I found a number of issues pegs in the way of feet going down buzzy engine lack of low end pull. Burned well through roadtec 01 rear tyre it was under 3mm after 3.5k gsa is a better bike
@@thelikeablerider8800 pal i didnt mean to be cheeky. They are still a great bike the engine sounds rough at idle but i think thats just bm contrating in performance rather than smooth idle. I rode it all over scittish islands through torrential rain and hail and with my daughter on pillion. And it was like a mgic carpet ride. I toppled off at a steep junction but my sos never called me which is strange. The mpg is good for a il4 but the gs is mad its 55mpg on twisties and mid 69s cruising. I found also i needed alot of throttle imput to get a shift on but a guy on ebay did a tune on one from a hand held tuning thing and you know the high idle when cold that was gone it just sat low idle just smooth and the throttle respinse was instant so all that can be tuned out. But for £18000 it probably could be sorted before you get it. The gsa te has so many systems on it man its even got eco ride mode i think its got 7 ride modes. I've never dropped a bike. 🤥🤥🤥. 😉. The last biker I saw drop his bike was in the dealers car park after he'd just paid for it!!! It was a Ducati 💰💰💰 Crash protection is expensive until you drop the bike when it instantly pays for itself. Moinsen, Ich danke dir ganz herzlich! Ich war damals Beruf Soldat bei die Briten, und war ganz lange in Deutschland stationiert👍😜
@@thelikeablerider8800 Thanks for your answer! I just found your channel and i love it. Great! I'm going to gibraltar this year from hamburg and you are giving me nice vibes. Absoloutely my style of driving :)
You're welcome, I'm glad your enjoy the content👍
@@chrissi.cruise be sure to watch the whole series, was a real adventure! I'm off to the UK in July, first time ever on the bike (even though I'm english)🤣🤣
S1000XR /2022 👍
Does that screen work in the rain when you tour?
Well it gives some protection, but obviously less than a touring screen.
I had one identical to yours i got it new in april 22 i put 3.5k on it and then traded it in in sept for my gsa te rallye. The xr is top heavy. I found a number of issues pegs in the way of feet going down buzzy engine lack of low end pull. Burned well through roadtec 01 rear tyre it was under 3mm after 3.5k gsa is a better bike
I understand your issues, but none of them have ever bothered me if I'm honest. Will see how long it is before I get an adventure bike👍😜
I still kind of miss the smooth 4 sometimes but the gs and gsa are legends. Ride safe pal i may do europe in may hopefully gonna do spandau factory tour
@@austinmatthews347 they do sound knackered at idle, I'll get the that one, Cam chain tensioner sorts that, but once you give it some they sound amazing. I'll probably keep mine for another season, and then think about going full adventure bike👍
@@thelikeablerider8800 main pal is you ride a beema
I've never dropped a bike. 🤥🤥🤥. 😉. The last biker I saw drop his bike was in the dealers car park after he'd just paid for it!!! It was a Ducati 💰💰💰 Crash protection is expensive until you drop the bike when it instantly pays for itself. BMW SOS would be pointless in the UK as currently it takes 3 hours for an ambulance to turn up!
nooo the drop was so painfull 19:00
I hadn't noticed🤦♂️😜
impressive german dude
Have lived there for 23 years😜
Shaun I love your videos but you always play music when your booting the fook out of the bike I’d rather listen to the bike. But I’m an 57 year old grump 😂
I try to do a bit of both, I do love the sound of the XR up top, but then the fun police comments turn up!🤦♂️ I shall do my best this year to let the beemer sing👍😜
Well I’ve done similar about 4 times 😂 joys of being a midget on a GS 🫣
First of many it is then🤦♂️😆
