Great rig! I have the EVH 5150 Overdrive into a Vintage Modern Marshall and it sounds amazing as well.
Can never have too many guitars. Great collection
Brilliant player mate
Great video! I love your dads strat, very cool!
+Sam Coulson Thanks man :)
+Cameron Cooper Yes,I love your 70' strat me too (ash body i think, on the back...) There you miss more than a classic Kramer pacer, or 84 ? ;) I had two Charvel Japan (so-cal and San Dimas), but I preferred the Kramer when I passed.
On youtube, Sam and you, present a beautiful collection of changing strat (super-strat) you have selected your weapons ! ;)
Just now seeing this video. You and your dad seem like great guys and are most definitely awesome players. About your Edward's LP with the backwards 59 at the neck.... a lot of folks do that intentionally in an attempt to get the same sound as "Greeny", I'm sure you already know that, being British and a player yourself. Someone else further down the comment list may have already said this. If so, sorry. Anyway, as good as you were when this was made, your even better now. Much better. Keep sending us videos. Even though I'm in my mid 50's, I still learn. Especially from younger/ better players. Thanks.
i love your sound!!!
That Edwards Rhoads looking L.P. must understand great! I have a Orville L.P. Rhoads , but I put a Gibson over the name and people started freaking out ! One guy made a 10 minute video of why I shouldn't mislead people . Def helped my viewers . I will have to do a video like that ,but 130-ish guitars ,takes a long time to do! Keep on playing ! Let's hear some Rhoads on that Edwards , Randy Rhoads was my teacher ,so I li,etc to see his legacy progress !
I'm just here for the socks. 🤣
Oh - my - goodness! Great gear, man. When you show your guitars i tought that next will definitely be edwards lp, but it was always some strat or other, i wass: this will never end, haha. :D That strat before edwards was really nice looking.
+Tyhmä Noobi Thanks so much :)
Nice Charvels! I have an 89 375 Deluxe with flame top and back. Currently modding it, got a 59' in the bridge and hot rails in the neck! New tuners and bridge replacement parts to come!
+TheOnlyLarsson Sounds very nice man :)
Great video, very well made. Quality of videos constantly improving man :)
+sshnrub Thanks so much! Glad you noticed, this video took so long to finish :)
Awesome gear! and awesome channel so I decided to subscribe :D
man your good Cam!
Hi Cameron, have you considered using a switcher such as the GigRig Quartermaster QMX10 for your pedal board so only the pedals selected are in the signal chain? Helps improve tone by cleaning up the signal path.
You didnt demo the tremelo pedal. Ive just bought the marshall one, great, and all i need. Interested to hear what you'd use it for, as i will prob only use it for a certain gig/band, and odd numbers.
Nice collection but you're missing a charvel model guitar from the 80s. I have the model 4 and it's killer. You're playing is great btw.
Nice rig cam
Yeah man, very interesting video :D
Your pedal board is...gorgeus. I love especially your father guitar! :D
+Air Dealer Thanks dude :)
Man you play amazing! I'm watching some of your "lick of the week" videos , it's help me a lot to Improve . Dude i have one question , about your " Snow White " Charvel , where did you installed the battery ( pickups or between the springs ) ? I'm asking this because i will build my own strato with some Brazilian woods , but i'm studying if i put the floyd rose or wilkison , and one of the few points that i will analyze is the facility to change the battery and tune the floyd . Can you help me ? thanks
Hi. Thanks so much for your comment. I get this question quite a lot. The battery for the EMGs is actually under the pickguard. There's no battery compartment on my guitar. If the battery is installed there, it would not disrupt the springs or anything related to the setting up of a Floyd Rose bridge or any other bridge. I hope this has helped. Cheers ☺
dude u have amazing stuff-i love that echo pedal and especially that univibe..and the amp..and all the guitars. how long has it taken u to collect all that? :]
+SuperDimeslime333 Thanks a lot. It has taken many years of endless money saving and bargain hunting :)
Hi Cameron, terrific video and playing! May I ask what guitar pick you are using these days? Cheers, Drew
The Dunlop Jazz iii XL. cheers so much ☺
+Cameron Cooper Awesome, many thanks Cameron. I just happened to order a pack of those very picks! Looking forward to trying them out. Also, love your channel. Greetings from the U.S.
You're a very talented and fortunate young man. You should dedicate an episode to your parents. I'm sure that they're nurturing and support must've compounded your inspiration. Kudos to them and yourself!!
Thank you, James! I am bringing my Dad on for a video in the very near future to talk about guitars and other music things. :)
Looking forward to it.
Hey man, first things first, I'm a huge fan of your work, you play great and teach great too! Haha One little question: how do you manage string replacement since you have a large amount of guitars? Do you use coated strings to last more and always have shining strings if you choose to play a certain guitar you got? I'm asking this cause I've recelty bought a Charvel San Dimas, just my second guitar, and very fast my strings rust, so I almost never have the two of my guitars with decent strings to play... I clean after playing, all the stuff, I use D'addario XL strings(good quality) and I can't stand the need to change the strings soon. I've tried elixir coated strings, but I figured out that it brokes more easily, so I stopped... thanks bro, cheers!
Kelvin Burigo Hi I use Ernie Ball Super Slinkys for my guitars.. They last for quite a while.. I usually tend to play them until the strings start to die or break.. The strings don't need to be changed that often really. I never clean my strings. Thanks so much for your comment. I hope that helps ☺
same as cameron, ive never cleaned strings and i havent broken a string in at least 10 years.i use whatever is cheap that fits my style,d,adarios, ernie balls or whatever.
What Seymour Duncans do you have in your Candy Blue Charvel?
awesome gear Cam! I'm curious on your opinion of the evh 5150 overdrive pedal vs. Catalinbread SFT... I'm currently running a marshall code 25 but looking to trade for a Yamaha THR10. I'm curious in adding a pedal with multiple effects if possible and a wah by Xotic
Brian Hester You'll be surprised I've actually never tried the EVH overdrive or the Catalinbread Sft so I wouldn't be sure if you'd even need one if you're gonna buy a THR10. The Yamahas however to tolerate modulation effects and wahs really well but not distortions because that's not what they are really designed for. If you want to use a multi-fx pedal I would have said it was pretty redundant because the effects in the Yamaha are already great and if you download the free THR10 editing software, it's a key to another tonal dimension. I'd only recommend a multi-fx pedal if you are buying the bigger THR100. I bet that's really fun!! I hope that helps
Cameron Cooper thanks for the info! I'm def going to try out the Yamaha soon
How do you pay for all that stuff?, THATS AWESOME BRO!
Love those pedals
+Siem Hendriks Time, patience and luck is how I pay. I also have very generous parents who have bought things for me since I was very young. Thanks dude :)
So nice of him to show settings on amp lol
I just wish I could afford a decent amp lol.
Did you ever get that amp yet?
Hi Cameron! I really like your amp tone, but if you hadn't this amp, which distortion pedal do you use for reply this tone ? (sorry for my English) 😀 thanks a lot! Bye!
Gabriele Milani Hi. I actually don't own a distortion pedal and I have no idea which one I'd choose. I don't see a need for a distortion pedal with all of the Rock amps on the market. I'd just look for another amp
Ok thank so much friend and keep it up! 😉 bye!
What pickups are in candy?
Sorry can maybe I missed it are you using a distortion or overdrive or just amp gain?? Also what picks do you prefer brother?
Ok scratch the pick question I see you answers someone below me the jazz 3 xl good to know cuz I’m using it too and I like the sharp edge wasn’t sure if you would like that does it give you any trouble strumming chords? Obviously not cuz you’re great but just curious cuz I was using tortex.88 then the jazz version of it which was a little sharper but same thickness but I like the thicker pick for grip
the charvel with the tone zone, does it sound really dark in the charvel? I have the Ibanez rg655 with a tone zone in the bridge and it's super dark. just checking
+Brian Jewell It doesn't sound dark, I would have said that it sounds warm, but not as warm as any of the charvels with Seymour Duncans humbuckers. Thanks for commenting :)
Cool video, but and the Yamaha THR? (sorry my english im spanish) ;)
+Fred Gómez I skipped the Yamahas as I have already done a lot of videos on them but nevertheless they are still part of my rig :)
+Cameron Cooper ah ok Thanks for this video ;)
Cameron, why do u have to crank the lows so much on the channels? Cuz of the slant cab?
Not really to be honest I hadn't thought about that. I just like have a really nice fat tone. Fully enough I don't use that setting anymore. I personally enjoy tweaking with the mids to get a good tone ☺
Do you put the wah pedal in front the amp or in the effects loop? Do you put the delay and chorus in front of the amp or in the effects loop? What would be the order the delay pedal first then the chorus?
Wah and chorus go in the loop. Wah goes at the start of the chain.
Delay goes in the loop. I say in the video
Cam, You don't need any pedals!!!!!! c'mon!!!
Thanks for the Video. Jammin as always!
~Perfect7
Thanks man I really appreciate that. These pedals rarely see the light of day these days :)
Hey cameron. What distortion you use dude . You just use the amp ? Thanks bro
jeanpol casanova Hi Jean. With an EVH amp I don't really need a distortion pedal but nowadays I just use my Yamaha THR10X for everything
Sick
Who is “we”
What are the evh 5150 guitar necks like? I'm considering getting the pink one...
Watch my reviews on them. Very similar to a Charvel/strat profile with a hand rubbed oil finish. Really really smooth and easy
hey Cam great vid. do you ever visit the Rob Chapman forum? seriously dude you'd fit right in.
+Alan Ohagan I've never visited it ahah. :)
Hey cam which would be better boss ch1 digital chorus or mxr micro chorus analog
Hey Jamie, I am not sure on that one but based on other pedals I have tried from them, probably MXR
Killer setup! ESP made better Les Pauls than Gibson did, and still does depending on who you ask lol.
I know this a old video but I'm surprised I thought he was more of a recessed floyd rose player or had more guitars with that kinda floyd rose.
Yeah, dive only bridges are far more in line with what I do. I very rarely pull the bar up
i love your charvels i have a 1988 model 5 ... i named my daughter after it
your daughters name is model 5? thats funny
How much for the socks ?
How do u afford all of this
What cables do u use
Neutrik cables. You can buy them on Amazon
I have a Marshall jvm
do you do zoom lessons
Well, through Skype
@@CameronCooper well I am not very good with the computer but i am very interested what do i need to do
How on earth do you afford all this stuff at age 18?!!
+stilettos9 Its all been purchased over a very long period of time over a series of birthdays and Christmas's and with money I have earned. Practically all of the equipment was purchased secondhand (serious bargains).
Acoustic riff?
All Apologies - Nirvana
@@CameronCooper Thanks man :-D
but now?
tabs?
BadStar Music I don't use or provide any tabs. I'm sorry
Sorry man.. I was kidding. Lovely guitars. I have a few charvels myself..nothing like your collection though
the police used flanger not chorus the electric mistress I believe you can dial it in with evh flange dials left to right 1 o'clock 1 again 11 and 8
Heather Deline Ahh well not worry. Cheers for correcting me. ☺
no worries.....nice board looks much like mine I do need the tremelo though as I love Johnny Marr very underated player
Cameron Cooper Andy summers did use an old Boss CS2 👍
I'm a fender man
I have a feeling hes a slash fan....
I don't mind Slash. He hasn't really had an influence on my guitar playing though :)
Haha i was kidding dude, nice rig tho buddy! Rate the Snow White!
Wow if jake e lee and evh had a baby
