I absolutely love the personality of this channel, I love the cat thing its very silly and overall it gives this cozy vibe of these videos!! Please keep adding these cute plushies in your videos!!
Fun little project. Just make sure to let them dry a LONG time before you start using them! In the past I did this but then started using it the next day, and the paint chipped off. Let it dry as long as you can, both between coats and after the final coat. 1 day between coats and 2-3 days for final drying would be ideal IMO. Good luck!

Thanks for being critical of the screen. I'm pretty picky about my screens and this has been a concern for me that nobody else has really been talking about.

I'm wondering if it's better to have a narrower screen for systems that don't need a widescreen, like GameCube and PS2. Probably why I'm leaning most towards the 2S for that.
I changed the background live wallpaper, and it appears to have alleviated the red/pink tinge to the text. However the R-Analog trigger spring has already broken on mine :(... and it's chinese new year til the 18th.... darn
Nah changing the wallpaper didn't fix it for me. It made it less noticeable in the android menu but it's still there in other menus (like Dolphin). It's not really a huge deal, it's not like screens need to be PERFECT to be enjoyable. It's still a great screen. It's just kind of weird that they messed this part up when it was fine on the RP3+ ya know? Bummer about your stick :.(
As someone who missed video games entirely between 1994 (SNES) and 2021 (Switch), my RP4pro is pretty much ideal for me to jump in and sample what I missed. I've found via Switch, I like Nintendo-y/arty/quirky/weird games the most, so I m on thr hunt for those sorts of games--which fortunately seem to not be the most graphically demanding. I've seen a lot of people advocate getting the Odin 2, but at it reads "gamery" to me, and isn't small and simple looking like the RP4, and costs more than a Switch--so I'll save the $170 difference in price from the RP4 to put toward a Switch 2 when that comes out (and hopefully thereafter Switch 1s can be hacked to become excellent emulators themselves).
Yeah I'm with ya. The Odin 2 is amazing but it's a pretty steep price difference considering you don't get all that many more games compared to the RP4 in the big picture.
Just picked one of these up pre-configured with ES--DE Frontend and absolutely love it. It's just so inviting to pick up and play. Got an RG35XX H a few weeks before and definitely opt for this every time unless I just want to throw something in a pocket without really caring too much about it. This is WAY more comfortable even though it's still pretty compact. I'm actually preferring to pick this up and play it around the house over my Steamdeck OLED even. Might be because it's new? But I maybe actually prefer it to the Steamdeck at least for emulation. With ES-DE it's just a little more streamlined and I think having a smaller screen with higher PPI than the Steamdeck makes the games look better as well.

Great video! Quick question: how do you get cod mobile to work right away? My RP4P controls aren't recognized without me having to map the buttons with keymap...
That's strange. Make sure the controller is set to 'xbox' mode in the handheld settings. And then start up COD without any other external controller connected. It should ask what controller you have (select xbox) and then it should work fine. That's how it worked for me at least 🤷♂️

I hope so!
@@TechDweeb It worked! Appreciate that. Thought I had already set that up
Does this play Call of Duty Warzone? I hear some people were getting banned on the Odin 2
could you change the title to 4pro id like to refer back it, after i see what the 4 can do? great vid as always!
Have you experienced any issues with the trigger buttons? i heard through the grape vine that the triggers break easily has this happened to you yet?
Hasn't happened for me, and I used it A TON in the days leading up to this review. Long-term, who knows!
Great video man, think you've just convinced me to purchase one on pay day! Where did you get your dock from?
It's all fun and games till your right trigger failed, your screen got messed up and the fan turned into a jet engine. 😢
1:01 such a cat move. It pines for your attention and insists on having it, then when you relent. It decides to leave shortly after 😂
It's a power thing
@@TechDweeb that and or they are demanding more food, even 3 minutes after having some 🤣. I DEMAND SATISFACTION HUMAN
When you learn how to develop a good relationship with cat energy, you'll correspondingly learn the basic skills of developing a relationship with the uncouth prefix we attach to cats. _AHEM_ Like filling in the blank for that Tom Jones classic, "What's new, _____cat?"
@@robhulson woahhh woahhh wo
you are an artist
Looks like a quality system, not sure if it's replace my RP3+ quality, but quality nonetheless. Hi Hermiati.
MEOW
I'm not even paying attention this is so funny!
I like that it runs Need For Speed Most Wanted and Ratchet and Clank Going Commando. I need it to play Scarface The World is Yours, Pokemon Colosseum, Need For Speed Carbon, All Pokemon 3DS games to start.
I wish that Retroid 4 Pro was Purple 💜😭
How would you compare this to the Odin Lite w/ 6gb ram? Also, what is link to your Android set-up guide?
Doh! Sorry forgot to add the link. Here ya go: ua-cam.com/video/evuTu5fnDls/v-deo.html
Deciding between this or the 405v, what do you guys think
Go for the 405v if you want more comfort and a vertical device. Go for this if you want widescreen stuff or if Gamecube & PS2 performance is a priority. There's no wrong answer, it just depends on your needs and preferences.
What's that wallpaper?
I googled "retro atari living room" and that's what I found. Nice photo huh?
were you playing the wii skyward sword or the switch one
Mine only just passed customs in china. Lets hope no pirates get a craving for retro handhelds as it makes its way to australia.
Oh no you tipped them off in a UA-cam comment! 🏴☠️
@@TechDweeb ah! ... shoot ! ... there on to me !
link for hermiones channel?
Don't encourage her.
I love your content. The day I can see you I will click the join button ❤️
Rewatching it almost 6 months after I bought my RP4 to check it out how to paint the buttons 😂 (actually gonna paint my mm+ buttons tho haha)
How does it compare to the Odin?
Cheaper, not as good, not as comfortable, but cheaper so still a good choice.
