8:11 this is actually an inefficient way of doing things, what you actually wanna do is go into Steam Settings - > Compatibility -> Click "Enable Steam Play for all other titles", and it just automatically does this for every game in your library.
The trade off is it forces it to override all Linux-native games to their windows version, and whilst you can restore it using the compatability override of "Steam runtime 1/2/3" it isn't as effective as just using your system. I will say every game I looked up so far runs well on Linux. IF you can figure it out.
@@doublecrossedswine112 the main issue is linux deosnt support that much hardware
@@mythicalbeast8737 Yeah I gave up on it a few days ago. It got old quick having to jump through hoops just to do basic things. Anyway, my graphic glitch on windows was the monitor and I was able to get it too go away by setting it to 120hz from 144hz. So wasn't even windows fault, I just thought it was.
@@doublecrossedswine112 yeah I tried linux too and it was a nightmare for me
10 hours later...
wow
Yes-yes, and again yes. I already know about it, thanks, but my PC is so shit for playing CS2 on Linux natively... 💔
wowza
jsut got mint on the ole hp
Linux is awesome, I hated it at first but now it's all working and its perfect
I don't really understand why you avoided the software manager and went straight to the terminal. Is there a good reason, or is it done just to make your video look **cool**?
He explained it. It's easy to click a button, the point of the channel is to learn, so he taught how to use the terminal as well.
wow. the language tho. won't be coming back.
So sad that Roblox doesn't work on linux 😕.
You can always dual-boot with a small windows 10 partition to get access to it again, or they might support Linux through Wine, but that may be deprecated now.
Roblox did run in wine, but their new anticheat blocks it. You can still run it using Waydroid but then you can only play games available on mobile.
Roblox is also a big barrier for me switching, it's very hard to quit games like Tales from the Valley and Deepwoken (to a level)
@@average-arch-enjoyer use sober to play roblox
ima sub
Why must you bully windows XP lol
It's considered stealing because you having it is a lost sale. The next person getting it is a lost sale and so forth and so forth. I'm not against Piracy, just throwing out the logic that pirates don't seem to get why it's illegal. We are doing a criminal act and it's as simple as that. Thanks for the video man.
Or you could just install Windows
Not as good as linux. Only more specalised
I think bottles is better then lutris
I had to mute the audio and turn on subtitles instead because I did not come here to hear profanity, I came here to see a tutorial on how to play windows games on Linux.
hey, as long as you were informed!
HoloOS :3
now play games like fornite or rainbow 6
not Linux fault, it's cause of the anticheat
@@JSHlipgop not even that, at least in Fortnite's case, Fortnite's anticheat has a Linux option but Epic refuses to allow their games to run on Linux in fact they actively block Linux users.
Those i'd rather play on the PS, since i want my gamer laptop to run games that can work without internet 24/7.
R6 doenstnt runn at all just like pubg and Vr is pain and dont say "just dont play it" its not an option to throw 500 bucks away
Nobody cares about VR and I even own a set
@@Notarget1337 I care about VR and I own a headset. It’s very fun!
I will switch to Linux after my internship project is over. I hate Microsoft. As a gamer, I play all kinds of games, including League of Legends. I think I will find a way. Ifcng hate Microsoft
@@bahtsz323 Your cooked lil bro lol doesnt work on linux because of vanguard
Sadly LoL uses vanguard anti cheat which is basically the only anti cheat that Linux users haven't found a way around (yet)
It's not stealing, it's just licencing fraud 😅😂
Step 1: Install Windows
Step 2: Success Wow, now you can play almost any game!
And you also have microsoft spying on you. No thanks
@@minion3806 I mean, you already own a Google account anyways.
Step 3: Contemplate life decisions
Step 4: deal with all the bloatware and having your memory half full for no reason
Well i guess im just unlucky, i can install steam but the app just cant launch. The windows is popping for like half a second then it crash and i cant do anything about it
