All the trades, as mentioned. You could open a shop that just did oil changes and tire swaps and you'd be busy most of if not all year. Law Enforcement! Police departments, troopers, and DOC are ALWAYS hiring. And then there's the two closest mines: Ft. Knox (Kinross) and Pogo. Retail and fast food also hiring everyday. Plenty of jobs for anyone willing to work.

I just graduated an apprenticeship from a Local Steamfitters Union with certifications in stick and carbon steel tig welding. Are any of your unions looking for welders?
