Lyrics:
I'd still do anything for you
I'll play your game
You hurt me through and through
But you can have your way
And I'd do anything for you
In spite of it all
I've learned so much from you
You made me strong
And I'd do anything for you
I'll give you up
If that's what I should do
To make you happy

Thank you Gloria ❤! Still listening in 2024. Your beautiful ballad brings me to tears.
You ain't got to tell me My wife looked just like her she passed away in 2019!! God bless her soul!!!

I'm still listening too in june 2024.From indonesia loves you GLORIA
Gloria canta muy bonito
I lived in North Miami Beach at the height of the Sound Machine's rise to the top. I cannot express to this beautiful woman how much joy she added to my life. Listen closely, in every song she sings about loving her man not trying to kill them like today.
😅😅
lol🤣 is this what it is like in today's love? women killing their men?
Yes, today they love to kill them.
That was a great time, she was so popular from 83-92,I lived in Fort Lauderdale and used to go to Miami every weekend!
@@GTAGoldSilver Some do, some don't. Some will, some won't. If you want a good woman, someone who cares, hide the weapons and say your prayers!
Pure 80`s magic by Gloria Estefan
Gloria Estefan was one of the best singers & songwriters from the 80s. She put out some great songs. This is one of my favorites from Gloria Estefan
My favoritesong of herstoo
My favorite actually
Hopefully some day this woman will receive her due. She should have received way more love flowers and recognition as a singer and artist than she has. Rock N Roll Hall of Fame where are you?
This kind of music should be restored in all the world 🌎🌍🌎🌍
The Miami Sound Machine had a big impact on The Music Industry!
"Don't you ever think that I don't love you" - Such beautiful words.
Couldn't agree more...
Wish they would bring this type of music back.
My dad was an addict, he got clean because i asked him to. After he fixed his life he fixed mine too. I lost him on 9/11 and this was our song. Who ever thought id be here in 2021 listening to this in the rain thinking of my hero. Miss you daddy. Thank you for your sacrifice. I miss you so much even though you cant read this comment, just know you are loved and missed 💜...
I also think so from Japan in 2023❤
You're dad
May your dad rest in peace. ❤️❤️❤️
Bless you God Is rest your daddy's Soul
❤❤❤
Amazing how a song can take you back 30 years ❤
Actually it's quite common to get bright back like tha.
We are just getting slower, but not by much.
I can relate because I was a little girl when she made this song.
Absolutely.....

❤yes!❤2025❤
My parents divorced when I was 5 . Sometime when I was in high school she told me when she hears this song, it reminds me of my father. I don’t remember ever seeing them speak . I now really understand the words. It’s too late to tell my dad because he passed in 2001. Every time I hear this some I feel like someone kicked me in the stomach ... I ball out and cry.
Thank you for this song , Gloria. ❤😢
Not right. Leave the kid alone with respect to music.
“Sometimes things don’t work out right and we just have to say goodbye” what a voice Gloria Estefan and The Miami Sound Machine💯‼️
I grew up in the 80,s! Gloria was one of the first latino crossover artists!
living in the 80s was magical..thank you for letting me be a part of this phenomenon..pure magic
🤟💜
Im 80s baby too. This is my favorite song of hers
This was easily her best look. She's stunning here.
The big hair. It's powerful on a woman
She makes me really want a perm now 😂
I FIRST FELL IN LOVE WITH HER VOICE WHEN I WAS 12 YEARS OLD. I AM NOW 46 AND SHE IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE FEMALE VOCALIST. AND THIS IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS FROM HER!!!❤❤❤
Same here Leticia. Exactly the same ages.
Same here. I heard this on the radio nearly every night as a 10 y.o. So full of heart & soul.
Her and Selena (la Reina tejana) hold a special place in many a latino/Hispanics heart for their music.
Hello Pretty SO Beautiful here theway in Life SO Nice
I Miss You
I Love You Forever live
You Are Looking SO Beautiful girl I Could FAll in Love AWAY
She is on a league of her own. Mesmerizing, voluminous hair, petite, passionate, emotions, smooth voice, gorgeous, she can act too. Her songs cover a wide range of emotions and styles, from upbeat and can get u off your feet like the conga, rhythm gonna get u , to love songs that take your heart and breath away like words get in the way, this song, and so many more, and and not even mentioning her Latin songs. So yea, she is on a league on her own.
I feel so sentimental. . I was a teenager back in the 80s where life was so simple. The music is music you can actually listen to and understand the words. Boy would I love to go back to this era
Same. I’d go back there in a moment
Yer
Absolutely life music. All seemed so good...phraps it wasn't but was in my prime of youth .
Life was happier.

Wow, what a great song, I used to hear this song back in ‘90-‘91. when I was dating my girlfriend in NYC that became my wife back in ‘92
Gloria Estefan is one of the most underrated artists in the 80's and 90's. Her music fits all phases of life.
Underrated?
@Lysa Rice, l never liked her music, neither many, many of my friends.
She was never underrated my dear.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SONG THIS IS. Produced by Emilio Estefan, Gloria's husband. he did a GREAT job.
God, I miss the 80's. what a decade to be a kid, teen.
How BEAUTIFUL is Gloria??
This song came out when I was 19...I still find it so stirring at 51 yrs old now...Love lost...Love that was never meant to last....How many of us can relate to this at least 1 time in their life...Bitter sweet experience...We all have that one special person that for whatever reason got away...
It will haunt you always
Time flies but this kind of music still remains.
100%
it feels so sad 🥺
My true love died...still heartbroken after 20 years
Growing up in the 80's, we had the best music. This song too. Gloria had a helluva run. Beautiful music. This song takes me back.
Dedicated to my son, Dr. Tzar Michael Walker. I was not always a good mother, but I grew up, and got wiser. Rough times have hit us so many times. God’s got our back. I love you young Sky Walker! #Forever 🙏🏾❤️
"Sometime things don't workout right and you just have to say GOODBYE" ❤
Gloria estefan is a icon for mee ,is 51 years old
3:00 this nostalgic sound of goodbye will make my eyes water for it's brilliance 🥲
This is one of the most beautiful love songs ever made. It just spells out heartbreak and love lost for so many people lives. Sometime we meet good people but their just not good for us.
@marswmn w waaa
So hearing you Nona .very true and well said
Is it so bad to hold on even when hope is gone
She’s got such an easy non strained, comforting voice truly a diva
At 64 years old I love her music.

Almost 67 and love her still
I was lucky enough to see Gloria E. and Miami Sound Machine live at the Greek Theater in LA. It was the 80's. Great show. Great music. The memories live on!
Once upon there was Gloria Estefan & the Miami Sound Machine...gone now but lives on thru UA-cam!

This woman has an incredible voice.
When you remember Gloria had a myriad of hits.
Gloria Estefan is an Angel ❤️
Hi Aruna,Hope you’re okay ?
I'm almost in tears; I forgot about this song. Beautiful music that needs to come back.
I am moved to read so many messages of love to Gloria Estefan, I am Cuban like her and it hurts me that in her country she has been banned and is almost unknown by her compatriots because of the dictatorship that sees in her a beacon of freedom, thank you Gloria for shining ...
Coming from a family who fought and eventually fled Khrushchev’s evil tanks I loathe communism.
This is so sad, I didn’t know none of this. She has such a beautiful soul. America loves you Gloria Estefan 🇺🇸
ive been to your island twice and although its authentic and the cuban people are very welcoming, can't see why gloria can't be a stateswomen for the whole of Cuba. patience and one day you may be surprised RJP
She deserves to be in the hall of fame
Finally I found this song after 15 years of searching! I remember the day when I listen to this song on my dad's Sony Ericsson phone when I was a young boy. I almost cried I finally found this song.
Can't we make this kind of music again? The chord progression, the lyrics, the depth of emotion, the magic of it all. Not to mention a woman speaking from her heart and telling how it is to struggle with a lost cause. Someone please build a time machine!
But.. its just a simple chord progression in f sharp

There is something called Retro Synthwave or Retrowave. Try The Midnight, FM-84. They don't get airplay and that is a darn shame because they blast the current crock of pooh considered published music.

Escucho desde Argentina, su voz siempre me da paz.
I listen to it from Argentina, her voice always brings me peace.
Gloria is my favorite female singer/songwriter of all time. She is incredible.
What a beautiful song! I have loved it for years and still do. I never found my special someone, so when I hear the lyrics, I get sad about what I truly missed out on in life. I imagine that there was someone who I would have done anything for.
My favorite thing about this song is the beautiful outro with the horns and the guitar doing magical things.
Absolutely agree!!!!
Yeeeeeeeees!
I remember in 1988, when I was in Korea on the DMZ, she visited us and performed that particular song for a small group of US Army soldiers. Always have a special place in my heart for her doing that for us. ☮️💜
Thank you for your service!
Must have been incredible
1963 on the DMZ..it was AN EXPERIENCE,I will never forget..we have to keep that hole shut!🙏☮️🇺🇸
Had a crush on Gloria growing up, then it progressed to an absolute respect for her musical style and voice. I know she is an icon for the Latino community, but her music is respected worldwide. Her videos are not viewed nearly enough in my opinion.
Nothing to beat 80s.. Seriously magic
Is anyone going to say sumthing about that guitar?...whoever was playing that guitar was going crazy...ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!
kikiiki
Im sorry to all the young people who didnt know the 80's
Best of times
i must admit, i know this song in 2000s and i was quite surprised because i never thought gloria and msm had created this song... it's so 80s with "david foster" style... too bad in my country, this song "lost" to more their popular songs, i.e. conga, rythim is gonna get you, because those songs were most played on the radio at that time...
Like when songs were about love not debauchery
They were some of the happiest days of my life, how I wish I could relive them
Good songs are timeless
and new songs are not equal to good songs
Gloria's music from the 80's, just takes me back to a more simpler time. Her album" Cut Both Ways",,takes me back to the best times of my life.
In 1988 Gloria and I were friends. She is a great a woman as she can sing. Gloria was an activist, always doing good things for others. She was the Queen of Miami.
Still the Queen!
She will remain queen of Miami
As far as pop megastars go, she's always seemed unbelievably grounded. No hint of scandal that I can remember. Married to the same man for almost 50 years, not a peep of tabloid nonsense.
It's almost a ridiculous American Dream Story. Plucked out of a church choir, toils for a decade in a territory band, on weekends between studying and day-jobs, and gets her first top-10 when she's 29 years old and BLOWS UP with almost none of the BS that comes with fame (and miraculously recovers from getting hit by a truck along the line). I'm here thinking there has to be a catch.
I FEEL REALLY GOOD RIGHT NOW
Love is a sweet hurting. These valentine classics make me feel for love in this 40+ year old heart. 😅 Thats the power of pop.
Thanks to gloria for such heartmelting song, its never forgettable. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Mr.Lu.

Gloria and Miami Sound Machine had such a profound impact on our music scene and culture. The Cuban musical influence came along at just the right time. Hearing this after so many years and I'm crying. Feels so sentimental listening to this I loved this song so much when it came out. I'm 49 now and to think that my emotions could just be triggered like that is so crazy, because I've been through some stuff as we all have, and this song just told a part of my story. Nostalgia is a bitter sweet thing. Gloria was and is so underated
Same, I’m also 49 takes you right back, bring back the 80s when life was so simple and care free 🤍
Her voice is pure beauty. Her songs are simply amazing. I always felt she wasn't given enough accolades for her talents. Her range of vocal ability hard to find. Never disappoints.
Such a lovely tribute to your father 😢❤
Gorgeous, beautiful song by this amazing woman. I’m a child of the 80’s and Gloria’s music has really got me through those years. So much nostalgia. A classic masterpiece 🎶🎵

I was 27 when this song was popular and used to listen to it before going out. The video depicts that fun and layed back time of exactly how it was. I agree about the guitar and trumpets at the end. They add to and highten that feeling of being out on a weekend night.

Saw Gloria "live" in Buffalo, New York back before the
turn of the century. Her entrance into the auditorium
was above the crowd and in a ball all lit with LED-type
flashing and twinkling lights. Best concert I've ever seen.
WOW - 1988 when this song was released. I fell in love with Gloria that year .... it's been 33 years.
This song and *_Can't Stay Away From You_* are my all time favorites.

This is such a beautiful song. Sad yet powerful and it always pulls at my heartstrings.
The guy in the video, I knew him. Met him in the summer of 94.

I definitely agree. I've been listening to this for 35 years, and I still cry when I hear it.
The natural rhythm is deeply rooted in people's hearts.👒☀️

This will never get old. I just love this song. I can listen to this over and over.
Love you Gloria. I was a teen when you hit the scene. I was new to music appreciation, but I knew you were special, even back then. No one sounds like you. And you're beautiful.
This will make you love her more. I had the pleasure of working with her on a show a couple years ago, and she is such a classy, positive, and down to earth person. Super sweet lady.
MegaVolcano You're right, it does, Lol. That's her reputation too, not that I'm an expert. I've seen interviews with her in the past, about Cuba, and she's a great and eloquent spokeswoman for the cause of freedom vs tyranny. Much respect for her. Very cool that you got to work and interact with her, I bet it was awesome. Thanks for sharing your experience, Mega.

I got divorced when this song came out use to cry every time at played on the radio to work .it still makes me 😢
Saw her in concert with Miami Sound Machine and Jon Secada at the Universal Amphitheater. Phoeniminal is the word that comes to my mind. She did 2 encores and everyone gave her a standing ovation. It was right after her accident and everyone in the audience was moved and touched by her and the music.

I did forget this song for a moment but it's beauty is everlasting.
Unrequited love still hurts when it's nobody's fault, and I will always love this song for embracing that nuance when the easy break-up narrative is to lean on resentment.
This is my favorite song ever. I love her voice. From 2:47 gives me goosebumps each and every time I hear it.
The video makes it even more ecstatic but what's so great about it is that it like all music 60's, 70's and 80's takes me to a certain place every time.
