Cloud keeps acting up and grabbing at his head screaming Argh and Sephiroth everytime she asks why he recorded them anyway. In which case, Tifa'd talk to him again in private. And they'd walk off and disappear. After around 20 minutes to like an hour, you'd see him doing better, catching his breath, back to his old self, sweaty and tired.
One time, Yuffie asked him where his materia were, but he just said he didn't know. She later saw Tifa handing them to Cloud in private saying "Washed them. I developed this technique called Dolphin Blow, I want to sho-" right before Cloud acted up again and semi-screamed Sephiroth. Yuffie sneaked behind them when they left, bringing a video camera with her.
Meanwhile Tifa's just standing there listening in like 👁👄👁

It's so surreal to think that Cloud is in his early 20s. When I was a kid that felt so old. Now I'm 31 and I'm older than my childhood hero. But this is pretty true to form lol. Yuffie is like a kid sister or cousin who tries to see how far she can push the older brother Cloud.
Physically, Cloud is 21 here, but mentally he's 16. He was in a lab for 4 years and mako sick for 1.

I never thought the devs would be so blatantly obvious with Cloud’s mannerisms toward Tifa but if you deny it, you’re flat out lying at this point. For a lack of a better word he… manhandles Tifa. Also happens in the gondola scene. Tifa will be reaching out to him but Cloud won’t even wait for her to grab his hand- he literally yeets her whole body into him. He also can’t keep his hands to himself, as he unnecessarily touches her waist as she spins. The man literally almost grabs her ass when they hug, and this does not happen with the other characters.
My point is that I always thought Cloti shippers exaggerated this aspect of Cloud’s character… because come on, the guy’s got no game. Yeah, girls literally throw themselves at him for being hot but I used to believe he was as clueless as they came with romance. Rebirth absolutely changed my mind bc damn, Cloud is down bad. He 100 percent takes on a much more dominant persona with Tifa… and that’s all I’m going to say.
I also thought he had no rizz. bro is finally beating the allegations. I did not expect him to initiate on gondola the way he did at all
Cloud and Tifa under the Highwind happened 27 years ago. I don't mean to sound like a pretentious old timer, but anyone who beat the game back in the day ain't gonna be a Clerith shipper. This was put to bed a long time ago, but there will always be people in denial who don't know about Zack and never played og ff7 because they dont really play video games like that. I feel pretentious for saying all that, but seriously the case has BEEN closed for decades.

What’s funny is I’ve never played the OG and probably won’t play the remake. Im just not a gamer. But that doesn’t stop me from appreciating a well written story, no matter the type of media used. I’m fully invested in the FFVII universe and I love all of the characters. I even enjoy ‘crack shipping’ bc it’s fun and silly.
I’ve never understood the ‘shipping wars’ though… to me it’s always been obvious who the canon pairings are. But I won’t deny that SE did sort of try to milk it in the past as well… so it’s not that surprising this is still a thing.
@22amih I can appreciate crack shipping, too, if it isn't taken too seriously. Sometimes it's really funny.
I love that Final Fantasy has developed such a big non-gamer fanbase that just appreciates the story. I would highly recommend if you haven't already, check out ff6, it also has a beautiful and emotional story.

I really appreciate Rebirth keeping Cloud's personality post Midgar. So many people still believe he's imitating Zack. Even in Remake he's basically pretending to be a Soldier while taking from both Zack and Sephy and what he views as cool.
Once he's with the party for a while he's basically just himself. It's the reason Barret says nothing changed when Cloud drops the soldier title.
rebirth does an amazing job of letting his real personality slip up. and because its voiced, its easier to notice. also the og did have one of the shittiest translations, which did butch alot of that characterization.
Did they include episode from the original where Tifa helps him recollect his true identity? Haven't finished the Rebirth, but want to know if that's part is included

@@PonyDonny No. This game ends at OG disc 1 Forgotten Capital/City of the Ancients. Part 3 will follow up the rest of disc 2&3. Disc 3 is literally just the final dungeon. Disc 2 is Northern Crater - Returning to Midgar.
@marcosdheleno they don't actually remake it by discs. Remake ends on 1/2 of disc 1, rebirth starts with the second half of disc 1, also in the og game disc 3 was basicly made for final boss battle and finishing side quests
Its also cannon to remember that cloud and tifa did the deed under the highwind at the end of ff7 as there was a line from yuffie and the others complaining about the noises they could hear 😅

The "Beneath the HighWind" scene wass originally going to be Tifa peaking out from the stalls in the morning before they both walk out, but that implied too much, so they dropped that entirely. So no, no one saw anything that happened, but the iykyk understanding is still there.

In the original when you climb back up to the Highwind’s observation deck, the whole team is there and Tifa says, “wait, does that mean, you all saw. . . !!” And then she runs away in embarrassment.
