Seth Wingate Bluetooth earbuds are just not the same. They are way less convenient and much more expensive if you want a good set. Not to mention you have to remember to charge them and you need to have Bluetooth turned on on your phone which kills the battery faster.

I’ve personally watched his video couple hours ago and I was very impressed how he managed to face all the trouble and not giving up. I’ve subscribed to his channel for a while and he’s a really tough guy when it comes to goals he wants to achieve. But I wouldn’t do it to my phone lol because in the history I’ve just never used headphone jacks since 2015 because all the Bluetooth stuff. I’m so used to Bluetooth that I don’t even have a wired headphone in my possession.
I dislike that Apple is trying to be as thin as possible. People liked android because of their size, their customizability, etc. They(Androids) are still thicker than an iPhone 8.
Apple eliminating the headphone jack was a huge mistake, It really pisses me off I have to use the stupid headphone adapter which I lost btw and the unreliable Bluetooth which you have to keep charged for them to work, not to mention the waste of money the AirPods really are. My favorite earphones are wired and utilize the headphone jack, this guy is a legend and I would gladly pay him to put the headphone jack back on my iPhone 7 Plus.
I haven’t used my headphone jack in a long time. I disagree that BT is unreliable, a 30 dollar pair are quite good. I have 2 pair that I use all day, one charges while I’m using the other. Of course they need to be charged, your phone needs to be charged to work too. The battery in earbuds though is so small that they charge very quick and then last a long time.

Sriram Sarathy considering Apple is not the only one that removed the Aux jack, what is there to or not defend here? Even Google removed it from their flagship Pixel phones. HTC has as well. Samsung only still has it so they can milk their base. Reality is, most people want wireless headphones anyway. Now I myself use the aux jack at night for white noise due to my sleeping disorder but I have to find a solution for charging it while I'm using the lightning jack for audio. That is the only time I can see myself or others needing to have a charging solution while using headphones. We have to adapt to new tech to advance. We did the same when Apple switched from 30pin to Lightning. There are benefits but people chose to ignore them and immediately cry wolf on the whole thing.

Apple would only make money from things created and manufactured by Apple, such as Airpods, or items endorsed by Apple. In fact, the iPhone 7 comes with a Lightning to AUX adapter and a set of wire earphones that connect using the Lightning port as opposed to the AUX port. The phone comes packaged with these accessories, making it easier for people to continue using their old earphones to an extent (as they can't charge while the earphones are plugged), or their included wire earphones. And to debunk your statement; No third party manufacturers would produce earphones with the Lightning port. It's inefficient and would bankrupt a small company almost instantly. When people buy the iPhone 7, they're prepared to use Bluetooth earphones from that point onwards. Most, if not all iPhone 7 owners use Bluetooth earphones, and that's what the market is selling. It's the logical choice. Why pay Apple fees to use the patented Lightning cable, when you could just use the wireless Bluetooth technology of the future?

I think if the battery inside the IPhone 8 (L shaped ) was replaced with a regular one there will be probably more space but smaller battery life ( replacing the L battery with a I one ) I just wanted to share this with you so you can test it! I have an easier solution all you have to do is buy the iPhone 6 and then buy the iPhone 7 aluminum back housing and take apart the iPhone 6 and put the iphone 7 back housing on put the phone back together and drill a hole in place of the headphone jack on your iphone 6/7 and you can do this for the iphone 8 because the iphone 6, 7, and 8 are the same exact size

That just increases wear on the lightning port. Everyone hates an adaptor, that's not a satisfactory solution. Apple got rid of it because they could make more money off royalties for the lightning port. This guy showed Apple that the reason for removing the headphone jack (space) was utter bs. And it's not as if having a headphone jack stops anyone using bluetooth.

Nathan DaCosta People who manufacture earphones and such aren't affiliated with Apple whatsoever. Apple would only make money from things created and manufactured by Apple, such as Airpods, or items endorsed by Apple.
In fact, the iPhone 7 comes with a Lightning to AUX adapter and a set of wire earphones that connect using the Lightning port as opposed to the AUX port. The phone comes packaged with these accessories, making it easier for people to continue using their old earphones to an extent (as they can't charge while the earphones are plugged), or their included wire earphones.
And to debunk your statement; No third party manufacturers would produce earphones with the Lightning port. It's inefficient and would bankrupt a small company almost instantly. When people buy the iPhone 7, they're prepared to use Bluetooth earphones from that point onwards. Most, if not all iPhone 7 owners use Bluetooth earphones, and that's what the market is selling. It's the logical choice. Why pay Apple fees to use the patented Lightning cable, when you could just use the wireless Bluetooth technology of the future?

There "courage" to remove the headphone jack was most likely to promote the AirPods and just to let you know before you say that's not enough, beats is also partnered with apple....and they just so happen to release a new line of wireless headphones/earbuds. So yeah "it's the logical choice" if by logical you meant best way to sell apple products.
I think if the battery inside the IPhone 8 (L shaped ) was replaced with a regular one there will be probably more space but smaller battery life ( replacing the L battery with a I one ) I just wanted to share this with you so you can test it! I have an easier solution all you have to do is buy the iPhone 6 and then buy the iPhone 7 aluminum back housing and take apart the iPhone 6 and put the iphone 7 back housing on put the phone back together and drill a hole in place of the headphone jack on your iphone 6/7 and you can do this for the iphone 8 because the iphone 6, 7, and 8 are the same exact size

Kian M.Tamar No. The real reason is because their "lighting port" is proprietary. They invented it. Which means that any product that uses the lighting port has to pay royalties to Apple. The headphone jack WAS NOT invented by Apple, which means they dont get any royalties for anything that uses it. Meaning they removed it because it gives them more money. That's all. That's the reason. MONEY.
