your voice and accent reminds me of Giorgio Moroder which is awesome to picture him playing lol
Love everything so far! I like the grid size variation but I have one polite critique, which is to not do the same with mixed housing. Since they're wall-to-wall (not sure if some aren't), you might be missing out on making some nice solid blocks of buildings, but maybe that is your preference!
The scales feel much larger in this game. Like suburbs feel like they spread more, downtown feels smaller by comparison. I think it makes the city feel bigger.
This is the best cities skylines 2 city I have seen yet (by looks, functionality, design) and I’ve watched a ton of other ppl’s videos! Bravo! Truly capturing that NA vibe
Wow, I just realized that they must have fixed all the lights being on in the buildings during the day as I don't see them in this video! Glad to see that fixed! 😀
so weird I only discovered your channel now that CSII is out :D love your work! seeing you play I have to say I am a little disappointed with the lack of some simple features like zoning control, tree line tool and access to props... hope they're on their way, cant wait to play myself.
Great episode again 👍 its again really nice that you have a feeling for density and height in your city and dont swing the high rise brush and make some concrete hell. The street and rail building looks really smooth, easy and good the last epsiode already selled me to preorder. Cant wait to see what the further (specialized) industry zones will looke like and i´m really exited for the game.
Found your channel thanks to the CS 2 content. I really like the format with substantiated explanation and time lapses. But it needs to be said, the way you use districts and the way the it al looks, is just so realistic and amazing! Subbed because all of that.
omg, the music selection in this video gives such a nostalgic 2015 vibe and it's awesome. This type of music is very suitable for city building. I had a lot of fun watching this movie, mainly because of the music.
I just can't get over how easily accessible really good looking street layouts are becoming that were previously walled behind various mods, jankiness and more time investment. The process looks a lot more effortless which is the kind of qol improvement that is often more important than new features.
Hi! I don't make any comments on performance/FPS during the video. It it still very much a beta build us creators have access to, even with obvious bugs (such as nighttime looking completely out of whack), so personally, I will judge performance when I have the final thing in my hands ☺ If you have doubts on how it will perform on your machine, I suggest waiting for some reviews to roll-in on the final game before you decide on anything 😀
I really like the way you build! It’s very inspiring, the way you pay attention to have different buildings everywhere. Your city looks vibrant and alive, I really like it and I think I will keep your ideas in mind when I’ll be able to play myself 🥰 Thank you for sharing!
i wish there was a option for a parking spot with trees betwen the parking spots (by the hood or back of the cars) I have seen a lot of parkings like this in commercial zones with big parkings and they are great, sometimes it feels like a forest
Your city looks awesome, found your content while watching probably through all CS2 creators vids and liking yours the most. Looking foward to the next episode.

Hey, man. Nice city. The only problem is that I ordered a lovely cheese pizza to enjoy whilst watching this episode. Unfortunately for me, the delivery person found one of the bear traps instead. 😑

How is the performance compared to CS1 so far? From the recording the frames seem to be really low.
How are the tiny details so far, like when a road is bad quality do you see it?

Luckily my neighborhood in the USA was made before the 80s so I actually have sidewalks
