Excellent lesson! Many concepts lend themselves to Satriani's ideas on legato. Yeah, relatively simple little building blocks to get the fingers of the left hand moving and stronger. And anyone who knows the scales and the fingerboard can design their own exercises. Very inspiring! Thank you!
Damn, I can't wait till I get my new guitar so I can start jamming again!!!
Oh wow i didn't realize that you used Pariah pickups till after watching your informative vid on shred. I know Sean from Pariah he made me a pasadena 78 humbucker after I had used a JB humbucker for a long time. The Pariah gave me a more open sound and tonality which I really thought was great overall.
Alternatively, play at 0.25x and then speed it up in the settings
Just keep playing and practice what you want to play. You'll get where you want to be, just keep striving
Fantastic tips mate. Charvel fan here too.
I know that this video was well over a year ago now, but I think it's something that I've needed and didn't know it. I have cerebral palsy and have attempted to play the guitar for quite some time now. I thought I was satisfied with my capabilities until I literally couldn't play left handed anymore. My desire to play outshined my inability...I just had to relearn how to play right handed after eight years. So, I've been working on it and found my proper guitar - a Wolfgang Special - and I feel like I'm actually on my way to playing - in spite of my wheelchair. Thank you so much for teaching others!
You're an inspiration Natalie! Carry on what you're doing, you are doing so well and have achieved so much and will achieve so much more! Thank you so much for the kind words. The world needs more kind and strong people like you. You're the best!
Cam
@@CameronCooper thanks, Cam! I don’t know. I think that the world needs more people like you. I mean in comparison to me, you’re a virtuoso guitarist and you could just say that somebody like me is playing wrong but this video helps me play to my strengths which is my left hand, practice at my own speed...and not many people have told me that in 30 years of trying and playing. So thank YOU 😊. Natalie
Is that a mark knopfler style steel guitar in that room ? Wow
This one message is genuinely a great view for the left-hander to realize because for some reason the right-hand fingerwork comes more dominant from the days you were learning your first chords and the southpaw picking has a struggle issue in some. I must add, with a pick, but without a pick only finger picking, everything is naturally easy...
Im glad l stumbled on this , remind me of a young phil Collin even have THE accent
Probably one of the best tutorials I’ve watched cheers mate
Chris impelleteri 35 years ago was mind boggling, Shawn lane of course... my favourite was Michael lee firkins.. not a lot of recordings of him from back in the day , but fast, creative and innovative, check him out .
A lot of people dont have a clue who Impelleteri is, to bad He was sick!...lol
You are a great player and that Orange Charvel on the back is perfection!
Guthrie Govan's words of wisdom on the laptop behind him :)
You are helping me do things I didn't think I could ever. Thank you. Someday I hope to repay you.
Your vibrato is beautiful....
It's that time again when I've started to feel my playing needs some freshening up. This is helping me do it dude, thank you! You always come up with the good 🤘
This dude is insane
commenting before watching, I love that I can see the words of wisdom with guthrie govan video open on your computer in the background
I’m just so glad Rick Astley had a musical kid.
Rick's got our back. . . and he's never gonna let us go.
Isolation just got a whole lot more interesting. Great videos! Going to spend some time on these for the coming weeks. Just what I was looking for to be honest. How much are lessons? Curious.
Excelent ! Ive been playing for 56 years , your right on the money .
How you get that tone??? That 80s tone 🤘🏻🤘🏻
This was a great lesson. I see you get a lot of sound from your hammer ons and pull off. I have been playing for 5 months. I am trying to pick up speed like this.
Just came here...
Any one else found Guthrie Govan in the background?
Thank you very much kind sir for sharing. I needed to expand my technique and always looking for helpful pro hints. Cheers
Great video. Solid advice, but why are all this mans guitars colored like easter eggs?
Thanks. My guitars are that colour because everybody else's aren't ;)
@@CameronCooper I sure hope Charvel is sending a little money your way. Your lessons are a promo for their guitars. For the price, they are good guitars.
@@rodrocketon9480 they are awesome guitars
@@CameronCooper i was looking at a kramer pacer vintage a jem jr or a charvel i think im getting the jem but im definitely going to get a charvel later
@@slippy8813 save up for the Charvel
Pearls of wisdom right here. Seriously.
I can barely do the things he's showing, simply because my fingers just cannot stretch across that many frets!
Comes with time and practice!
I ment to say yes u can grasshopper oh yes yes indeed u can.. all u do is practice practice practice.. that's what I love the most anyway.. when u practice you feel like your getting better.. once u can do it its boring.. I'd rather practice than play..
Use your pinky. This guy does do that.
Very very easy and simple for new starters 👍🏿
I'll study that for the next two months
I'll tell you if this works
It takes a while and will work differently for different people.
@@CameronCooper I know, if it doesn't work it's my fault
You are a good player and you did your job correctly ahah
Pink one in the background is awesome 👌
Does the pentatonic scale to include everyone
Are you assuming I know the pentatonic scale?
Well either way, you do now mate!
