Oh yes. I'm at a point, where I'm either ignoring or blocking all channels that do the rapid fire delivery thing. It makes my brain feel so overloaded, it's almost physically painful.
best recent sub, honestly. as an immunobiochemist it feels so good that you explain physiology and anatomy without mixing facts, while translating it to the vernacular. ty for making the beautiful effort of educating others properly 🌟
I have joint hypermobility disorder and learning this lesson has been the #1 thing that's helped me be active without constant pain and frequent injury. I focus on mobility training and limit passive stretching.
UA-cam recommended your channel earlier this week and I’m so very thankful I clicked. I’ve been doing yoga with Another guide for the past 3-4 years and I’ve noticed that I haven’t grown in my practice mobility-wise and flexibility-wise, etc. in the past year or so. Well, I’ve started with you this week and wow! You’ve presented more lovely challenges to me and helped me discover even more room for growth within my practice 😊 Thank you, Kate Amber! I look forward to practicing more with you via YT ❤❤❤❤
I don't even do yoga, but your videos are very informative. I should definitely try adding it to my routine but i live in the sticks so id have to do it on my own. My hips are constantly stiff and it runs down my legs so my tenndons snap over my knees as i walk.
Yes she IS the best, but you really need to do the stuff she teaches, she can only teach WE need to do the Action and learning ❤ (Not saying you dont Just wanted to say this) BC many people say good teachings ect but dont do a single class of her. This Woman helped me so much. I dont know how I can ever thank her.
You actually control that passive ROM, using your hamstring you can bring it back through extension, but your hip flexors would be tapped out. So it's only partial lack of control
I have the mobility of a 90 years old and I wonder why I pull muscles after weightlifting...😢 Full-time office work is not the healthiest thing for our body
I just tested this with my legs and realized I have no gap? Like I can put my leg behind my head without using my hands. It can just go up there on its own
So that explains why I can't do the standing split even tho I can do the front split. I need to work on my mobility more. Thank you for the tip!
Such a great point!! This is exactly right. Mobility likes standing splits takes more strength than floor splits 👍
How refreshing to see a video with normal audio speed. Thank you! Informative, interesting and well-presented.

Awesome explanation!
Another one i like is:
Mobility = strength + flexibility
LOVE this equation.
this equation becomes Stability:))) Strength + flexibility
This was the BEST description of the distinction between the two I have ever heard 👏🏻
That's a high honor! Thank you!
@@KateAmberYoga Yw! 😊
As a PTA, this is the best explanation I've ever heard of this concept!
best recent sub, honestly. as an immunobiochemist it feels so good that you explain physiology and anatomy without mixing facts, while translating it to the vernacular.
ty for making the beautiful effort of educating others properly 🌟
They’re the same for me. Meaning i’m stiff as a log and i can’t move it much myself either. 😂
I have joint hypermobility disorder and learning this lesson has been the #1 thing that's helped me be active without constant pain and frequent injury. I focus on mobility training and limit passive stretching.
Love this breakdown, exactly the kind of nuanced explanation I needed
Best explanation I ever hear! I have little mobility
So glad I recently found you 🤍 those explanations are everything. I love it.
So glad they resonate!
This is legitimately one of the most informative videos I have ever watched on UA-cam
So glad it was helpful!

How do we close the gap?
Thank you!! How do we increase our Mobility? O:
Hadn't considered this before.
Thanks.
That's a good mindset to have while I practice
This seems self evident in hindsight, but I needed this explanation. Thank you!
Definitely not self-evident but definitely an ah-ha once learned. Those are my favorite tips to share. :)
Thanks for the good information AGAIN Kate your a wealth of information, advice and instruction Namaste🙏
Excellent point! Thank you!🎉
Awesome, thanks for explaining the difference❤
mobility> flexibility ❤
This is mind opener. Thanks
Very well presented!
Kate, your profound knowledge always impresses me, and it never fails to bring a smile to my face because you are both expressive and funny! 😲😃😉
Oh gosh I'm almost embarrassed that I'm too expressive 🥴🥴
@@KateAmberYoga Haha, Kate, you have the right amount of expressiveness 😉😊
That was very helpful. I always thought they were synonymous.
I am working on this every day. I'm super flexible but my hip flexors need work for better mobility. You're the best Kate!😁❤️🐈⬛🐶🐈🐾
We're working on it together! It takes strength to be flexible!!
What a great explanation! Thank you!
Good point. I was thinking about strength.
😍Perfect 💞
Thank you Kate ! You have all the above !
Thank you!! Every aspiring dancer, plz note
Dancers are NEXT LEVEL!
Really good point. Also I love your voice
Awesome. I tend to do 30 mins of mobility before yoga. For a complete session!
This is so smart!
I don't even do yoga, but your videos are very informative. I should definitely try adding it to my routine but i live in the sticks so id have to do it on my own. My hips are constantly stiff and it runs down my legs so my tenndons snap over my knees as i walk.
That was truly informative, thank you!
Excellent. Thank you
This explains ao much, how do we improve our mobility?
Thanks for explaining.. never thought about it
Well explained and demo
Thank you for the advice 👍🏽❤️
As someone with hypermobility, I’m really not sure I should close that gap 🤔
Yeah, yoga is super hard for me without pushing my body too far and subluxing something 💀
Thank you x
Very good way to differentiate
I had to watch it 3 times to understand the message, I save it just in case I forget..
Amazing teachings ❤

This is a very descriptive and clear explanation thanks!
I'm glad it resonated!
You’re so pretty 🥺🌸
Thanks ❤
STOP YOUR MAKING ME DROOL 😩

Awesome! I share lots of learny things!
Thankyou for the information ❤
Your so Awesome
Wish u had
Yoga classes on u Tube
Thx for all u wonderful Info 🙏
Explains why, as my mobility has worsened, so has my ability to put my own socks on!
Thats a unique perspective...thx 4 sharing! (subbed 4 more 🤙)
I need to work on both 😂
You actually control that passive ROM, using your hamstring you can bring it back through extension, but your hip flexors would be tapped out. So it's only partial lack of control
I didn't know that, thank you!
Best explanation yet
Wow thank you for this explanation ❤
Good to know.
Thanks for this explanation ❤
Cool !
You missed the "stay flexy" from @movementbydavid
Thanks stranger, lesson learned.
🫡
Great explanation
Very interesting info!!!!!
Superb ❤❤❤
Very Interesting
Thank you
Thank you.
Thanks pretty White 🤗💃🤗
Thanks
"STAY FLEXY"
I love her so much
That was very helpful. Im very flexible but novwhere near as mobike as i'd like to be.
I had to rewatch and draw a diagram to get the concept. Good info, but a lot of details.
Now I know and thanks God none of them apply to me 😊
. . you DO have flexibility and mobility. Otherwise you wouldn't move. These apply to you :)
Thank you so much, now I understand the difference 100% ❤
🙌 that's great! Use it in your practice!
I will.
If I don’t stretch, there’s never a gap
Cool I learned something ❤
It's good!
I am. I am out of control.
❤❤.Thank you.❤.
Can you explain the difference between mobility and active flexibility?
I have the mobility of a 90 years old and I wonder why I pull muscles after weightlifting...😢
Full-time office work is not the healthiest thing for our body
Your awesome 💪
Your stunning
I just thought I was moving around in the world. JK. Great video. Love the flexibility.
All comes with practices and experiences.
Not exactly for concepts or functional terminology!
Like me doing a standing split
Mobility 📉📉📉
Think I need a bendy dancer in my life for a little bit
Great levev for me ❤❤❤❤❤
I just tested this with my legs and realized I have no gap? Like I can put my leg behind my head without using my hands. It can just go up there on its own
thanks! im a dancer and was made the most sense than anyone else explained it! now how can i improve my mobility?
This definitely applies to dancers! Build STRENGTH for greater mobility. So longers holds or heavier weights.
What is the study of this type of thing called? Kinetix kinesiology? I forgot
How did you become so flexible? My tendons are very shortened, I don't know what to do to become flexible again😢
