Ultimately I wanted to give you all a quick update on what has been happening in the last few years. I ended up getting a full time job right before covid hit and since I was working in the ICU, was super super busy.
I also ended up performing a lot of roles at my new job such as chair of the professional practice council and now chair of the charge nurse council. I love projects and have always been eager to help out when it was possible!
Since working in a cardiac critical care unit, I have learned so so much and I'm excited to share everything I have learned with you here! So please stay tuned!
Congratulations Caroline! I’m so happy for you! You were my preceptor back when you lived/worked in Maryland over 10 years ago, so you probably don’t remember me but I still think of you whenever I’m precepting anyone. You were (and still are!) so inspiring and positive and I always aim to be that for new nurses. I’ve been working in a surgical ICU pretty much since you moved and recently finished an NP program. You taught me well and sent me down an incredible path, so thank you from and old friend ❤

It's actually the same apartment, maybe I should do a house tour when I have all the baby things arranged lol... now they are just in boxes and our place looks so messy!

Congrats to you and your husband for your 1st baby!! But I am sorry to hear about your Hashimoto diagnosis. I would suggest you check into Functional medicine, when I worked at a functional medicine clinic, we helped patients diagnosed with Hashimoto and for many of them the disease went in remission with no detectable anti-thyroid peroxidase peroxidase (TPOAb).

It is so nice to see you back! I missed you and prayed all was OK. Congratulations on you 1st baby! That is sooo exciting! There is a you tube family with channel name Justin Rhodes that has a lot of info on how to eat with Hashimoto's Dis. The wife, Rebeka, has Hashimoto's, and they have discussed it a great deal. You can enter "What is wrong with my wife" in the channel's search and one of those videos will come up. Good luck!
Thanks so much for the prayers and for sharing! I will definitely look into channel & video! Thankfully, we were recently able to lower my synthroid dose, while I still feel great! So I do see light at the end of the tunnel :)

I was wondering what was new with you with the time gap but everything is so awesome and I hope you have a safe and exciting rest of your pregnancy! I just gave birth almost last month and thinking about going back to work is a little daunting to say the least 🫣😅
