This video will discuss what the Wim Hof Method is and how it works, Sky's experience trying the Wim Hof Method and training with the Iceman himself, and how the Wim Hof Method relates to yoga and mindfulness. Sky talks about how the Wim Hof Method has expanded her meditation and mindfulness practice in unexpected ways.
Iceman Wim Hof is known for breaking all sorts of world records withstanding extreme weather conditions including the longest ice bath, the longest swim under ice, climbing past the death zone on Mt. Everest in nothing but shorts, and running a marathon in the desert without drinking water.
But Wim Hof claims that he can teach anyone to access their own inner power through his teachable method called, "The Wim Hof Method."
The Wim Hof Method consists of three parts:
    1. meditation/concentration techniques
    2. breathing exercises
    3. gradual cold exposure.
Sky will discuss the famous Wim Hof breathing technique, how it works, and how it's similar and different to other yogic breathing techniques.
YJ Tried It is a new YJ series where Sky tries all sorts of alternative modalities and emerging trends in the yoga and health world! Be sure to check out Sky's channel where she makes similar videos!

Who else has tried the Wim Hof Method?! What did you think?

I do it before bed, and it actually gave me a number of benefits. It drastically improved my sleep, and it fixed my previously uncontrollable adrenaline rush. Overall I'm very grateful for this technique.

I've done WHM on and off for a couple of months and watched a ton of videos like yours to learn it... yours strikes me as one of the most accurate and informative. Nice job.

The breathing technique you explained can be fancy for few people but it can be dangerous for many, they can damage their internal nerves if they don't do correctly, this breathing technique is a part of Pranayama which is a science of respiration and energy it should be learn from masters otherwise it can harm badly, btw people who have heart problem must not do the breathing excercise you mentioned.

No, it's good for the majority of people and potentially dangerous for a few. There are over 100 000 people doing this right now and the truth is that it strengthens the body so it actually prevents many very deadly desieses.
