I love how much attention you put into making the sound experience fantastic, which is the key to any good ASMR video. Still, I feel like this a different class of ASMR. You also provide us with an amazingly crisp, yet soothing video. It just looks sooo crisp. I can really tell you put quite the chunk of time (and probably money) into this video and for that I feel like the minimum I can say is thank you. I hope more people land on your videos!
Wow ... this was so meditative to watch. I love that there is no distracting background music. Just the sound of the moment by moment experience. Talk about being present... this is it. Please make lots more!! this is so therapeutic and relaxing to watch
I might do a little setup video in future then. I use a Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4K camera in combination with a metabones speed booster and some really old vintage lenses. I have 1 main led panel light that I bounce off a white card for diffusion, and a window with a white diffusion blind. It’s a super simple setup and I keep the colour grade equally simple for a bit of a nude look. I put links in the description for the various bits and pieces I use, and I have a video coming up (when I finally get time to edit it!) of me cleaning my lens collection, so you’ll get to see the lenses I use then. 😊
Why are you sorting the coffee beans ? And why are you putting some of them apart ? Was it more for ASMR purpose or do you do this sorting (in a faster way) on a regular basis ?
I was just going through looking for defects or small beans before roasting, and then after roasting I go through and look for any quakers, the those stubborn beans that don’t darken properly. They can really sour a cup. That said, I definitely don’t go through my coffee this thoroughly on the regular haha. I usually just push the beans around after the roast with my fingers for a few seconds and look for the light ones, kinda like looking for a specific piece of lego in a box full of Lego, and I never look for defects before the roast. That was definitely for the ASMR. 🤣
Also, I roast every Friday for the following week. I roast 200g (roasted weight), which gives me roughly 2 cups a day for the week days. The Ikawa roasts in batches of 50g, so I do a few batches to get there. It’s actually a really comforting routine. The sound of the roaster purring away and the smell of the roasting coffee always puts me in a good mood.
I love coffee, I'm totally addicted to coffee, and I found this video interesting, it made me want to have breakfast café lol, this video relaxed me a lot ❤☕
It’s called the Niche Zero and I honestly can’t praise it enough. This thing is a beautifully engineered single dose grinder with surprising close to zero retention. I would definitely recommend you check out James Hoffman’s review here: ua-cam.com/video/FzOY2tHyZ4w/v-deo.html
Just came a crossed you’re video and you did 💯 fantastic please make more like this not sure if you have but I’m following now and checking out you’re playlist. Thank you so much you put a lot of work into this video and it shows
i don’t know if you’ve shown your face before or are trying to hide it but we can see it in some of the reflections of like the canisters that hold the beans
haha, nice spot. Not shown my face in videos before, but not hiding either. I'm sure I'll end up in the videos at some point when I pick up the channel again (hopefully very soon!).
Well damn this is like a $10,000 cup of coffee at least with all that equipment. Plus the cameras. I wanna be rich and make side money filming my morning coffee too
@@synthmeat thanks man! Really super appreciated, I saw a significant bump in subs and views over the past day as a result! I’m planning on making another this weekend, definitely is encouraging to hear the videos are working and being enjoyed!
I really like coffee Asmr, this version was excruciatingly slow though. I put it on the fastest mode on 2 but that was like normal pase since the movements were so slow to begin with. The steaming sound was too harsh, it could have been edited to softer.
I know you should, but I'm not always that patient. If I happen to have coffee left from the previous batch to last a few days, then great. If not, I just accept the first day or two may be a little bumpy before the coffee settles. Still, even if it's only 24 hours, I find home roast coffee to be better than anything commercial I've bought, even the good stuff from small roasters (and I live in London, so I'm fairly spoilt for choice when it comes to artisan coffee roasters). I think that comes from a combination of being able to dial in the roast exactly to my preference, being able to buy exceptional beans that would not usually make commercial sense for a roaster, and having the satisfaction of owning the roast experience. If you're really into coffee, I'd strongly recommend the Ikawa roaster, it changed my coffee experience quite dramatically.
why would you not cut out the ridiculously loud errors you make? You sound balancing is already too low so you have to listen on high volume and then youre just dropping stuff that ends up being deafening. At least listen back to your content and make sure you're balancing is right and cut out the errors. you only have to mute the video for a second if you dont want to edit the transition in
Love the tea ceremony vibes to this. Idk why, but visual anticipation is a big part of asmr for me, and this absolutely nails it!

Watching straight from Brazil. So glad you enjoy our beans! Thanks for the excellent video!

Thought I was watching a 100k+ sub channel with this quality. Style is unique too. Good luck with it all.

One of the better ASMR videos out there, great work
I can appreciate the work you put into this! Also nice tingles! Keep up the good work :)

It just started and i love thisss!
Awwwsome. So incredibly calming... I love it!
I'm gonna make it an effort to listen to this on the daily as I brew and drink my coffee, also that coffee at the end? Perfect, you know your stuff.
Ehh... 24 hours of degassing for freshly roasted coffee? I don’t think so.
@@mark030531 yes. It’s often recommended to let coffee rest 7-10 days after lasting before using.
@@NachaBeez I know, but 24 hours isn't 7-10 days.
I love this !!! Very high quality video !

I really want to know more about the setup with the camera and light for videos like this. I have watched many food videos but this is truly amazing.

brilliant
Love the ASMR. But it is making me laugh how infuriatingly slow it would be to wait for you to make me a cup of coffee! :P

coffee zen (:
What was the point of going through the beans at the begining??????? And what was the distinctive traits. Of the ones you pulled out???????
I really thought you were gonna make a really light roasted coffee. You're the first one I see roasting his own beans 😅
Watching this 2 years later and now I am really frustrated when that singular coffee bean just said nah I refuse to go in. 9:36
God did the blender scare me
🤣
Well. I feel ignorant. That is probably the first time I have seen unroasted coffee beans.
Why are those beans beige? (Edit) Wait, you have a home roaster. That blew my mind.
Some Brazilian coffee beans are a bit lighter than the usual ones, here in Brazil we have a vast selection of beans 🤗
Nice
The sorting coffee bean kinda boring cuz it’s too long. If you don’t want to skip it, you should zoom in the sorting scene
Top demais
It did not take long back in the to clean a bag of stems and seeds, Holly shit
