"This technique is called 'petting the cat', since both of the kajitt in the skooma den don't have a high enough responsibility to report you. Plus they purr and snore as you pick pocket them. You can also do this on the adoring fan. That technique is referred to as 'I've got something in my front pocket why don't you see what it is?'"
We actually ended up using the adoring fan for the 100% run for this purpose because it is annoying trying to break into the skooma den without getting reported.
This is a much better option than Shadowmere as long as the quest hasn't been completed, thanks for pointing this out! Hatefiend on our discord pointed out that Er-Teeus is the easiest NPC to push into a corner of rocks to farm using this location. Thanks!
btw for people who dont know, the Peryite shrine is at the corner of the Silverfish River in between the lower right Nibenay Basin and the top right Nibenay Valley. Near lake Canulus.
This isn't the best idea if your game is unstable. Every time you hit them, you get an unreported assault crime which, although never reported, can crash the game if you get too many. To fix this, hit a guard, pay 40 gold for that assault, and the entire unreported list is cleared.
It's the amulet of disintegration, you get it from the khajiiti lady in Crucible who's trying to survive the 'end of the world'. The apocalypse never comes :(
@@ilovemykitties84 It disintegrates armor and weapon 10,000 points. So it'll wipe out any durability of anything equipped (maybe minus the shield if you have a two handed weapon or a bow).
Update: I've been trying to find a way to improve the light armor/heavy armor/block method, and it appears that the Bruma barracks in the castle have 10+ guards at night that will deal significantly faster hits than the rats do. The only downside is they are more likely to stagger you and paralyze you, but overall this new method seems to be better if you pay close attention to your hotkeyed healing potions. So you just punch a guard, farm until all armor is broken while blocking, yield and pay the gold fine, then repair outside the castle and head back in to fight again. Update 2: Forgot to add this until now, but Hatefiend on our discord discovered that if you have a shield and weapon drawn but do not block with them, you'll still get the light/heavy armor exp every hit depending on the type of shield, and the shield will never take damage, so you won't have to repair ever. You don't even need to be wearing any other armor. The only downside to this is that you can't get block exp at the same time like with the gauntlet method in the video, so this new strat is mainly useful if you don't need block exp.
I have found a fast light and heavy armor training I went with a shield for whicherver type and a sword to have the shield out and it just levels fast. The shield does not degrade unless you block allowing for infinite training so long as you can heal. Update sheathing your weapon will prevent disarm and still let tge shield act as the armor class leveling of chioce.
I will try investigating this in few days, but if the destruction and conjuration spells counting as an assault is an issue, it should be possible to make an alternative spell that is set to self. I am most likely wrong because I over looked something, but I will report back over the weekend if I come up with a spell that can be cast infinite. Edit: by that I mean the "spell school" is on self, obviously it still needs a touch component for fast casting.
@@Lex_Araden Regardless of spell school, as long as one effect that triggers the assault is in the spell, it still angers NPCs. A simple way to confirm this is by reversing the spell effect order so that the fortify magicka is first, and makes the spell a restoration spell. Having turn undead or damage fatigue on self still angers NPCs.
@@PRCLive That was not what I meant. What I was talking about was making the destruction or conjuration spell target self rather than touch and having another effect to add the touch effects. I will need to check this tomorrow, but I think it is possible to have 3 or 4 effects and still have it infinite cast, I will be starting my testing of that tomorrow. For example: Fire Damage x pt self Heal x pt self Light 3 pts on touch Fortify Magic 21 pts for 2 secs self It is likely that I am overestimating the effect of Fortify Magic or missing some other detail on it, but I will look into it tomorrow and report back.
@@PRCLive So it turns out that if you have an agro causing effect, even if that effect is on self, it will still cause agro. I will continue to experiment, but my original idea was a dead end.

This is my first time making this type of video, so let me know what you all think! Also, let me know if there is any interest in making a video series explaining how the 100% run works. - Ben S.
Honestly this is one of the best, most all inclusive guides on youtube, especially on gaming UA-cam. It is repetitive but I believe, as you intended, it makes it a more useful guide; as anybody can bookmark it and come back to it whenever they need for whatever specific skill they want to grind. I often find in many guides I need to jump around and search in videos to find pieces of knowledge. This has no such issue; every part acts as it's own complete guide. It is also incredibly clear. 10/10 - This is Efficiency Scrolls
@@TheKjsdfg told him exactly that u can't find well made guides like this even for Skyrim I'm not even a speedruner and i almost 100% the game bc of this guide he truly deserve more subs
I'm just glad someone is still making videos for Oblivion. I played Morrowind in '04 and got super into it. When Oblivion came out, I thought they dumbed it down. When Skyrim came out the Attribute system was gone; so very dumbed down. Going back to play Morrowind again, I realize how poorly it aged. Morrowind has it's Alchemy exploit and is a game that steers the player to use enchanted items. Skyrim has it's Alchemy/Enchant exploit and steers the player to be a Archer. Oblivion has it's dupe glitch but it's harder to build superman. Thanks for making these videos, I think I'll subscribe.
Great video. Informative without filler. Another method to farming acrobatics is using a basket. Place it in the corner of a room, jump on top of it and slowly move to the edge away from the corner. You'll very slightly sink when you reach the edge. If done right, when the jump button is pressed you'll lose stamina but won't actually move. The jump button can be spammed as fast as possible to gain xp with pretty much a 0 frame delay.
You've earned a permanent sub just for the oblivion 100% run on its own, anything else is just icing on the cake. It would be awesome to see more from this channel!
Hey man I've been getting back into oblivion for the nostalgia and I forgot how much I love this game. Thanks for this video. You did a good job and it's straight to the point and saved me a bunch of time!
I know this is an “old” video but rather then using shadowmere you can you use prior maberols horse after the amulet of kings is stolen I hope this helps anyone who may see this and either not wanting to start a dark brotherhood or not far enough in
I remember leveling everything to 100 on my first character just by playing nonstop. It was a wonderful year. Also, you can afk sneak in that first round room at the college, there are multiple npcs there, so just jump behind the counter that is up against the wall, squat, and pin your direction down. You can't walk out of the spot, you can't really be noticed, and you can just leave to do other things for like an hour instead of pushing buttons.
Thanks for the vid. I was trying to get light/heavy armor and block done but couldn't think of a place to do it at. If you have the dlc houses you can use "The Wizard's Tower" to make spells, "Dunbarrow Cove" to do security (once the place is up graded you will find a chest that you can spam lock picks on), and "Deepscorn Hollow" for almost anything that you need someone who will not die or attack you (once you get it, buy the cattle pen. There will now be a sleeping prisoner who won't die, unless you use an enchanted item. I was able to get all weapon skills, spells that need a target, and sneak done on this guy).
Trust me on this, go to the house in Skingrad with the Everscamp Staff. Don't talk to the homeowner, instead put it on the highest difficulty and trigger the 4 scamps. After you kill them, they respawn and there is always 4 of them. Avoid damaging the homeowner, don't talk to her and don't steal anything, so no bounty is set against you. Free leveling. That was my controlled leveling house lol
Definitely earned a sub, this is the most comprehensive and straight forward video about Oblivion skill farming! Thank you so much for the work you put into this!
I hate farming skills in my playthroughs as I have a unique and strange method that, I bet, only really works for me. That said, I watched this video for more info on how skills grow and I was not disappointed. Very nice video and I loved the time-stamp method of making sure everyone found what they were looking for. You have a knack for explanations. :)
For alteration I prefer casting a very easy open lock spell on a very hard lock and you will get the skill exp for opening a very hard lock and you can spam it and wait an hour to re gain magika amazing vid btw
I honestly noticed the same. I just used Unwelcomed guest in a fit of rage after an easy lock broke like 10 lockpicks when my security was so high. I eventually learned that the Sekelton Key is a life saver.
By far one of the best guides I've seen for Oblivion in many years of playing. This is one of the oldest tricks in the book with sneak leveling: The sneak leveling can also be done on the tutorial mission (while escaping the prison) while exploring through the cave tunnels. The first time you enter a cave... (after the guards and the emperor decide not to take you with them through the door, and you are forced to enter the cave through the hole in the wall) HOW TO DO IT: There is a fixed scenario after a minute or so of the first cave running where three rats are being chased by a zombie. You want to kill the zombie and the one rat that should attack you (wait for the rat to attack you so that you accidentaly don't kill the one of two passive rats). Turn around and go back (chase the two scenario rats) to the cave level where the two scenario rats start running about (the mentioned cave level should be right behind you). They tend to run in circles and are programmed to be passive (they will not attack you). Just go in to the corner next to the rats while in sneak stance and keep moving forward until your sneak is at max (this does take some time, but I think it should be faster than the mentioned method?) Has anyone got any info if this is faster?
I have an exact answer to this using timing data from our 100% run. Sneaking undetected regardless of number of enemies you are sneaking near requires a total of 3.78 hours to max it out according to UESP (link below), and doing the pickpocket method described in this video took roughly an 1.2 hours to do it the required 5,103 pickpockets, making it significantly faster, albeit more tedious. If you just want the most passive setup that requires not having to actively play, the rats are a good setup if you haven't already completed the tutorial though. Here is the UESP article about skill increases: en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Increasing_Skills
Once you get 100 in alchemy, make a Chamaeleon potion (The ones I make are 36% for two minutes). Then dupe glitch them to about 700 potions. Go to Miscarcand (or anywhere with dread zombies) and then turn the difficulty slider high enough so that the dread zombie’s regeneration out paces your damage. Drink enough potions to turn 100% invisible with Chamaeleon affect. Whale on dread zombie. You can train any kind of attack skill. If you train on a dread zombie in the second room of Miscarcand, just make sure you periodically revisit the first room every now and then, or the room will reset and the metal gate will trap you forever...........🙃
Armorer is the first skill I master in every single playthrough of Oblivion. It's the easiest skill to master. I don't understand how anyone completes all the quests without maxing out Armorer since you need to repair your weapons and armor constantly to keep them at full strength. The hardest skills to max out without skill books and training sessions are Mercantile and Athletics. I've never even come close to mastering these without training and books, and I spend the first 15-20 levels just raiding Marauder and Bandit dungeons and selling off everything to get money for training and houses. Also, you should spam Blade, Blunt, H2H, and Destruction on the frozen NPC followers at the Peryite Shrine. There are 5 of them, and they can each take a ton of damage before falling down, where they will get back up and start recharging health as you switch your attack to the next NPC. Or you can use a convalescence spell and just keep hitting the same one. And that way you won't have to complete the entire Dark Brotherhood quest to get Shadowmere.
"how to speed run leveling in oblivion every speed running strat for leveling in a short amazingly informative video" Seriously this video deserves so much credit helped me alot in replying oblivion , I was a teenager last time I played it XD. Not to ramble on but it's quests are so unique this would be the best elder Scrolls so far to remaster and finally patch XD . Your channel and this game are underated big time!
I found that armor can continue to train if one of your peices is enchanted with a Shield Spell. The game things it still has an Armor Value and it will give you XP for the hit.
Worth noting that AFK sneak is easy to pull off in the attic of the house where you drop the minotaur head on the guy for the Dark Brotherhood. While not as fast as pickpocket spamming, it's still fast enough to deserve a mention as an alternate
There's also the fact that you can grind Sneak by simply running into the wall right where the stool is in the imperial prison cell you start the game in right before Valen Dreth begins to taunt you.
I don’t know if you intended this, or if Oblivion is seriously just that funny of a game, but I cackled on several occasions watching this. Particularly the athletics segment. Thanks for the deadpan deliveries dude 😂
If you don't need to raise mercantile and speechcraft for your levelling, there isn't any advantages to maxing them out. Once you can make your own spells, you can make a charm100 spell or a reinforce mercantile100 with short duration and use that instead. One of the first quests in the mages guild questline teaches you that you don't need to be pretty or talk good, you can just charm people with magic. So that's what I do.
My personal fav way of farming any low level weapon skill is to mount a horse while hidden, travel to the other side of the map out in the wilderness, dismount and start attacking the thing. They have a fair bit of health to withstand low level attacks for a while and they never agro, just slowly walk back to where you took them from.
For leveling up block and both armor skills, I've found that the fastest way is actually in the tutorial dungeon. You can round up to 11-12 rats at the same time and if you lower the difficulty all the way down, you don't even need any potions (Heal minor wounds spell will suffice every 5-10 seconds or so). In my last playthrough I managed to get both armor skills to 100 ridiculously quickly and Block to 75 (it's much slower and therefore I got bored at that point) which is quite hilarious considering you haven't even finished your character build by that point in the game. There is also an additional (small) perk to doing it there as those rats don't carry any diseases (for those wanting to keep the diseases contracted stat line at 0). The obvious downside is screwing your leveling progression, so this is best applied if you're doing an under leveling run (which is exactly what I did).
This is a great idea as long as you can repair your armor. I know there is a repair hammer in the chest by the goblin shaman, but you'd have to be able to dupe the repair hammer to fix your armor, which requires either being on version 1.0 of the game and using the arrow duping method, or somehow finding two copies of the same scroll to dupe in the 1.2 version of the game, which I'm not sure exist in the tutorial. What method are you using to get more repair hammers?
Wait I just remembered a piece of tech that circumvents this. If you are wearing a shield and you don't have the shield out, you can still gain exp for the light/heavy armor skill even if all your other armor breaks, since you are still wearing a valid piece of unbroken armor, and the rats can't hit it if you don't have it pulled out to block with. That way you never have to actually repair anything.
@@PRCLive This playthrough was almost 5 years ago, so I don't remember all the details, but I definitely used both shields and I think I repaired a couple pieces of equipment a couple times by saving before using the hammer, getting in a couple successful strikes (or reloading in the case of a failure) then saving again and rinse and repeat. But it mustn't have been that bad or I would probably still remember. I think I first mostly used barehanded blocking and after that skill was at 50, the issue of repairing equipment was solved due to the "unbreakable" shields.
I don't know if this has been posted around here, but there's a way to speed up the grinding of Mercantile. If you play the game on a 4:3 resolution, the pop-up menu in which you have to confirm the transaction will show up overlapping your menu. That way you don't have to move the cursor as long as you're selling of which you have only one or two.
That's a brilliant strategy, now if only we could eliminate having to slide the sell count to 1 every time, we'd have a fully automatable way of farming it.
@@PRCLive Completely clean out an ingredients trader, dump all your stuff in a chest and only leave 2 of every single item. Sell all through the mentioned method, then buy it all back.
@@DrZaius3141 This is a really good optimization! I was spamming up arrow key, left click, and enter on the top inventory spot when buying/selling to navigate the UI to confirm the purchase autonomously and it seems to be much quicker and less tedious, although this will still inevitably take a really long time to max out. Thanks for the great idea!
I didnt realize you could trick the spell target validation like that. I'll have you know my evil argonian atronach is now doing this at the top of a sigil tower, harnessing the power of an anchor beam. Atronach + max lvl Escutcheon of Chorrol & Ring of Sorcery = 101 spell absorption. Every time you touch the beam it casts a damage health on you. UNLIMITED POWER!
When it comes to blade, blunt, marksman and hand to hand, I like to go to the Shrine of Peryite, pin Er-Teeus in between the rocks behind him and go to town. Each hit counts as an assault, but you don't get a bounty.
Wish I would have known it was assault before I decided to wail on them and train each of my attacking skills at least 5 levels each. And then going into some random city and wondering why the guards are wanting me arrested as soon as I talk to them. My bounty was 1050 gold and I had no idea why. I do now.
conjured creatures are the fastest way to level hand to hand, specially with the xivilai sorcerer, somehow he gets in the ground everytime i hit him, but be sure to do it far away of people, one day i tried it in the city, i killed two important NPC´s for missions and somehow get a bounty of 1000 septims for my head
I used to level my blade on the cattle in deepscorn, while doing that hot key repair hammers and repair them as I was grinding blade, but probably give this a try
Also, there is a great master level lock with 3 walls around you next to the prison. It is immediately to the right as soon as you go to the prison. You open a gate and can sneak up to the door with little to no chance of being caught.
I used to do "tricks" like this in my Morrowind and Oblivion days when they were current games. But now, in 2024, after nearly 6000 combined hours across Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, I just save myself the hassle and console command things. Why block a bunch of rats for 45min when I can player.advskill block 50? It's just about respecting my own time. That being said, very cool and thorough guide. Some of these strategies were even new to an old dog like me.
I have considered making a Lego mechanism, that just turns the turning motion of a leogo motor or a slowly falling object into clicks. It should be very easy, but I haven't found any very good use for it yet.
For archery and other hit enemy based kills, can use the regenerating scamps from staff gotten in leyawin, even after the quest is complete they keep regenerating.
There’s a much less tedious strat for armorer if you have the shivering isles DLC. First you need to talk to the Khajiit lady in crucible who runs the general store. You’ll know you’re talking to the right one when she’s telling you that the world is going to end. Accept her quest to retrieve 3 items for her, don’t bother with the other two and don’t finish the quest, just get the item located in a dungeon called the amulet of disintegration, then craft a spell that fortifies your armorer skill by 100 for one second, hot key a single repair hammer (it won’t break as long as you use it while your armorer skill is at 100 so you don’t have to dupe it). Then collect a full set of the highest health armor you can get at your level. Once all that is in place, put on the amulet and it will completely break one random piece of armor or shield as well as the weapon you have equipped. Make sure your equipped armor or weapon is not enchanted unless you have the journeyman perk that allows you to repair enchanted items. Keep equiping and unequiping the amulet since it’ll only break one armor piece and one weapon at a time. Be sure to periodically unequip broken armor or weapons so that the amulet actually destroys the healthy gear instead of applying disintegrate to an already broken piece of gear, once all your gear is broken, cast the fortify armorer spell on yourself and press the hot key you assigned the repair hammer to. As long as you have your armorer at 100, the hammer won’t break, so just spam repair and fix all of it up. Once that’s done, repeat the process with the amulet to break all your armor and then cast the spell and repair it all again. It’s easily the fastest and most convenient way to do it. No dupes and no waiting for your Magica to regenerate. Plus that 100 armorer spell is great if you just want to rush to the journeyman perk at 50 to repair enchanted stuff instead of 100 to make hammers unbreakable.
I love how maxing out alchemy just means making a fuckload of cheesy tomato soup for hours on end while standing on a random street in the Imperial City lmao
I’ve done it too.... took 2 hours to get 75 and i just stopped there. if you’re going for an all stealth character, you can get to 75 and make sneak a major skill and it’ll add 25 making it 100. thats what i did
I haven't even played oblivion so idk why I'm watching this. However I will say, that's funny that shadowmere is a skill leveling tactic in both games, I didn't know he was in oblivion as well.
Jumping into the punching bag the yellow champion is training on in the arena till you start slow falling does the same thing, I am so proud of myself for finding this on my own. Might work even better than the basket method although you will fall off the bag and have to do a regular jump every once in a while. Every input counts doing this method.
For people who absolutely need to get that merchantile skill up, i suggest the mod Toggleable Quantity Prompt - Updated. It allows you to hold control to sell 1 item at a time from a stack. Dupe 25k scrolls, hold control and click 25k to sell it all one by one. I also reccommend using a macro to do this while having nothing but the scrolls in your inventory so you can safely afk without the risk of selling something actually valuable. I know this video doesn't use macros or mods but I find outsmarting the game to be more interesting than just console commands or cheats.
For heavy armor and light armor and block you can go to anvil and do the tats in the basement quest for fighters guild and just don’t complete it till everything is leveled
How to grind restoration: Go to the temple in Choral (not Weyon priory), buy minor respite which restores stamina, jam a plastic fork or something into the keyboard so it casts infinitly by itself. Minor respite is like 5 mana or something i cant remember. You can cast it with full stamina and it will still give you xp. Restoration is the slowest and most tedious magic to grind.
If you open up the debug view for skills, you'll see that you don't actually train acrobatics as fast as you can jump in most cases. I've found the best place to actually level for each key press is on a sloped surface - there's a good barrel in the Bravil mages guild. Also, you don't need to be underwater to get the faster athletics training, so you don't need water breathing.
If you use a standard xbox/playstation controller for farming speechcraft it significantly speeds it up as you just have to spin the joystick as fast as possible while button mashing. There shouldn't be a cursor when using the persuasion menu with a controller which means you no longer have to worry about making sure you press the right thing.
That is true, and also mercantile is slightly less awful on console because you can use the bumpers to select a quantity of 1 out of a stack, so the menuing is easier.
Sneak: Vilverin (the first Ayleid Ruin you see when exiting the tutorial dungeon) near the end where the six buttons on the pillars are. Don't press the buttons, simply crouch in a corner near one of the doors that open and rest your move button on something so that you keep moving and Sneak will just go up and up and you don't have to do anything. Takes a while, so just go for a walk or something.
For Sneak I always went into the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary and on the stairs in the hallway with the rat, I'd rubber band my controller and let it level to 100 with my nose in a corner lol
I found a good way for Marksman skill. If you cast a summon skeleton spell and then hit on skeleton by the arrow, then you can actually pick these up so you won’t have to waste on arrows afterwards for training. Keep in mind that it doesn’t matter which bow and arrows you’re using on when doing marksman training.
This method of Marksman training will also help raise a conjuration skill at the same time by little bit. You can actually cast any type of skeleton spell that you’ll like to cast on. This applies the same as any type of ghosts that you’ll like to cast on when doing Marksman Training. Hope this helps! 😊
Idk why I find this so interesting, I have no desire to do any of this in game and haven’t played in years. But these videos are always on my watch later to watch at work
For block and both armors, just visit the house in Skingrad with the Everscamp Staff. Don't talk to her and accept the quest, just set the difficulty to max, attack all 4 scamps and back yourself into a corner with your shield raised. Easier and you can control your leveling this way. That house acted as my xp growth hub 😂
I'm glad you included a clip from the stream with my name 'NukaKappa' in the chat. Seriously though this video is super well put together and flows great, also 14cps is insane
It may not be faster, but back in the day i found the best way to level security was to get the skeleton key from the Daedric quest and find a very hard lock. pick the first 4 pins and back out to reset the lock. rinse and repeat till max. I think your way is faster, but if people cant figure out the dupe glitch its a decent alternative
There's also a bunch of rats in the cellar of Arvena's House in Anvil, provided you or the cougar didn't kill them during the quest. Just take the quest from the Fighter's Guild in Anvil, go down into the basement, kill the cougar, and then punch each of the rats once (be careful not to one-shot them), or cast some non-damaging spell like damage fatigue or drain mana. They'll start attacking you and you won't get any bounties. You can leave and then come back again later.
That's a decent alternative, especially if someone is trying to avoid getting a bounty for whatever reason and cant farm hits off the bruma guard barracks.

If you dont have shadowmere, you can grind combat skills from the frozen npcs at the shrine of peryite.

This isn't the best idea if your game is unstable. Every time you hit them, you get an unreported assault crime which, although never reported, can crash the game if you get too many.
To fix this, hit a guard, pay 40 gold for that assault, and the entire unreported list is cleared.
You can raise your armorer skill as well doing this.
How do you farm it without killing them?
This will now be refered to as "the sacred texts" when referring to oblivion power leveling,
*Me when I explain things to people irl*
Me: First, you'll need acess to the Arcane University, you'll also need a dagger.
theres also another way to farm armorer, the shivering isles DLC has an amulet that breaks your armor when you equip it
If it breaks it completely then that's no good because you can't repair armour with 0 durability. At least not at low level
Nope, nevermind. I was wrong about that
@@joshjones1054 it doesnt break it all the way i think its like 20%
It's the amulet of disintegration, you get it from the khajiiti lady in Crucible who's trying to survive the 'end of the world'.
For example:
Fire Damage x pt self
Heal x pt self
Light 3 pts on touch
Fortify Magic 21 pts for 2 secs self
It is likely that I am overestimating the effect of Fortify Magic or missing some other detail on it, but I will look into it tomorrow and report back.
@@PRCLive So it turns out that if you have an agro causing effect, even if that effect is on self, it will still cause agro. I will continue to experiment, but my original idea was a dead end.

The jump button can be spammed as fast as possible to gain xp with pretty much a 0 frame delay.
a demonstrative video to illustrate the point? 😔
You've earned a permanent sub just for the oblivion 100% run on its own, anything else is just icing on the cake. It would be awesome to see more from this channel!

Very helpful video.
To farm sneak I just ran into a wall in the main room at cloud ruler temple for a while, I figured that was the easiest way.
This needs more views, absolutely incredible
I was wondering if there was a video composed of every single skill grind method. This is the Quintessential Guide
I did that with prior maborels horse early in the game lol
I did that to barus right after the emperor was killed. Before even leaving the tutorial I already had maxed out stealth
Great vid! Something to reference when I get back to Oblivion.
I love how half the skills are "don't grind this"
Definitely earned a sub, this is the most comprehensive and straight forward video about Oblivion skill farming!
Great video! I'm glad to see Oblivion still getting love after all these years :)
This is by far the most profesional oblivion video I’ve seen.
“Seems like there’s a killer about ..”
(after the guards and the emperor decide not to take you with them through the door, and you are forced to enter the cave through the hole in the wall)
HOW TO DO IT:
There is a fixed scenario after a minute or so of the first cave running where three rats are being chased by a zombie.
Just go in to the corner next to the rats while in sneak stance and keep moving forward until your sneak is at max (this does take some time, but I think it should be faster than the mentioned method?)
Has anyone got any info if this is faster?
I have an exact answer to this using timing data from our 100% run. Sneaking undetected regardless of number of enemies you are sneaking near requires a total of 3.78 hours to max it out according to UESP (link below), and doing the pickpocket method described in this video took roughly an 1.2 hours to do it the required 5,103 pickpockets, making it significantly faster, albeit more tedious. If you just want the most passive setup that requires not having to actively play, the rats are a good setup if you haven't already completed the tutorial though.
Here is the UESP article about skill increases:

@@PRCLive cheers man, can't wait for more uploads!
Ok so this dope glitch, is it possible on a console?

I like your explanations. Not like a scientific book or just simply saying so without specifics, but necessary info. Thnx
Damn, your char has a nice documented history of decades of inbreed 💪🙏
"how to speed run leveling in oblivion every speed running strat for leveling in a short amazingly informative video"
Seriously this video deserves so much credit helped me alot in replying oblivion , I was a teenager last time I played it XD. Not to ramble on but it's quests are so unique this would be the best elder Scrolls so far to remaster and finally patch XD . Your channel and this game are underated big time!
You made every oblivion-player's life a whole lot easier, thank you ❤
I found that armor can continue to train if one of your peices is enchanted with a Shield Spell.
"Thanks, kind stranger."

I don’t know if you intended this, or if Oblivion is seriously just that funny of a game, but I cackled on several occasions watching this. Particularly the athletics segment. Thanks for the deadpan deliveries dude 😂
Sitting in a chair while taking damage in brumas barracks prevents you from moving around while training armor skills.
Alternate title for this video: 21 ways that Oblivion is broken.
Still love the game.
This video is literally a treasure. Good work dude.
If only this were released 14 years ago.
It took my brain a second to realize the title wasn’t sayin there is a farming skill in oblivion ...
Having a torch equipped while magic farming allows for the same cast time and better movement than blocking with a dagger
I do now.
This is something I didn't know I needed but I'm glad I found it.
conjured creatures are the fastest way to level hand to hand, specially with the xivilai sorcerer, somehow he gets in the ground everytime i hit him, but be sure to do it far away of people, one day i tried it in the city, i killed two important NPC´s for missions and somehow get a bounty of 1000 septims for my head
The two skilles I cared most about and the idea was just "They are horrible to pick. Just train them" :)
I used to level my blade on the cattle in deepscorn, while doing that hot key repair hammers and repair them as I was grinding blade, but probably give this a try
Also, there is a great master level lock with 3 walls around you next to the prison. It is immediately to the right as soon as you go to the prison. You open a gate and can sneak up to the door with little to no chance of being caught.
this was extremely well put together. thank you.
In the thieves den add on there's a chest that can not be opened by using the dup glitch on lockpicks you can grind out the security skill on that
I used to do "tricks" like this in my Morrowind and Oblivion days when they were current games.
This info is great. If you want to grind light/heavy armor without repairing just use a shield without blocking
33:40 for sneak, I've found I can press tab immediately after pressing space bar to speed things up a bit
Nice find, that does slightly speed it up once you get used to the timing.
I have considered making a Lego mechanism, that just turns the turning motion of a leogo motor or a slowly falling object into clicks. It should be very easy, but I haven't found any very good use for it yet.
Fire guide, love that this was made only 7 months ago hahaha
Another good way for doing armorer is to buy the akavuri warblade katana and collect all the broken gear.
I love how maxing out alchemy just means making a fuckload of cheesy tomato soup for hours on end while standing on a random street in the Imperial City lmao
This is so awesome, pls do more Oblivion vids! My favorite single player game :)
I think it took roughly 3 hours to level my sneak up to 100 in the tutorial dungeon with those rats that don't aggro. I don't recommend doing that.
This is the most helpful video on Oblivion on UA-cam 🙂
Thought i went insane hearing the "Complete DB through purification to shadowmere" so many times in a row
For heavy armor and light armor and block you can go to anvil and do the tats in the basement quest for fighters guild and just don’t complete it till everything is leveled
bro id never imagine a farming method for athletics was just to swim for 70 hours. this game is something else
How to grind restoration:
Go to the temple in Choral (not Weyon priory), buy minor respite which restores stamina, jam a plastic fork or something into the keyboard so it casts infinitly by itself.
Minor respite is like 5 mana or something i cant remember. You can cast it with full stamina and it will still give you xp. Restoration is the slowest and most tedious magic to grind.
Time to break out the duct tape and rubber bands.
It's very useful. You even sound a bit like you did a lot of skill farming with the downward voice modulation.
@@PRCLive grinding mercantile is the reason my left bumper only works if you press it a certain way
Sneak:
Vilverin (the first Ayleid Ruin you see when exiting the tutorial dungeon) near the end where the six buttons on the pillars are.
Don't press the buttons, simply crouch in a corner near one of the doors that open and rest your move button on something so that you keep moving and Sneak will just go up and up and you don't have to do anything.
Takes a while, so just go for a walk or something.
For Sneak I always went into the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary and on the stairs in the hallway with the rat, I'd rubber band my controller and let it level to 100 with my nose in a corner lol
the spell section was so helpful THANK YOU!!
Wow I didn’t realize this game was still this popular! I just assumed this video was from a decade ago not just a year ago!
Great comprehensive guide, man. Thanks for making it!
