This is the video I was waiting for. I have a six-figure office job right now, but spend most of my time off in nature (camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, etc). I am fully willing to to sacrifice my six-figure office job just for an opportunity to relocate to my dream state with a decent job. Thank you for these resources and tips.

Have a interview Monday for a job in Ketchikan. I hope I get it. I would love to live off road where you need to fly or boat to get in. It has relocation assistance so I am hoping I get the job.

thank you for posting this. I currently do quality control for a chemical company and have a Captains license and charter boat on Lake Michigan for salmon. I also worked in the ND oilfield for 3 years. I think I have some good bases covered for finding employment up there. After visiting AK last year I have been contemplating taking the leap but am on the fence.

It’s not just employment, but also the cost of moving. It’s quite overwhelming. And white collar jobs are definitely hard to come by. I see very few positions open on indeed. I haven’t given up my dream, I just know I have to save a lot to make it happen.

That's definitely the truth. Have you tied talking with people on LinkedIn?

I know I have job skills for the Fairbanks and Anchorage area. Fairbanks extreme cold, Anchorage is a large city, more people, higher cost of living. I am more interested in the Kenai, Soldotna, Homer, Anchor Point area. Small towns, less people, but unfortunately less job opportunities. What is the best source of information for jobs in the Kenai, Homer, Saldotna area?

Howdy Robert from texas, so i have my own house on Wheels taken it all over the us and made adjustments over time for weather and living, off-the-grid is my specialty. well it time for me to stop moving and set my trailer out for good, I love the cold Montana weather but i would love to live somewhere more isolated remote and overall start chilling out i would love to move to Alaska but before i get there i want to again tear my house down and get it ready for Alaskan weather can you give any advice on how to prep my house for the wether up there structural supports installation ideas thing to have ive see almose all your videos which has helped me a lot, as a prepper I know you can't prep for everything but any ideas would be helpful to get my house ready

That sounds like a lot of freedom to be able to do that. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there would be structural differences. I imagine the insolation has to be a whole new level.

Is it hard to move there from the UK? Can you just up sticks and move or do you need a job organised beforehand?

I'm a single professional seamstress I have my own shop. Specialist in bridal and formal wear.
Would there be a need for my services there. Who can I talk too about my options in setting shop in Alaska

Hmmm, you know I'm a little out of the loop on all things bridal seamstress, but you would likely end up working in Anchorage or something in the MatSu because southcentral is where most of the people in the state lives. Have you checked out the bridal shops in the area to get a feel for the business? I guess one telling metric would be the number of weddings happening in AK, if you can find that in your research.
