Another entry to my Best Playthrough series, i really did enjoy replaying the game after such a long time, and i gotta say, it proved to be much more challenging than TPP.

Snake is the kind of guy who would never take an executive position, he just loves the work too much
Ironic... big boss
It's because he's the only one who can complete that kind of missions.
Outer Heaven??
Zanzibar Land?? Pal you are so wrong lol
My man took up an executive position for like 40 years after this - All the way between this game and MGS4.
Fun fact: snake fires more assault rifle rounds in one cutscenes than I do in phantom pain
Ever since MGS2 gave the option of tranquilizing I just feel so awful/wrong killing guards and I’m not sure why.
Even when I try to go assault I don't waste so much ammo 🤣
@@3headedsnake388 true gamers shall only tranq enemies, killing is not nice.
until you get rubber assault rifles, then you can shoot anyone you want
You gonna to extract him?
@@daiyadoggo really? I love knifeing everyone, even if I know it's a bad thing
4:20 Prisoners are floating out of nowhere. Yep it's indeed 420.
But great job on the video though. Made want to play Ground Zeroes again. Wonder what's next. Hope Survive's attempt at a single player story will be entertaining enough for such a video
Thanks, well, i'll see what i can do with survive when it comes out.
@@GeorgeSalonikh Are you going to make one of these for 1 and 2?
What the hell is that!?!
*WTH IS THAT*
That mission with Kojima. It was like Snake was extracting Kojima from Konami after Kojima left them.
Why is that so true?
@@supersayinalvin456 because in GZ there's also a mission in which you delete all the MGS that were directed by Kojima.
@VicenteIDontKnow not really, he didn't need to. The whole kojima/konami problem was ongoing during production of GZ nd everyone knew what was happening. He just likes to whine and put his personal problems in his work making shit take even longer than it normally does even with his usual bullshit delays. Like how when he was kicked out and let go instead of working on an idea for a new game and coming up with an actual plot or even just a basic idea he decided to make a short story about his butthurt over konami taking away his "baby" and destroying his "world" which was what we got with the "trailer" for death stranding back when he had no idea at all whatsoever what the game was going to be. He just had assetts from Silent Hills to use and crybaby teenage angst, inflated ego, and an entitled, better than everyone else/I'm like a god because the world(MGS fans) loves and worships me, misplaced attitude.
Timothy Rodowicz konami became a gambling racket and refuses to release their i.p.'s to other game companies so they killed more than mgs.
castlevania.
contra.
fuck them.
kojima did what he was supposed to do, blast them publicly.
I like to imagine the camp as Konami's offices, and the "employees" are actually locked in those cages
"Paz, Paz, Paz, Paz, Paz, Paz, Paz, Paz, Paz, Paz, Paz, BITCH!" boy... That escalated quickly.
that pussy threw boss into a nine year coma-some bleb
Yes im real human uh, no, in the true ending you’ll see that she didn’t have 2 bombs and that it was the other heli crashing that put them into the coma.
@@michaelzhang9806 Do we even know for sure that was what really happened or a head cannon Kojima made to make both true?
Bell while it’s possible that both could be true, we get shown that it was the helicopter crashing.
In the end it literally doesn’t change a single thing.
With youtubes new translation system, the word "Paz" was just replaced with Peace, but it kept the, "BITCH!"
that was a little amusing to me.
You know a game is great when watching a playthrough doesn't make you go "Oh so that's how it's done." but instead "Oh, I'll use that next time!"
Managed to make the motherbase attack even more cool. That CP call really was a nice touch too
Thanks a lot!
Goddamn dude, this video is a perfect summary of your channel as a whole. Your sense of humor matches perfectly with whats going on onscreen, and i love the little dialogue you add in-between the codex lines.
TLDR: Amazing work boss, they'll be telling stories about this one.
Thanks a lot man!
11:41I thought we'd never hear that sound effect from you again!
Triple Star Plush The Plushanaitor I was hoping more for the Consecutive CQC
11:18
*Mfw i see a highly skilled soldier with S on R&D and A++ on Support.*
IT'S FULTON TIME
Pause at 11:18 are we going to ignore that work of art?
Yes. Why would anyone bother with it when there's like an hour of content to talk about. One stretched out image is kinda stupid to focus on.
"Kept u waiting, huh?"
"Boss get back to the mission"
I like that little edit to put Survive in there after Boss flew off from Mother Base.
The all fireteams prepare for combat sounds pretty neat actually at 9:37
13:33 I was expecting a "What a thriiiiill"
13:31
I wish they made this the full length game...I thought it felt more like metal gear solid than TPP did. The pacing, the cqc, the dive. Metal gear was about being thrown into a situation with little gear and doing finding things in the environment...right. I like how it starts with you scaling a wall but you can exit the same area with a helicopter haha they should have just started the game right there and continued.
Jup
This is the winning argument Hector. can't beat the box.
Well said. For me, OKB zero was the only thing in TPP that felt like classic MGS. In general the game felt too wide open and easy. If GZ can be considered a single mission contained within MGSV, it has definitely been my most played.
Tpp shouldve been more like GZ
TPP just had so much wrong with it that it undermined the good parts that were allowed to shine in GZ. They were clearly trying to capture the spirit of the first game with the various bases present throughout the areas, but the level design of these just wasn't sufficient to really open players up to infiltrating them in imaginative ways. The inclusion of things like the power generators/radar stations/radio rooms were a well intentioned attempt to spice up areas but they were ultimately passed over by players because they were always more of a hindrance to sneaking than they were a help. Radar stations in particular were a problem as you were forced to employ explosives and alert the garrison to eliminate them, while there was rarely a time you'd really want to deploy the helicopter for anything other than a lark. The Fulton system was another thing that trivialised a lot of the gameplay; there were no repercussions for eliminating guards, you simply fulton them and they're out of the mix.
Goofy yelling sound effect when you knocked dude off the cliff was the best thing ever
ground zeroes really gives you the feels
Morpho... :'(
10:26 he said it boys, back to our bussines
YEA I DID

Snake/George: What the hell is that !!!
Me: new bug discovered !
Ryujinn. What do you mean?
@@ryujinnchair Because it was put in there 😐
Reminder
Still play this and regularly more than phantom pain. I like it cos it reminds alot of the shadow moses setting.
I honestly think ground Zeros is better gameplay and mechanical wise. I like that you have the missions that you can just play over and over and if you get better ranks you unlock weapons and shit. In tpp you have to unlock all this shit and build the fucking base also you get the on-line fob stuff that is stupid. Everything in tpp is in the terrain of Afghanistan and Africa you don't have the opportunity to move in a giant built complex like in ground Zeros or Andy other mgs game tbh.
Knowing what the previous games were like, this open plan had me crawling about in game and yelling when anything moved. Sweaty palms game
10:08 that fits so perfectly
I'm not really sure why, but I prefer this kind of map than the free world they gave us in Phantom Pain...
MGS1: SNAAAAAAAKE!
MGS2: SHALASHASKA!
MGS3: MEOW!
MGS4: LIQUIIIIIIIIID!
MGSV: MILLEEEEEEEEER!
i think mgs3 should be SOKOLOV instead
I know that this comment is a year old, but...
Here's a fun fact for ya, Snake yelling 'Miller!' in this video is actually Sgt. Roebuck yelling at the player character in Call of Duty: World at War.
4:00 when your brother says *IM TELLIN MOM!*
27:20 It is understandable why Raiden did not use his sword. "I would do the same".
We are not talking about an army of machines and metal gear's nearby. They are ordinary people and soldiers. Either gut them or cut them off, it is not worth using such power for that normal level for Raiden. So it makes sense the environment and the place like that.
I always thought that scene where they return to base would have made a great gameplay section showing off the less sneaky parts of TPP, but we just got a neat cutscene.
Oh well, good work, Boss.
"Boss, sidhjsdhlakhkasjd (fast motion)"
-Miller
Big Boss: the legendary soldier who’s saved the entire world multiple times by being a total badass
Miller: questions every single thing he does and treats him like a 5 year old...
The sound of the Uragan smacking people is so fucking satisfying. Thank you big boss
You're welcome!
Holy shit, this was amazing. Thank you for all the work you put in to these videos.
Great editing as always!
Thanks a lot!
Another very great and enjoyable video. Was nice to watch especially with the humour you edit in.
Thanks a lot!
- What happened ?!
- Nothing.
10/10
11:13 Best part.
Awesome work George! Super good, and entertaining. 😁
Excellent editing, and playthrough
*_NOW_*_ IT'S CHRISTMAS_
Excellent vid, thanks :)) Good souvenirs with GZ. You played it perfectly and that was funny too.
Thanks a lot man!
Snake Screaming while silencing Chico made me lose it
I was skeptical at first due to the over promising title but this is truly brilliant. Congrats
14:37 u shot them like a dam fiddle
At fiddle I lost all ability to control my laughter then I thought nothing could top that then I saw Snake with two eyepatches after that the Pope said fuck being a catholic my religion is GS videos.
Edited this comment after 5 years, OCD made me fix my grammar and sadly it cost me my heart.
YES YES! ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Thank you George so much!
Thanks & you're welcome!
This was a better explanation of the timeline than the actual timeline
Called it.
Also quite a step up from the TPP one. Well done, even if it is only 30 minutes.
Thanks, it sure was fun to put together.
As always with metal gear solid games. There's a mini mission before the main game starts. MGS2 had the tanker mission before starting the big shell. MGS3 has the virtuous mission before going onto Operation: Snake Eater. And now we have ground zeroes before going onto the phantom pain.
I'm not sure mgs4 has one because the game is split into 5 chapters and I haven't played the original mgs in a long time and don't think they had a mini mission before starting shadow moses.
Damn. Great work, keep it like that!
Thanks a lot man!
It's a pleasure to watch you, Boss.
I mean, Sir, of course.
I gotta admit. You're my inspiration. Your skill is very remarkable. I need to learn a things from you a lot.
My favorite video of all time
Hour of gameplay
Somehow has the best music of the series
Your videos are equally impressive, hilarious and a learning experience. I love it!
The Way of The Boss. I got the impression that GZ is prettier than TPP. Anyway Great Walkthrough to be honest.
Thanks a lot man!
This is amazing
This really was the best Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes video on UA-cam
This is literally how I imagine big boss to tackle his missions
Loved it bro keep it up brother
Thanks man!
Do MGS3
Yes.
Do it.
it's done
Teo Vinokur yes
Enod
Lmao
As he moves in the beginning, Big Boss is now the Flash
Also, Night Vision Goggles being used in the day? Kojima, Kojima, Kojima...
14:46 Kojima's escape from Konami headquarters (Colorized).
What Im doing here in the midnight?
Names Dodolso To have George breathe new life into Ground Demos!
4:20 AM here, what am i doing with my life?
Pequad's voice is more passionate. I don't think that Marco or Morco guy wants to be a pilot anymore
Morpho
Morphos voice is just pequots toned down
10:22 theeeeeey plaaaaaayed uuuuuus liiiiiiike aaaaaa daaaammmmn *fiddle*
Floating prisoners? “What the hell is that?”
This is a hidden gem on the TUBES
Good job Boss, played 'em like a damn fiddle.
at first i tought the title is cocky. It isnt however.
Turns out its pretty legit.Nice playtrough! Legendary edits
As much as I love TPP, it needs more elaborate/indoors areas
OKB Zero was the only place that really felt like something that was from a MGS game. Maybe iss just me thats too used to closed areas in mgs games
TPP needed a few tweaks.
Needed more patrols (people on foot, trucks, tanks). We had a big map with nothing to fill it; bases should've been able to call for reinforcements - capturing bases shouldn't have really been an option if an alert was sent. We're taking on the Soviet army but they're only holding Afghanistan with like 50 people
I love this mission
5:38 17:31 my favorite moments
what's that planet exploding clip from anyway? oh! iv'e just noticed all the revamped thumbnails for the best playthrough videos , they're gorgeous!!
Ah, just some template that i downloaded from those resource channels, and thanks.
Must be called exploding earth or something.
i really like your varied usage of metal gear music , specially when it differs from game , using any music of any game for every video is nice.
it never has to coincide with which music from which game.
but i think you would really like to use Portable Ops music , some of HGW's best , maybe put some in the mgs4 longplay
I'll see what i can do, thanks, i'm actually right about to start editing that stuff up.
good luck.
and drink plenty of water , Miller always used to say dehydrated kidneys could jeopardize the mission
hey! , check out these dynamic edits of Hitman

reminds me of one of your realism mod videos where Boss sees a wild dog and goes "animals..." then before shooting then: "i'm sorry" all unused dialogue that added to the game when edited in
1:28
> *He's on the floor*
>"Hands up"
>"Get down"
Nice.
You can pick up the extra prisoner before grabbing Chico, eliminated the time pressure of his execution? I learned something from this. Thank you!
MR KOJIMA
Tranq Pistol V: Ground ZZZ
I like how your line inserts of Kiefer Sutherland didn’t seem too out of place.
I won't lie, I'm watching this so I can use your own strats against you if I ever get an opportunity to race you on this one while you're streaming. Your vehicle tactics are top notch! My main weak point is that action mission w/the chopper. I still haven't got a decent grasp on it yet. There is just something about using the Uragan that isn't clicking in my brain. Other than that, I think I'll be able to get a really good flow going on the rest of the missions individually. The real problem is stringing them all together, I guess. By the way, that was a particularly stellar takedown around the 20:27 mark. I guess that's why I was drawn to you, some of your play styles remind me of my own in some ways. :D
И снова привет из России :)
10:23 WHOOOOO?!
I gotta say, using Roebuck's lines from WaW was genius
FINALLY LOVE YOU
3:57 my best part. That scream lmao...
Ground Zeroes plays a little different then you remember playing though huh?
You can tell that when a person tries to do the continuous dolphin dive thing in GZ.
I could live my life not being reminded of bigger boss
Your Playthrough make me laugh so hard.
Haha, thanks!
Nice bubble machine snake
I just realized that Paz would've been 60 years old if she were still alive, and also not a few lines of code
you’re pretty goooood :)
Thanks!
Yo its a great Mini Metal Gear Demo
Nice editing
Thanks!
Good job, bro.
GS the GREEK GOD just dropped his mixtape!!! This is one of the best you've ever done Sir!!! Your editing is the FUCKING BEST ON UA-cam!!!!!!!! MERRY FUCKING CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!
Thanks & Merry Christmas!

Tactical Demo Action
Does anyone else wonder why Snake didn't have fultons in this game, he had them in peace walker
Weather's too bad to use a balloon, I guess.
Resyk 2000 he was able to use them indoors in peace walker
+Ssnashur Haha, yeah. He could even use it in that underground base. Well, i dunno. Maybe they forgot to restock the fulton balloons.
At least you can't whine about not being able to play the original Snake
Luke Liberman when you realize that GZ is all just the memories of big boss being replayed while he and the medic are in a coma and your are still actually playing the medic >_
OMG please tell me that's cannon XD
Luke Liberman it is if you believeeee :D
MAD Skittles it's not. the cassette tapes for paz are different in tpp they we're how the medic saw paz, while the ones in gz we're the real ones
And what do you think the side ops in Ground Zeros are? A simulation like in MGS 1. Medic just gets the simulation of ground zeros incident and some training still in the camp in Cuba
Very fast reptile moving at incredible speed
