KL787 is the correct callsign, mate. I went on KL789 in 2019 from EHAM (AMS) to TNCM (SXM) in real life!

Wdym KLM787 is a perfectly fine and real callsign. The callsign doesnt refer to the type of plane otherwise there would be hundreds of “KLMA330”s lmao

Was just at Schipol last week! Nice airport & KLM was awesome. I had a tight connection time and after literally sprinting to my next flight I got to the gate and they had JUST closed the doors. The staff were nice and told me how I could get on the next flight but then the phone rang at the desk and the KLM staff lady answered. Next thing she is telling me “the captain saw you running so he is letting you on the plane!”

The A330 is actually one of the smoothest landing aircraft as not only does It have its oil/pneumatic suspension on the landing gear, but also has integrated into its tilted gear design compression cylinder almost acting like a doubled up suspension.
I have been on a A330 once was the roughest landing i have experienced
@@pilsplease7561 The smoothness of a landing always depends on weather conditions and pilot experience. Note however, that sometimes a rougher landing is a safer landing (especially in heavy winds).
as a vatsim ground controller at schiphol it is nice to see my home field, sad that i missed you but a nice landing and a great video.

Not sure about the 30 40 20 call outs all within 2 seconds.
Pilots land with a positive descent rate for a reason. You don't want your autospoilers to deploy while you float back up.

Way softer than any landing I have ever experienced while flying into this airport. The first time was in a 757 before they had lengthened the runway. Pilot put it down "firm" and the braking with reverse thrust made the whole thing an awesome ride.

I thought so too, but strangely you can see AP is still engaged immediately following it, so I'm not sure why that tone went off
hey, i found your channel in 2021 so a little late to the FSX party, but I got the sim in november of 21', and you inspired me to start flying on VATSIM, and in FSX multiplayer. I found Mr. Bales server, (idk if you remember that but i still talk to him and he has some old videos of flying with you on his channel) and I fly military with him somtimes and also provide ATC on his server. 2 years after joining VATSIM i achived my S1 in ZBW. I recently got a new computer so i can run fs2020 on medium settings, and i guess i just want say thanks for introducing me and so many others to this amazing hobby! see you in the skies! (also fly FSX again for the birthday of the channel whenever that is)

The KLM callsign really made me think that it was a 787 for a second. But no, it's an a330 i believe.
I was also confused for a while 'cause that doesn't look anything like a 787, and that cockpit is very Airbus. Still took me half the video to realise it

love the videos as usual. I'd be really interested to see a full, unedited flight... just to see how it goes. I don't have any flight equipment or the MSFS software so I probably will never get to fly any of these planes, but I'd love to sit back and chill for an hour or two or however long one of your flights are and enjoy the views with you at the helm.
Just as an FYI! You can. Get the Series S for $300 and a full flight stick and power for another $100. So $400 for a full beginner setup! Well worth it if you can afford it! 😊 That’s where I started and it is an excellent experience!

I stayed at the Sonesta Resort in SXM and had a killer view of the runway. KLM 330 was the only big girl I saw come in while we were there but it was awesome sitting in the pool drinking margaritas watching planes. When the wind was calm and a couple guys decided to rip it and depart 28 instead of 10 that made the ole arm hairs stand up.

For a future flight I would love to see you try out the new freeware Horizon Sim 787-9 and do like a flight from Asia to the USA or the something like that.
They recently updated to version 1.0.1 with fixes which makes the plane handle much better at rotation and touchdown. perfectly working VNAV and LNAV and simbrief integration aswell.

I have really enjoyed everything that you offered so far, from controlling on FSX Multiplayer and having hot air balloons do verticals and fly at 400 knots, flying with your friends on FSX Multiplayer and MSFS multiplayer and finally, flying real world routes on VATSIM.
However, I have a question for you. Will you, at some point, try out the ATR 42/72-600 series of aircraft that got released a while back for MSFS? It also contains, by default, liveries of Silver Airways, which is an airline from your home state of Florida. :) :D

Welcome to the forest of airspaces that is the Netherlands. DutchVACC is often one of the busiest parts of the VATSIM network.
Just a request. Can you please do a flight to/from EGAA/BFS?
It rarely gets noticed and if it does, its for an inflight emergency and its a great wee airport and has an RAF aldergrove that the USAF and the RAF uses every now and again, beside runway 35.
Got my first flight out of EGAA in a week or so, very excited!

Nice job though. That approach is sketchy even under the best conditions. I had a tower sim on that island a few years back and always had to hold onto something when those heavies would come in for landing. Just have to hope you nail it so you don't yeet yourself off the far end of the runway. Love the vids.
Anyway, consider our bread buttered.
Btw your anti ice doesnt need to be on in cruise. The wing anti ice is only turned on when ice is visible on the wing. And no need to turn it on alleays when entering the clouds, only if the temperature is below a certain temp
