The second one I could immediately tell it was about Casey Anthony, the fake babysitter, the buying the tarp and shovel, the concerned other person being the one to bring it up to the cops instead of her... Of course in this version it wasn't murder, at least not directly, she's just an anti-vaxxer (which frankly should've been considered murder). In the real case, Casey went off partying for a month before her mother found out her daughter was msising and called police. Then she told lie after lie after lie after lie to try and cover herself. In the USA the hospital bill, especially an emergency hospital visit bill, can cripple you into debt you may never get out of if you're of average or below average income bracket. In the most dire of cases, yes, mothers think to take their kids to the ER, but many can't afford to for something that's potentially not an emergency.
In my experiences the ER doesn’t do anything for me I couldn’t have done for myself at home. And it’s always $1200+ bill (& that’s WITH good insurance) for a 1-2 hour visit that you spent 5-9hours in the waiting room feeling sick and miserable & uncomfortable waiting for when you could have spent that time comfortable at home in bed with medicine and ice packs or heat packs or whatever else. Always feel worse after the ER it’s traumatizing. Urgent care is a different story though, with my insurance it’s a $50 co pay and it’s much quicker and they actually will prescribe you something to help. ER rarely gives prescriptions they just want to do test after test after test. It’s awful in the U.S. it really is
Even when one does go to the ER scared shitless that something may have happened to their child. Well, there are definitely good people out there their is… but their is alot more evil people in this world or maybe its the country as a whole 😒🥴
Hilary Duff playing Casey Anthony is an episode I’ll never forget. I know they aren’t “real” stories but it’s obvious that the episode was about Casey Anthony.

@@MukbangMondays it wasn't and that thrrew me off when I first watched it. I think that's why it's very loosely based on Casey Anthony especially since she was found not gulity.

It's not too uncommon for someone to make a visual aid even if it's for a small presentation, especially if you need to send it home that shaking a kid ain't gonna do nice things to their brain
@tiffanymudd1638 agreed - Casey isn't a parent or medical professional. She needed to know everything before she even attempts to prosecute a suspect, because later in the episode Evelyn's defence attorney Balthus tries to cast doubt on shaken baby syndrome by hinting that Lucy suffered from HLH and the rib fractures being possibly caused by Stabler carrying her.
You don’t slap a baby across the face. And of course she’s unruly, she’s a baby girl! Not all children are the same, but none of them are gonna act like pretty and quiet baby dolls 24/7! They have good days and they have bad days. My niece is a month from having her half birthday and while she is a good baby, she gets fussy. If she doesn’t have her bottle in time, she’s gonna get fussy and cranky because she’s waited too long. If she pooped herself, she’s gonna be extra squirmy. That doesn’t mean that she should be abused. And that baby girl didn’t need to be slapped across the face for being disruptive. She should’ve been talked to and given punishment, not abuse people call “discipline” for some disgusting reason. I know this is a show, but I also know that situations like these are real. I know some babies have parents who cook m*th in their homes. I know some girls get SA’d at a young age. I know some parents verbally, mentally, and physically abuse their children. It just fills me with rage that some people act like this. As the wise saying goes, “every child deserves a parent, but not all parents deserve a child” Sorry for ranting, but thank you for listening to my TEDTalk.
The mother of the dead baby was absolutely awful, but not vaccinating your child is also awful and the mother that didn't vaccinate her son indirectly killed the baby girl.
Agreed. Immunisations protects the children. All children. Even people who are elderly including people with low immunity for example. I have no thyroid to protect myself from rubella and other blood diseases that can place me in life threatening danger. Anyone who don't immunised thier kids should be held accountable

In the 50's there were measles shots but not stable. My youngest sister had the shot at the time when I and my other sister had the measles. One day a neighbor child came over with the measles. My youngest sister contacted the measles from her. She died from pneumonia resulting from measles, she had two types seven day and roseola.
I wish I could remember the episode. The opening is an abandoned infant is found, and Benson and Stabler are told that the baby has had no direct human contact. So Stabler walks up to the infant, holds his tiny finger, and says, "Welcome to the world tough guy." My all-time favorite Stabler moment.
I work in the medical field, I don’t understand the reason people don’t get their children vaccinated it is necessary unless the child has problems where they can’t be. There are cases where people who were not vaccinated as children have sued their parents for not vaccinating them. There is literally no harm or cause of concern where they shouldn’t be vaccinated.
I tried to watch this video because I like the actors; however, I had to turn it off. My 22-month-old granddaughter was murdered by her caregiver throwing her into an entertainment center. It's too close to home.

Growing up in a third world country were essential shots are not widely available. Seeing children suffer from preventable diseases is incredibly sad and horrific if they die. Vaccinate your children!!!
It angers me to the extreme when parents take their sick kids to public places like school or the park instead of taking them to the place where they actually need to go the doctor or the hospital because when they do it is always other people pay for the parents negligence by getting sick and the worst part is that the person who has caught the illness could end up having it longer than the the person who they caught it from or worse
One of my favorite episodes, that really got to me, was with, guest star, Abigail Hawk, that played one of the parents, who had to come to a decision whether to let their baby live or die. It was a very emotional, heartbreaking episode. 💔💔💔😭😭😭
This is why they should make it illegal to not vaccinate your child and be doing serious jail time if you don’t especially if it spreads in this type of way
So the second case is definitely based on casey anthony, but the woman who was pushing the baby doll around is also most likely based on a real person too. There's a woman who brings a towel to the theme parks in fl and pretends its a child. The workers at the park are trained to react to the towel like it's a real child. Like telling the woman her baby is too small to ride certain rides. So i feel like the episode was very florida themed

As a child who understood that vaccines helped my immune system I begrudgingly accepted them early in life. What bothered me was my Mom always saying "it doesn't hurt". I now no longer trust that phrase and have a fear of medical needles that I am managing because of that lie

One of my kids is not vaccinated. She had a bad reaction and the doc said no more til she got older. My youngest is fully up to date and has all his shots. A kid isn’t always unvaxxed thanks to subpar parents.
No, but it usually IS the reason. Medical reasons like your child’s are RARE. So most unvaccinated children ARE unvaccinated because their parents are pathetic.
The whole point of herd immunity is to protect kids like yours and the ones with compromised immune systems in general when they can't risk the vaccination. But the subpar parents are the reason we don't have herd immunity and why kids like yours are in danger.
Real nice idea for people on chemo, or with autoimmune issues, or people who have been injured, or people who have allergy based disorders/diseases. Not everybody CAN be vaccinated just fyi. Lots of people don't get a choice.
@@ry.butterfly Honey use your head here. I have auto immune issues and can’t take certain vaccines. Anyone with an ounce of common sense understands what I’m saying.

In the real Casey Anthony case, her daughter was found buried in a shallow grave with duct tape covering her nose and mouth. Her cause of death was suffocation, but the defense argued she had drowned in the family pool and Casey panicked and tried to hide it.
In the real case, Casey went off partying for a month before her mother found out her daughter was msising and called police. Then she told lie after lie after lie after lie to try and cover herself.
She was acquitted and walks free today because her lawyer mounted a genuinely talented defense where he argued not necessarily that Casey was innocent, but purely that the state couldn't prove she was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
she wasn't an anti vaxer, the other mother was. Sierra couldn't be vaccinated she was too young for the shot.
hillary duff was so good in this

Yikes. Way too young

14:17 these moms don’t just think and say “well, idk what’s going on with my child; I’m going to the ER to find help!”
She was under the impression that spanking her kid is what killed her. She didn't think the fever was anything but an annoyance that her kid would eventually get over.
In the USA the hospital bill, especially an emergency hospital visit bill, can cripple you into debt you may never get out of if you're of average or below average income bracket.
In the most dire of cases, yes, mothers think to take their kids to the ER, but many can't afford to for something that's potentially not an emergency.
@@K._THEARTIST😢😢
I love how Finn stood in front of the boy. Hero….
Hilary Duff playing Casey Anthony is an episode I’ll never forget. I know they aren’t “real” stories but it’s obvious that the episode was about Casey Anthony.
True....
The second episode? That wasnt the same as Casey Anthonys
They added the thing about the unvaccinated kid giving Sierra measles, in this episode . I believe investigators never were able to prove what Kaylee Anthony’s cause of death was.
@@MukbangMondays it wasn't and that thrrew me off when I first watched it. I think that's why it's very loosely based on Casey Anthony especially since she was found not gulity.

You mean to tell me yall don’t keep an egg on you in case you need a quick snack? I don’t leave home without it
She probably brought it as a visual representation since she was presenting her findings on the case. So yeah, she probably didn’t think the detectives would get it without one lol

As the wise saying goes, “every child deserves a parent, but not all parents deserve a child”
Sorry for ranting, but thank you for listening to my TEDTalk.
Late question, but is it possible to scold a child? When they're a baby, they don't understand speech fully, so how do you get them to calm?
17:05 Good mothers get their children properly immunized and don't cause the death of another child.
Thank you amen I 100% agree
The mother of the dead baby was absolutely awful, but not vaccinating your child is also awful and the mother that didn't vaccinate her son indirectly killed the baby girl.
Its not that simple but okay
@mushios Yeah it really is that simple. Vaccines aren't 100%. Nothing is, but it would have lessened the risk and a one year old might not have died.
Agreed. Immunisations protects the children. All children. Even people who are elderly including people with low immunity for example.
I have no thyroid to protect myself from rubella and other blood diseases that can place me in life threatening danger.
Anyone who don't immunised thier kids should be held accountable
People who don't vaccinate their kids shouldn't be allowed to bring them in Public. Theirs a reason you have to get it for school

Mother, Father, Aunt or Uncle. You can always be a failure in those categories.
Hillary Duff and stabler in the thumbnail? Well played.
I guessed everything she said was "So Yesterday" she really needed to "Come Clean"
In the 50's there were measles shots but not stable. My youngest sister had the shot at the time when I and my other sister had the measles. One day a neighbor child came over with the measles. My youngest sister contacted the measles from her. She died from pneumonia resulting from measles, she had two types seven day and roseola.
The grandmas reaction to her daughter buying a tarp and a shovel is exactly how a grandma should act when hearing such things.

I knew the last name of my child's babysitter.
One of my favorite episodes, that really got to me, was with, guest star, Abigail Hawk, that played one of the parents, who had to come to a decision whether to let their baby live or die. It was a very emotional, heartbreaking episode. 💔💔💔😭😭😭
This is why they should make it illegal to not vaccinate your child and be doing serious jail time if you don’t especially if it spreads in this type of way
Sorry but I love the line “police i’m arresting your a**”🤣
The picture of the grandfather & his grandbaby (after ending his own life) had me bawling. Even worse, knowing it was based on true events. 😭💔
Can we just take a moment to acknowledge the fact that Hilary Duff hasn't aged after all these years? I mean, seriously, she looks just like she did on Lizzie McGuire in the 2000s. I'm speechless.

The problem with these crime dramas is the writers r churning out quantity not quality. We all love crime drama mysteries but there's gotta be deeper puzzle around the crimes to keep us pinned down.
The problem with that problem is that … there are only so many different crimes and variations of them. Unless they want to go down some _really dark_ paths (which I doubt)
