After watching this video I'm gonna go with Retroid Pocket 4 Pro over 5. Maybe jus maybe on paper the SD865 and snapdragon driver's support has edge over RP4 Pro. But in real world testing Retroid Pocket 4 Pro 'Mediatek Dimensity 1100 and Mali Driver' has managed to hold it's own. Delivering neck in neck performance neither one is faster or has more power than the other. *The only upgrades RP5 has is OLED display and 1080p resolution for sharper panel making texts little easier to read than RP4 Pro* Otherwise both plays PS2, GameCube, Wii, DreamCast, Saturn, N64, very well Switch and Wii U will have slightly better advantage on Retroid Pocket 5. Due to Snapdragon custom driver's support. *However Switch emulation and Wii U works on RP4 Pro and Mali driver's are also getting unofficial support from unknown small devs once again tie!*
@nepaliprayasgurung2594 you know everyone has their own preferences , For me, the bigger screen and better ,more comfortable to play and wiiu and also switch is a big plus , but as everyone are different that's why we've got choice 👌
@@jacu27The OLED screen and 5.5 inch design and back grip. Definitely makes Retroid Pocket 5 better and more. Comfortable sure, and OLED display vibrant and colorful panel with boosted saturated colors and better HDR and contrast makes RP5 more better than RP4 Pro. Yeah sure but not by much RP4 Pro has 4.7 inch screen it's not too small but it's definitely doable in size. But it lacks grips. So you can buy a new grip case so that evens the odd. But in the end like you said it's all a preferences of an individual so going by that I'm still sticking with RP4 Pro. *I don't need OLED display the size is still big on RP4 Pro, until I see more powerful upgrades on RP4 Pro then I'll considering upgrading but for now I don't see any reasons to upgrade the RP4 Pro can do everything the RP5 can in all scenarios till we have a real successor then I'll shill out till the ciao!*
I jumped on the hype train and honestly the 5 is still pretty uncomfortable so ergonomics is out the window. The screens nice but looking at my vitas my lites screens faired better than my oled so that was a moot point in longevity. I think if you don’t have a device go for the 5 but if you have a 4 pro just wait 10 months for the next arrival
@@jimbo1807821 I'll try my best not be bias here if you never owned Retroid Pocket 3 or even RP4 Pro and looking to play PS2, GameCube, Wii, DreamCast, Saturn, Switch and Wii U. *Get yourself RP5 you'll appreciate the slightly bigger device at 5.5inch but it's still pocketable enough to take it on the go. You'll love the OLED screen and OLED panels from when it first came out S4, to Vita now it's way better and you'll appreciate the sharper 1080p screen!* If you already own RP4, then buy RP5 just wait a year for newer more powerful device to come out next year when a true successor is out. RP5 is barely considered a upgrade more. Like slight incremental more then true upgrade!
@@jimbo1807821 I disagree with you Retroid Pocket 5 has more comfortable design it uses the same design as Anbernic RG556 for the rear of device. Which makes it more comfortable to hold and play for longer then an hour without ever getting your hands fatigued or finger cramps. The OLED display is amazing to look at all the vibrant colours and "High Dynamic Range" and vivid and vibrant and saturated colors makes it that much more pleasing to look at. *Almost makes old games a new paint job with sharper and crisper 1080p resolution make. It bit better?* But that's about it. Retroid Pocket 5 isn't as powerful as Retroid Pocket 4 pro neither one is more powerful hardware wise than the other. *So it brings nothing to the table that is new other than incremental upgrades in screen and grips on the back of the devices* Only thing I want to advise is if someone is looking for their first handheld console looking to. Play PS2, GameCube, Wii, DreamCast, Switch and. WII U. *Get the Retroid Pocket 5 if you have the money?* If you're on budget or don't have enough money or want to spend money that'll break. Your bank then get the retroid pocket 4 pro and grip accessory you'll love it. Plays any emulators that new retroid pocket 5 does so both device's are tie and draw power wise!
Can you transfer you data save on RP4PRO to RP5?after all the time a person play to a device it's hard to start again to play the game again year after year 😂

Great comparison!
Great video man
Thanks 👌 have a good weekend
Redroid pocket 4 pro can playing tomb raider and dmc 4 with winlator?
I found RP4P has better luck with OpenGL drivers than Vulkan and vice versa.
Hello.
If i have Steam Deck, do you think i still would need this? Or SD is more than enough?
Thanks
Steamdeck is too big for me , but on steamdeck ypu can play what you want without any single problems
I like screen of RP5
@@ffedor77 very sharp and bright 👌
Great Review!! Do the devices come with pre-installed Games ?
Hi, none of retroids handhelds has games ,they are not providing anything apart console and basic emulators
Just bought white, how long did it take to arrive?
I bought it in the beginning of September when it was possible to buy and took 3 months to arrive 🙃 but now I haven't got an idea how long will be
Hey bro can you confirm if the RP5 can support a 1.5tb sandisk sd card?
@@dvsdfbghfhfghdf as my the biggest card is 256gb I haven't got an idea 🤔
Yes, it will. I’m using literally that card with my rp5 right now.
@@Aguy6714 thank you!
How much time between the pocket 4 & the 4 pro? I'm thinking about waiting for a 5 pro.
They've said they are not gonna do a pro version, but who knows....????
Bro,amazing console,but if u can show me pls ps3?
I will also do that emulation
Does it have uncharted golden abyss
All games you need to download by yourself, they are not providing any games with the console
@jacu27 how to download the games
Can you transfer you data save on RP4PRO to RP5?after all the time a person play to a device it's hard to start again to play the game again year after year 😂
You can transfer all save games but is a little but work to do this ,Joe's retro handheld showed how to do it
@jacu27 thanks
gta sa got ghosting, any tips?
Funny thing is I have both
What makes that funny?
Could you try to play Football Manager Touch game (switch) on RP4 pro please?
it's not funny
I have both too and nobody cares
Feel the power
The buttons are so clacky.
@@MrLaserpowered yes that's true , they are a bit too loud😞
