I wish nursing students would make inspirational messages for new nursing students so that they would go into the program with a positive attitude. When I first started the nursing journey, I was told by many students that A&P were super hard and that most people would fail them. Since I was an ESL student, I was scared to death because my English skill was so poor( it still is). However, after receiving a good grade on the first test in my Anatomy class, I gained so much confidence and realized that what people were telling me was not all true. If you are willing to invest the time in your classes, you will pass them with really good grades. I'm an average student but I passed anatomy with a 96% and Phys with 91%. If I can ace these these classes, other people without a language barrier can ace them too. So future nursing student:please do not let people scare you. You can do it; you just have to invest more time in A&P classes. Oh one more thing: Do not do too much research on UA-cam because you'll end up getting anxiety; just take class, study hard, and believe in yourself .

I hear many different things about this class. Some say it was one of the worst times of their lives trying to study all of the material. Also I've gotten the complete opposite on how yes they studied, but they did just fine and it wasn't so bad. I really do think it comes down to how much effort and how much one cares for the class. You have to pace yourself and definitely avoid cramming.

2 hours is the minimum. Professors will normally recommend you put in 30 hours a week of study time, including lab. That may seem like a lot, but that's just to give you an idea of how much studying you need to do. I took A&P and passed. I was really happy with my grade. It's a hard class. This is the type of class that med school students take. If you have more than two classes, and you work, chances are you will not pass. I took only a&p and no other classes so I could focus.

I just started listening to your program and all I have to say is thank you so much for creating this. A lot of times when I'm taking classes such as anatomy and physiology. I don't really feel like anyone in my family can truly relate to how intense it can be. You're positive words and tips really helped me out so much! I'm even more excited and driven to become a nurse. Thank you so much again!!!

Your story sounds so much like my own. I just started college last semester after being out of school for 8 or 9 years and this semester I am taking my first A&P class. I just had my first exam yesterday and I had been studying like crazy for it. I thought I was prepared when I walked into class yesterday, but I just got my grade today and I got a 54%. It is clear that I cannot study for this class like I do for others... it's in a league of it's own. As a freshman who is in my mid-20's I just can't fail this class and have to push myself back even further from graduating so I just purchased your program about 5 minutes ago. I'll update after my second exam and to let you know if I've had any improvement. :-) As always, I really appreciate your videos. They help elevate some of the stress I have as a student, which is nice because I am so stressed out I could literally cry at the drop of a hat half of the time lol!

I am currently taking A&P 1 and it is a struggle I dropped it last semester because I didn't have the time to study like I needed too. On my skull and histology exam I got a C, but in my lecture exam I got a 43% this really discouraged me especially when I thought I was doing better and studied more. I really need to pass this class I'm so stressed. You're video gave me the confidence that I can do it if I set my mind to it. Thanks girl!

I'm taking A&P + Lab online this semester as well. While it's very challenging, before accepting a W, I'd really recommend talking with your professor about tips they have for those in their online classes; my prof was VERY understanding--she has a bit of a language barrier, so the lectures weren't cutting it for me, and she took the time to compile a list of resources (videos, articles, etc.) to supplement her lectures for me.
Also remember that we have the entire world at our fingertips

That's awesome! And taking micro with A&P one is very challenging!! I do not know what I was thinking taking these two courses together!! It is very time consuming. I commend you if you are taking both of these classes with other courses. I will say getting a good grade in both sciences are quite possible. My semester started in September and ends in December and I'm still managing a B- in both classes which isn't quite awful! Nursing pre reqs have been very time consuming! After this semester I can finally take my first nursing class which is very rewarding! My advice to you would be study very hard, ask questions, participate and always show your professors that you actually have Interest in the material (this helps). Good luck on your nursing student journey! It will be a tough one but worth it!!!!!

When it comes to researching on the internet! If something doesn't make sense (for example, cell chemistry was kicking my butt), look up the concepts elsewhere until you find a version that makes sense to you! Like Caroline says, make a schedule and stick to it! Eliminate all distractions! I am barely hanging onto my A in both A&P and the lab, but I am determined to maintain my 4.0 in this class! Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much! I just purchased it and I can't wait to look at it, it is downloading as I speak. I am a 2nd year college student. I took anatomy in high school and I got a D (I was an A/B student in high school). The first semester class had over 30 students, and the second semester shrunk to 6. My heart sank when I found out I had to take it once again in College as I am studying to become a Speech and Language Pathologist. I've been searching tips on how to study anatomy concepts and haven't really found any useful videos. This sounds promising and I'm glad to try it out. I also really appreciate that you make the cost editable so that people can pay what they can. I am taking 9 courses next semester and all my textbooks together cost over $700! Thanks again!

Elizabeth Barriga I have to be honest, Caroline is a very nice person but she doesn't teach ANYTHING related with Anatomy. It was no help to me. It is mostly about "Finding your inner self" to relax and prepare for classes. It has very little to do with Anatomy concepts of any sort. I would not buy it again, and I'm a bit upset I even wasted the 50 cents on it. Not worth it, sorry! If you're looking for a motivational speaker, however, go for it!

Hi Caroline, I just purchased your program! I am in Anatomy and Chemistry in college and let's just say, this is the hardest semester I've ever had!! I just got back my test score of my first Anatomy Lab exam and I'm in tears and feel like I gave it nothing short of everything in me to study; going to open lab, late nights coming up with mnemonics, etc. It clearly isn't working and I feel like giving up and forgetting the Nurse idea :( I'm so heartbroken right now... I am giving your program a shot to, even at the least, give me some new methodology on how to pass this class..... I hope I hang in there until your program arrives.....
    Happy Valentines Day!

      Tiffany Dawson Hi Tiffany!
It is really nice to hear from you!
I'm so sorry to hear about your disappointment...
I know it is really hard to give it your all; only to get a bad score. It has happened to me a lot....
There were also so many times when I was sure that I had to give up & that I would not be able to become a nurse.
If I can share anything with you it is this... showing up, despite the pain & continuing to try new things, is not only the key to achieving success in the classes in front of you... but to achieving success in life!
You can do this, it is not going to feel good... but you can do it :)
I really do hope that the tips in the program help you immensely!
However, I noticed that you said you were waiting for the program to arrive... however, it is a digital download... you should have received a link via email within minutes after purchasing.
If you did not, please email my team at: info@EmpoweRN.com and they will help you out!!
      I really hope this helps!

Hey Caroline just wanted to give you an update. So far I've taken my first exam in lecture for A&P 1 and I got a 94 on it and tomorrow is my second exam and I feel solid in my studying and am expecting to get in the 90's again :) also I took my lab midterm and I got an 83 on that :( but it doesn't weigh very much and I received one of the higher grades in the class and the prof said he will curve the grade if necessary. Hey Caroline,
Thank you for posting this video, every motivational!
I just had a question, prior to taking A&P2 did you take any remedial biology course or was A&P2 your first science class since getting back into school? Also before the class even starts, do you suggest studying or reading a textbook in order to prepare for A&P?
    Please let me know :-)

    • @empowern
      @empowern  10 років тому

      David Almonte Hi David!
It is really nice to hear from you!
A&P 2 was my first science class ever. I also took biology at the same time... but it was regular biology and not remedial biology. The only remedial class I took was math.
I do suggest studying the first 6 chapters prior to class starting. A&P is a huge topic & a lot of information is discussed. Usually classes start with a bang & sometimes professors can go over 3 huge chapters on the first class day.
I'm not sure if you picked up the program yet, but I would go over the steps in video 7 throughly prior to class starting, if possible.
      I hope this helps!!
Looking forward to hearing from you again soon!
      Much Love,

This is a great video and it gave me some hope again. I started anatomy and physiology online a couple of weeks ago and it is killing my self confidence. Not only is it overwhelming, but the teacher does not even provide study guides for tests! I do think I will have to withdraw from the class, but I need to talk to financial aid first and then make my decision after that. I think I need to take this class at the school though. I am interested in your offer though. Give me two weeks!

I do have specific tips for A&P because I had to "figure out" things for myself because I was so behind.
However with Algebra, I did have a lot of support because I took a remedial class to get up to college level. Although this class was a blow to my ego, it did help me a lot. Sorry, I do not have specific tips... only advice I can really offer is to stay in close communication with your professor & practice a lot of questions.
Stay in touch & I look forward to hearing from you soon!!

The content is humongous and I literally can't keep up. I'm on study break so I'm getting ahead by doing at least 2 body sections worth of readings. I am nervous bc I gave up a lot to pursue this and don't want it to be wasted. I knew I had to take action. I'll be spending the time learning this and implementing. I am happily married and have a son who is a year and 8 months old, but I do not work so I am not sure if I should do full-time for school but I would like to do full-time. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

It is really nice to hear from you!
I had to take this class with a full load in order to complete the college requirements in a decent amount of time... so it definitely can be done :)
I honestly, think most people have to do it this way.
It would be wonderful if you could take it by itself, but then it could take you a really really long time to finish the pre-reqs....
Maybe take some time & see what you have completed/not completed & see what your comfortable with.
      I hope this helps!!

Hi! I was wondering if this works for high school? I'm in the Health and Science Magnet Program at my school, and I need to take Anatomy and Physiology for the program. If I don't pass with an 80 they're going to kick me out of the school and the Magnet Program. It's been a week in the class and it's a lot of work, more than I suspected and I'm having a lot of trouble studying for everything and doing all the Cornell Notes. Will buying the study guide help for this too since it's not a college class?

    • @empowern
      @empowern  10 років тому

      Hi Kristina!
So nice to hear from you!! That is awesome that you are in a Magnet high school class!! Go you!
I really do think the program will help. It will honestly help with any class that has a lot of content, with super complicated terminology & diagrams.
So far students have even told me that it has helped them with many of their other classes, including, but not limited to: Microbiology, Biology, all of the Nursing Classes, the HESI entrance exam...
If you want, to just give it a try, you can pay as little as one penny.
This way you can test drive it and then if you want later, you could pay more... totally optional :)
Study hard & stay super focused!
Let me know if you need anything else!
      Much Love,
      - Caroline

      LaDana Moore Hi LaDana!
I am so glad that you found the video & the program!
It would be great for you to get a head start using the tips in video 7 especially!
Try to get your book asap & go through the steps chapter by chapter.... up to about 6 chapters.... the earlier you can get your textbook the better.
I really hope this program helps you accomplish your dream :)
      Keep in touch!
      Much love,
      - Caroline

When you buy it can you access the videos offline? is it just video I'm getting or do you have like a downloadable e-book that comes with it?

Hiya, I love this package that I just purchased. I have a question about the class and note taking stage. You explained that in class you take detailed notes and then after class review the text book. What is the most efficient way to combine the text book and your notes so that you can review them time and time again.
    Thank you so much

I'm currently taking A& P 1 I noticed that I test well during my lab versus my lecture. Any advice?

My college doesn't offer A/P together. I have to take them seperately. So: Anatomy 1 by itself. And Physiology 1 by itself. Will this make them easier to get through? And too, during the time I plan on taking these, I am only going to take each class by itself for the entire semester. (I desperately need to get through them both with at worst a B). So hopefully that will help too. I'm trying to stack the odds as much in my favor as possible.

We are learning that in middle school, 6th grade Pre-AP. At first I thought it was normal, but then I realized 10th graders barely started learning it. Im lucky!

Thank you for replying. Yes, from my research, most say it is smarter to take the W. I am going to aim for a lecture class next semester. Two weeks from now, I am going to train as a surgical tech in L&D. I feel its better to invest my energy in that than online anatomy where I don't feel comfortable getting a good grade on. Anyways, what do currently do as an RN?

Hey, do you have any advise on how to learn and remember all the parts of the body? ie the skeleton, the muscles. I have a quiz every anatomy class I attend. That's every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and I always find myself cramming.

Is the video for Anatomy 1 also? I'm currently taking Anatomy 1 and I'm having the hardest time studying. So far I'm failing the class and I need serious help. My card got stolen and I have no way of purchasing this , but I really want to try it. Is there anyway I can try your program? I'm drowning here

Thank you for your video and response. So what you're saying is THIS video doesn't explain the actual "HOW TO STUDY FOR A/P" in THIS VIDEO. Correct? That's what my question was. Thank you for your clarifying!!!!

    • @empowern
      @empowern  9 років тому +1

Lindy Metzger Hi Lindy! Yes, that is correct :) I did a lot of things; in the program I cover them all. The program contains 13 videos, 35 audios and about 5 pdf files... all of which teach you how I studied and aced A&P. I hope this helps!! Much Love,
      - Caroline

HI Caroline! I LOVE how u turned to God and have urself transformed! I'm about to go in LPN next semester and to be honest I AM scared!! TMI TMI TMI is not even a short term any more it's TOO MUCH INFORMATION!! I borrowed some AP books fROM a friend who took the class before and as soon as I opened them I'm speechless. Since my nafive language is not English I have to study extra hard. I bookmarked ur webpage and I'll purchase the program soon, I'd do anything to help myself sail thru. Of course if I can do it, give the credit to the Father! Love how u help people!!

    Hello Caroline,
I have a very tough time learning the physiology portion of A&P 1. This is my second time taking the class and failing is not an option. Will this program teach me ways on how to learn and retain the information? I have absolutely no idea how to study.
    Thank you!
