One is a toy and the other is a one to one simulation, how does it compare?
It's easy. Winwing works very well and provides a high level of immersion and realism. If you are not building a professional ckopit at home, Winwing will be enough, and Wingflex in such a situation is simply too expensive. And this is how you can compare both FCUs@@nansylu8800

1.Set for study sumulator costs ~10,000 USD not ~1000USD.
2. The video is intended for enthusiasts (myself included) who fly at home at a desk and only a few of us have a high-end PC due our budgets.
3. Winwing produces, things available for customers like us and the quality of the products is more than satisfactory (stunning actually!).
@@nansylu8800 for the casual airbus-family simmer you get 80% of the experience for 20% of the price. Just a question about how you stand financially and whether you really need/want the 20%.

Another win for Winwing. The difference in price is incredible and the quality of Winwing is very very good. For me that wants to have "all" of the cockpit, it's a no brainer

@@JasonOPlays I got the email 1 month ago then Evri lost it (and claimed it had been returned to WinWing as delivery was refused - Evri BS!!). Winwing finally issued a refund. No stock available to replace it, back to square one!
At that price point... I will wait for the Winwing hardware

@jip5873 true... that concers me as well. But at $899 I feel these product developers are out of sync with the market and may be trying to turn a quick profit in a short amount of time - which in return forces them to price their product high.
Looks great, but i just bought the winwing FCU so i think I’ll add the compliment of components from them once it becomes available. I debated buying the wing flex unit tho…..thanks for the review.

Thank you Gav. Very attractive unit and great to see so many more hardware add ons being developed (we are being spoiled) but given the price I will stick with my streamdeck XL, streamdeck + with flightpanels profiles. Hopefully, over time the price will reduce and become more of an affordable buy.
Stunning unit but I just don’t get who there target audience is coming in at that crazy price. Yes maybe they’ve aimed it at the home cockpit market but in reality I shouldn’t think there’s a long queue of people with deep pockets for that sort of thing especially when there’s some really good competition coming at a much more affordable “but still fairly expensive” price _ I’m also guessing they have took a chance at the price and only made a few units to see how it goes, hence wanting the unit back

With the coming of Winwing mainstream products these producers have to watch their backs... I own the Winwing FCU and I'm really happy with it so I'm waiting for their EFIS also.

This looks great. The price will exclude a bunch of enthusiasts, but I can't fault the pricing for lack of quality either. It's like buying an expensive car - nothing wrong with it, just purely out of most people's budget.
I think this one is DOA, that price is just astronomical and unrealistic in these times when Winwing has stepped in to the market. There is just no good reason to spend 3 times more to buy this one over the Winwing.

I have the WIndwing and I like it but it's execution is "clunky" - even using the interface, I can't always get it to work correctly. Indeed this unit is expensive but, the Plug & Play option is valuable, let alone the authenticity on the physical unit. I just might pull the trigger.
I hope its product is better than their website!
my choice will be miniEFIS for minicockpit
I have a feeling this is more aimed at the home cockpit market, rather than the more casual pilot. With the pricetag, and the fact that the pull action on the switches which, while nice and realistic, lend themselves to a more permanent and secured placement in a cockpit setup. The desktop stand means you need some backwards leverage on the unit, or you can't pull the switch out.
@@glennog actually I did find the unit was solid and weighty enough not to struggle with this.

If WinWing didn’t release the FCU and are going to release other parts I’d be interested in this, but as it is after having the FCU I’ll be picking up their EFIS shortly and other parts.

100% Wait for WinWing. the resistance and click of the real A320 FCU give you confidence.. the spongy type of dials just dont cut it. Closest for that is a MiniCockpit FCU, almost a perfect match on the dials/pull/push just a pitty its sub-scale.
Do UK customers have to add Import Duty as well ?

So in other words, the Chinese are still number one.
So about twice as expensive as the WinWing FCU and EFIS’s. In other words I could buy the Boeing MCP and EFIS’s AND the Airbus FCU and EFIS’s for slightly more than what this unit costs alone!
I have the WinWing FCU which is equally easy to use, solidly built and looks just as good.
This unit at its current price evokes zero interest from me.
Where are they based? Cannot see any address on there website. Will have to add on delivery and import tax no doubt.

Hmm, they’re a bit late to the party. If I hadn’t already bought the WinWing FCU I may have considered it but would be pointless now. May as well just wait for the WinWing EFIS.
Hello, I have a problem with A320 fenix:
It is difficult for the aircraft to move forward on the ground, for example at the end of the trailer with the engines on or with engine 1 I apply power and it does not move forward, the power must be applied to climb to move forward and thus the speed increases a lot and when lowered the power at idle reduces the ground speed to 0 knots, at the end of the taxi the ECAM gives me a Breake hot error, this error occurred before takeoff, during the flight and after landing, the same thing happens with the taxi When I arrived at the destination, the first time it happened to me I was making a flight to Lima from Santiago de Chile, first the EFB navigraph did not have me registered and I had the navigraph account connected to the EFB, after which it made it very difficult for the plane to move forward At first the pushback did not advance backwards, only to the sides, I tried the internet connection and it worked for me, then the plane did not advance with both engines, I had to apply power until climb to make it advance, then the power increased a lot like 16 knots, then I reduced power to idle and it was reduced to 0 knots, at the end of the taxi out the ECAM warned me of Breake hot, I had to return with a lot of effort to the door, since I applied Breake Fan and the temperature did not I was going down, the flight was cancelled, I have had the problem since then, approximately a week until the date the message was written, on a round trip landing in Lima when landing I activated the brakes on the tpr pendular pedals approximately up to 16 knots, however the speed was reduced to 0 knots anyway, what can I do about it?

@@Easyjetsimpilot Apparently, the input from the pendular rudders pedals is being taken by the plane as the Brake input and that causes the Brake hot warning, although even without pedals the plane has difficulty advancing with throttle power below Climb. What can I do? What to do to solve this, what won't let me fly?

Aerosoft left the channel
As soon as I saw “Aerosoft” I knew it would be ridiculously expensive.
Their products are ALWAYS overpriced and they have a nasty habit of not supporting much of their software. E.g the CRJ. Nothing has been done to fix the problems of knobs in the cockpit and there are no plans to fix it.
I now avoid Aerosoft wherever possible.
I assume this is a commercial B2B product, aimed at flight schools, training facilities and 'sim experiences'. £800 for the average sim user is out of reach unfortunately.
I would suggest to winwing that I see no point in having a right and left working side...i.e pilot and co pilot....I would wait for Win wings offering as their FCU1 is excellent and is modular. So, why just not make it with a left hand side operational and a dummy for the right. That product looks great but I would think winwing will beat it on price when released. Especially if they only made one side operational and a dummy...
I believe the idea to having both sides is for a full cockpit setup, whom this market is targeting.
@@Easyjetsimpilot Fair enough Gavin.. but really, not sure in a sim World having two sides fully operational is worth the extra cost...Surely most average simmers would only use one side and it could opens it up to a wider set of customers.. Just my opinion thanks for the great video again.
Sorry, but the light shining through the plastic bothers me and doesn't look realistic. If the plastic of the switch were thicker, it wouldn't shine through.

As am ex airbus captain, this looks great but for the life of me WHY do you want both captain and first officers side!!! Unless your flight sim guys fly together!
The product is aimed at full home cockpit setups and training schools, so both sides would be used by their target market (plus as you know, for some approaches, the CAPT and FO displays need to showing certain things, so easy to select.

I lost interest as soon as you mentioned $900 for the unit.
In today's world when recession is ON, jobs are few, inflation is high, buying such pleasures at such high costs are nothing but a sin.
That's my personal and honest opinion. There might be many who could still spend such monies to turn and click few buttons, i somehow cant.
