I love you're humour Sean very much like my own 🤣 where you picked up the wind noise from, can we have some more collaboration with Andy you pair are hilarious 😂.
Cheers Alan! Unfortunately the extra wind noise is purely down to the bike. Bikes with screens make for more noise, well perhaps small screens, and I refuse to slap a double glazed window to front.
Nice one Shaun i really enjoyed this one,it really brought back memories for me riding around the sauerland and bergischland for the scenery and roads. the state of the roads all comes from the hard winter frosts...bucking bronko times in places.. big thumbs from me Shaun.👌👍👏 Regards Glenn.
Nice ride Shaun, spent many a happy hour dodging German roadworks, it helps riding a bike when you squeeze past the road roller😆. Always plead ignorance in my 1970s school German, sometimes it works but at least the road crews find it amusing.
Cheers Ian You definitely couldn't use the "sorry m8 I didn't see the signs" they have road signs for road signs here in Germany! Saw a post online the other week that was so German. A tree had fallen but only a small small branch was hanging in the road. Instead of just cutting off the branch, and maybe clearing the rest later, they installed traffic lights which were probably there for weeks🤣🤣
Yes indeed, but with less guff weather and dug up roads! I wasn't sure if the road works in this vid, with the new road, was infact the building site we previously went up on our naked adventure bikes!
Those roads look amazing. I can’t wait for some warm dry weather for some proper riding instead of this cold, damp sh*t! A great feel good video. Thanks buddy 👍👍👍
Ahhh good old Umbleitung !! Germans love a good diversion ... pissed us off that much the other year we stopped heading down that way to go to the Alps .. the diversions sometimes were miles and miles out of our way, what's the craic with that ? These roads look fantastic that you're on just after the diversion bit ... nothing on them ... stunnin
That's why I do my very best to ride through the road works (if its on a weekend)🤣 I had absolute mare on the second to last day, that I didn't film! Probably should have, but my wonderful sense humour had fully packed up and pissed off by then🤣
Cheers Alan that's maybe something I could look at! It's quite a long winded and frustrating method. Would be much easier if Garmin actually made a decent route making software like MyRouteApp.
Oh really, I get on fairly well with mine! It's not faultless for sure, but can't say I've ever got lost. Planning routes on their party software is definitely more of a faff, but just bunging in a destination and asking for twisty roads doesn't always give you the best route. In its defence riding up east to Thüringen east of Munich was a mistake, but probably the only option, as there really wasn't any good roads. One crap day out of 8 isn't too bad I suppose🤟😎
@@thelikeablerider8800 I've no doubt it is user error but I can't help remembering I used to have an old zumo 340 and I used Tyre to Travel to create routes. I was faultless. Now the XT seems to think I have planned the route wrong and decides I need to go another way, then I need to turn round go back, only to turn round again and head in the direction I was heading anyway. I got so p!ss@d off with it by the end of day 2 I ended up importing the same route into calimoto and following that, which worked great, but I want to use the garmin. Anyway, rant over. 😂 Great vid Shaun, I enjoy your humour and choice of routes. 👍 Looking forward to the next one.
@@P6_7R_Nick admittedly it did take some getting used too! My Garmin 590 worked far better when just asking it to plan a twisty route, but the XT is far better at everything else. I've always had one, that I don't think I could get rid of it.
I get asked that a lot, but I'm not sure how it would be of benefit as the route was individual to that particular day. Maybe its something I could look into.
@TheLikeableRider be nice to know the nice roads or towns on them so can plan a trip there, went to the hartz mountains last year staying at that cowboy hotel that you visited and then went to the tobogganmoutain , lovely area
Gosh it’s like meditation, love to watch

Roll in spring, lets get back out there...
I eagerly await😜
Thanks for sharing Shaun. Awesome roads and weather, the things ot myth and legend :) And your satnav voice scares me!
This rubbish winter weather really does need to bugger off!
You basically have the roads to yourself out there pal 🤘
Yeah pretty much🤟😎

Cheers Glen! Yes Sauerland is also great to ride, just a tad busier in the summer time!
Good morning and thanks for sharing the video. The weather looks awesome there👍
I was lucky with the weather for the entire Tour, just the one morning with light rain and fog, otherwise glorious🤟😎

I have GOT to get back there on the new weapon ASAP!

Great video, cracking ride. Jealous of the roads. Like pop hole central in UK.
I am blessed with some stonkers 🤟😎

Its gotta be my favourite place to ride here, unfortunately just a tad to far from me to enjoy in a days ride.

Hi, Sean fantastic vid as always. Can you do vid showing how you plan the route and transfer it to Garmin? thanks

Waiting for part 2!
Incoming🤟😎
That looked a fantastic ride. Great video.
Cheers John, more to come🤟😎
Great Video Sean. Love the way you alternate between cameras for great footage
Thanks Ivan I'm glad you enjoy it🤟😎
Roadworks ignoring tour 2.0🤣🤣
2.0 went much soother than 1.0 with Mancam👍🤣
nice one Sean, great rides, thanks for sharing your trip, and what a weapon to do it on! can not wait to be back out on mine ;)
You and me both John! This winter weather doesn't want to get lost😩

Hi Shaun, please could you do a vid on how to do a route on the garmin xt with the my route app. Cheers
Roads look awesome out there! Can I ask what screen is on the bike please?
It's the short dark tint from Puig👍
Do a video on the routing please Shaun. I'm about to bin my XT because I get more lost using it than not. It's sh*t like.
