If they add the ability to play as a HellBot as well as have one with you when you play solo, the Illuminate that are going to be evil cackling their way thru that wormhole we accidentally created soon are going to be greeted by HellBots armed with just Senator revolvers, a bag full of very reflective coins, and a crusty Stephen Hawking voice synthesizer module set.

Considering vehicles are in the game but still not able to be used by the general public it’s probably safe to say this funny robot won’t make it into the game for at least a couple months
or years, give or take. they are slowing down updates after all
@@shoulderpyro They aren't slowing down how much content they make, they're just slowing down releases of warbonds so they can be higher quality. They're still going to be giving us new stratagems and such at a reasonable rate, no change there.
@@Gaelic-Spirit and given content comes mostly from the warbonds - at least so far - things are slowing down.
we get new stratagem offers about as frequently as the warbonds, though given the one they really seem to be wanting to give is the worthless mines its unlikely we'll actually see anything else until we take those things.
@shoulderpyro the mines are able to very easily kill factory striders, and they can kill other big bots too, but I see your points

What do you mean? I always remind my fellow Helldivers about the upcoming election when in a battle. Sounds quite treasonous to not remind your brethren about their rights. I forgot to add that it also helps with moral.

Yea it’s this, he’s talking about buying items and says lines when you purchase stuff on the ship. They talk about the modules and going to the democracy officer that is on the ship. It’s definitely a new crew mate.
I think it will be a vendor for gun parts/stratagem upgrades and sample conversion because it has a line for completing a purchase.

Tip 419: By the sound of it, Illuminate outposts will have huge bubble shields stopping Helldivers from either entering or firing from afar, forcing them into turf which is disadvantageous to them.
Tip 394: This sounds like it’ll bring the Illumination Flare we see in the Strategem Hero arcade game but can’t use yet. It also notes its given to the helldivers at no extra cost, so I think its likely that, if the mission node is taking place in a night area (blue moon icon in the mission select screen), the Illumination Flare will become a dotted strategem
Tip 194: What I think it means by “the enemies will become more aware of your presence” is that patrols spawn faster the longer the mission takes.
“Extract with intel to reveal an intel mission” Boys, i think this means we’ll be able to find enemy intel and unlock a hidden mission node for bonus goodies
Tip 223: I bet “Helldiver Specialization” is like a class system for your diver which makes your helldiver better at some things. Maybe like increase carry capacity or movement speed. Also “Rare Strategems” maybe schematics or something of rare strategems can be found in the aforementioned intel missions.
Tip 411: Pretty simple, but noteworthy. “When fighting an Illuminate, keep moving” this probably points at the ranged and melee style I’m seeing in the leaked models, move out of projectiles way and away from melee units.
Tip 329: Well that adds some more depth. So Helldiver Specialization has tiers. I’d assume that means (if i _am_ right about stat boosts and such) there are tiers for better, bigger stat boosts. It also says you unlock more items each tier so I’d guess those would be rare strategems or at the very least strategems unique to that skill tree.
As a veteran of the first galactic war, tips 419 and 411 are quite accurate for the Illuminate. There used to be mission objectives requiring Hellbombs to be destroyed, however they would have a powerful bubble shield around them that needed to be depleted. Any weapon will eventually take the shield down, but it will regenerate if you don’t get the Hellbomb armed in time. Thankfully you could destroy them with EATs, Recoilless Rifle or other AT options.
As for the keep moving part, very good tip. Illuminate have an even mix of deadly melee enemies and ranged enemies that have telegraphs you need to avoid.
There was a sniper unit that would point a laser at you that slowly charged up, they couldn’t adjust their aim while charging but if you didn’t get out of the way they would one shot you unless you have a shield generator pack. These guys showed up frequently enough that bringing turrets was just not feasible on Illuminate.
There are also Illuminate units that can shoot an orb that slowed you down like an EMS effect or that reversed your controls. It had travel time so you could dodge it, or even shoot them down with your primary.
The Illuminate are sort of this weird middle ground between the melee centric swarm of the Terminids with some of the ranged threat that the Automatons posed.

Okay so the Helldiver specialization and research point thing might be a separate progression system. Maybe something to do with character classes or skill trees from RPG games, given how specializations were mentioned. For example you spend your research points to get an engineer specialization and that increases turret damage, adds another turret exclusive stratagem slot or simply gives access to better turrets or fortifications. Pretty hype, I just hope it’s not too grindy and actually worth it

The cadence is fairly inline with what one would expect from a robot/AI, but unusual pronunciation of words is a giveaway of generated speech, and it's especially weird given that the word "helldivers" is one of, if not the most, integral to the game itself
