- In today's quick episode, I'll show you how to get inside the condemned house in Jamaica Plain and actually put it to good use! At the very least, it'll make a secure location for valuables.

Managed to fix up the inside a little and showed it off at the beginning of this episode: ua-cam.com/video/BaOa5RkAZvM/v-deo.html
When you want to get into the armory it isnt necessary to do a rug glitch. All you have to do is just move the rug into the armory and place it like normal.
Skooled Zone hey Paul I am just seen thins video. But did you know you can glich the same way thru the ground? I'll let you figure out lol, you'll be mind blown lol.
REALLY helpful videos about how you built the inside of the abandoned house and then built the "dorm" on the parking lot. I learned a lot watching your building techniques, and I was also major encouraged by watching the way you struggle sometimes to get your ideas to work...cuz I struggle a LOT. But it seems like most of the time, where there is a will there is a way.
I have also been major discouraged about how little build size the game gives me for Jamaica Plain. I had considered the idea of using the dropping-storing technique to increase my build size, but I was afraid it would crash my game whenever I went to Jamaica Plain. I was encouraged when you ran up against the size limit also, and you used the build-size-increase glitch, and it didn't crash your game. So...still cautious, but I might try this to get a decent build in Jamaica Plain.
Thanks for all you do! I'm writing this almost four years after you posted this video, but this is classic advice that will be useful forever to anyone who starts playing this game at any time now or years in the future.
Thank you so much for using the intro, it means alot
Daddy Supreme That was A Shit comment to be honest
Guys, if you can do a better intro, be my guest. But until then, be kind with the comments. Jack's intro was a gift and I never look a gift horse in the mouth.
I absolutely loved that intro, especially the music! I went back and watched it two or three times before I even started watching the video! What song is it?
Supreme You should try to show people respect no matter what, I just wanted to make a intro for a UA-cam channel I love!
Ord and Ende I forgot but thanks for liking the intro, I’ll try to figure out.
Swear he has the best voice so soothing to fall asleep to these videos 😂 it's like a nice cool guy dad voice.
The crazy flickering scenario is due to optimizations.
Basically Bethesda uses invisible "occlusion planes" a lot; whenever an object, or even a part of the landscape, is completely behind one such plane, the engine doesn't even bother trying to render it; this saves a lot of resources and allow for higher FPS. Those planes are typically inside walls, floors/ceilings, inaccessible interiors, etc, so when you enter the inaccessible places where those occlusion planes exist things around you start flickering according to where those planes are around you.
Hangman's Alley would be interesting to see if the buildings on the sides will do the same.
As always I love your vids. I noticed another Jamaica Plains secret. You may have already discovered it, but the church (I think to the east) across the street from the house that you glitched in has a cooking station that is connected to the Jamaica Plains work shop. It's interesting for the obvious reason that it is not directly connected to the settlement proper. I'm sure it was planned to be but for whatever reason it got cut. More evidence that Jamaica Plains was planned on being made larger than it turned out.
That's really interesting. Someone else mentioned that as well. It's such a small settlement area that they totally should've included the church. Oh well.
I recently got FO4 G.O.T.Y. edition so I'm new to it but have played and absolutely love all the fallout games. I just wanted to comment to thank you for the immensely informative videos. Me being new to fo4 you have helped me a TON. thank you sir and keep the vids coming 😎👌
Same here, I had never heard of all the glitches he uses and I use them all the time now. I even sent my friend this guys videos to show him cuz my friend got me into buying fallout 4 lol
The genius of this little solution is in its simplicity.
Plant all your crops on top of a roof and 1st level electric waterpump. Plants on the ground are nice but take up valuable space where its limited like the Covanet. Also they get damaged during an attack. Place a planter on a flat surface near your ground plants. Transplant as many as you can then carry the planter top of a flat roof. Need water? Place a planter box on the roof and put as many handpumps or 1st level elect pumps as can fit. They too are safe from attack. No mod needed.
Cool to get inside but I was hoping there was a secret tunnel or something, oh well 😉 Keep those videos coming, you’ve given me a lot of ways to have more fun on my builds. Thanks 😉
I love your cheerful and happy attitude. It's great.
😊
Man always love the videos you make Paul, I always learn something new
Right on Aaron!
his names also paul? cool
Paul yes it is
These videos help me so much to make my settlements look better. Thanks for them!
Lovin the Intro! sounds so cool. I'm so glad you made this as Jamaica Plains is one of my favorite settlements.
I like to use voids in my settlements to place hidden beds so that there will be enough for my settlers and not strewn all over the place. I don’t know if that causes problems or not but... that’s just what I do. Maybe a possibility for this house.
That is cool & gave me the idea to do this at the castle. At the only door in the wall, the Minuteman symbol has a space behind it that isn't glitchy. Decent size space & wall texures are mostly there.
That’s pretty awesome! I like the new intro and its nice to have a change up every now and then. I can’t wait to see what you do with the space! Keep up the great work.
Damn, that intro was slick.
This inspired me to try the same thing with the building you can't get inside of at Egrit Marina Tours and it glitches out graphically about the same way. However, your video also made me think to place a half wall inside the building with lights mounted onto it, and place that behind the boarded up windows.
So now, even though you can't technically get inside the building, it still at least looks inhabited.
Thanx for the shoutout bro! As close to stardom as I can get. and an awesome vid=great day!
😎👍
Dude you blew up lol I started watching when you was doing the stealth assain series and this is the first time I’ve watched you in a while
Thanks Jordan. Yeah, if you stared watched back when I was playing _Dishonored_ then that was a while ago. Glad to have you back.
Great and Useful Video! I have a few ideas for this place - this will be a really good Player Home! There's no way Settlers can get in there so literally everything will be empty and only for you. Great work :)
I am forever grateful that your showing videos on game console
👍
I’m thinking Hangman’s Alley. I’m going on survival so I can’t fast travel atm to check it myself.
Thanks for all the building tips! Trying for a pure survival mode but also trying to make bitchin settlements, so no mods is a must!
the new banner with all the funko's is just awesome.
👍
Thanks for the great vids a good attitude (a precious thing on the internet). So many creative workarounds for fallout.
Well, this isn't something that is inside a closed building and I'm guessing many veterans know about this already, but there is a bunch of stuff on the upper floors of diamond city on the outside portion. From an exploration, it looks like bethesda might have actually stopped a work in progress and just left it there partially completed. It was a very fun find for me. You might be able to do a bunch of parkour wall roof jumps with jet to get there or just build a power armor jet pack and boost from a nearby roof. Note that if you fly into the top of diamond city you'll auto spawn inside the diamond city cell.
Edit: Lol. literally the next video of yours I watched was about the area around and under diamond city.
Haha, cool you found it! And here's the video to get to the one _above_ Diamond City: ua-cam.com/video/nIi4LoSooCY/v-deo.html
I'm plaing the game:
Intersting what hapenig inside the block houses, and how look it?
Skooled Zone:
Hold my beer.
I know it's a stretch, but the stage room behind the screen at the starlight drive in is locked and u could get in, take loot and leave. Or if course u could just find the key and picklock it
Yeah, nice intro bro. Keep em coming.
Survival Mode method - place the square chem lab up against the wall with the little bar (faces player) pointing into the building, use the station and exit.
Make sure you push it into the wall a bit so you can grab it from the inside, turn it around and use/exist back out of the building.
Like this? ua-cam.com/video/jJ6zEqaSAeQ/v-deo.htmlm15s
I rug glitched a chair into the wall for this, just left enough sticking out to interact with it, that way you can still have your fast travel mat where you really want it.
Another little tip for you, where you aren't able to place flooring and have to use rugs, rubber mats etc to fill the gap, find a flat enough piece of ground and use a small piller to place them, if the ground is flat enough and you have the piller raised to just before it pops off the ground, the rugs will sit flush with the flooring. I discovered this during my Castle rebuild, Jamaica Plain is not the best area for doing this as most of the ground is uneven, the SW corner is the best place I've found to do it there.
What do you think of setting up a huge generator in there and that way we have lots of power but it doesn’t eat up the much needed floor space.
Thanks for this tip. I now have hidden homes here and at the ground level at Oberland Station.
I use a settlement scrapping mod on PS4 that allowed me to scrap all the junk on the porch.
I then placed the fast travel rug on a wood floor section and lined it up with the porch level.
All finished i have 2 floors with a walled furnished lower level and fenced second level that accesses a rear deck.
Sounds really cool!
Could you consider making some sort of build guide for making a little personal house inside, will never have to worry about settlers getting in. Modded or non-modded, would be cool either way
I think it is Overland station that has a little 2 story railroad shack the bottom is locked and you can use it this way too!
Indeed! ua-cam.com/video/Emv1ZfOOFdQ/v-deo.html
What amazing etiquette I belive this needs a sponsor shit
😁
There is a little shack thats in settlement boundaries that is closed off infront of echo lake lumber in far harbor
Should have subbed a long time ago...love this series!!
Well glad you to have aboard!
Keep it up man
That laugh of yours! Love it
😄
That Was Funky 😊👍
In hangman’s alley you can place water things through the brick walls to conserve space. Next time I play I’m glitching in walls to place them everywhere.
Question is, can you set turrets up behind said walls so they won’t take damage? Or could you rug glitch a seat or anything else so you could get in and out of the building?
Mr. Silver
There it is, Hangman's Alley. I knew someone would beat me to it. Snooze I looze, lol...
AndrewWasHere 82
And we have the same name. Don’t tell me that’s your favorite settlement location 😂
Mr. Silver
It may end up being one of my favs. I'm planning on going with a homeless community themed Settlement there. Very makeshift, no power, no food growing, etc...
..................................
Was just thinking, I can hide a well furnished luxury studio apartment inside the building for my character. And it won't interfere with the homeless theme...
I think the intention for the house was to use it as 'support' for walkways and structures off the ground as seen in the nearby Raider encampment at Hyde Park. Sad to say that when I use a mod to delete the house, it messes up my gfx shaders throughout the game.
Love your fo4 content wish I could build like you lol.
Very cool intro love your vids thanks for taking the time to help out our game play and even brighten up our day thanks
👊
So you can basically make the equivalent of a Skyrim merchant chest for yourself, to protect your loot from sneaky Settlers....
Usually I just threw a random couch on the front porch, in front of the dirt pile, and just used it as a rest area of sorts.
Jamaica Plain is one of those settlements, like Hangman's Alley, where I'll build upward. Usually I add some shack flooring to the second, broken floor, and also a staircase to the higher roof in the middle where I'll place the Fast Travel Target. It gives a nice commanding view during Settlement attacks.
Yes indeed. That's exactly what I recorded yesterday as part of the next video (except for the couch part). =)
Hey Paul keep up the good work with fallout 4 no mods shop class and assassin's creed Origins and in general keep up the good work
Thanks and will do!
Skooled Zone your welcome
Love that intro
Can you fast travel into any of the apartments at Hangman's alley? I play survival so I never fast travel, always like seeing what happens when you fast travel. Thanks for video
BRILLIANT!
well that's one way to do it but the much easier and more repeatable way is to use the power armor Repair Station I rug glitch the power armor repair station and just got into a piece of power armor and boom teleported but you do have to leave a piece of the power armor station poking out. you can also do it with pole glitching it down into the ground you get underneath the ground as well you can also do it the Vault 88 is hilarious that do it in Vault 88 if you do it in the generator room you'll see there's a power running underneath the room.
In sanctuary I built a bed in one of the ruined houses and it's a nice spot to have a nice den away from MARCY.
Well that isn't to glitchy. But very interesting to see where you can go with the rug glitch.
Love the intro & you paul *no homo* and you are my favorite youtuber
Paul, I used your method last night to get inside the buildings at the edges of Hangman's Alley! Not as cool as the inside of Jamaica Plains building, but still pretty cool. 😆
Right on 👍
Skooled Zone 💒
there was a house I've come across awhile back the door was chained on the inside and the only way i could get in was to back my power armor up to the window and exit the armor glitching into the house.
You are genius!!
Patiently waiting for the next shop class.. I hope it's 9 hours long 😂 you go Paul you sexy beast! Give us that no mod shop crack cocaine we love so much! If I had a million bucks I'd give you half I swear. Here's to a million more episodes in the series 😅😅😅
🤭👍
I kept thinking of sci-fi movies and wondering what was going to happen when you transported inside.. like maybe you would glitch yourself into some piece of furniture or something and be fused to it permanently. (I know.. waay too active an imagination.)
Haha, you might enjoy this video then: ua-cam.com/video/2jlqJE_rjCY/v-deo.html
I tried this on the inaccessible building in the Echo Lake Lumber settlement in Far Harbour DLC. Its a single story building and I think I'll use it to hide my stuff inside. I wasn't able to just walk out the walls like you did in the Jamaica Plains house though. Great vid btw thx and hope they continue.
Very cool, Shaun. Have you tried the new method I came up with? ua-cam.com/video/jJ6zEqaSAeQ/v-deo.htmlm15s
I prefer the power armor glitch to get through walls. Little tricky at times but allows to do outside of settlements.
Great video, reminded me of a glitched wall I found where you can walk through it both ways. I’ll try and find it again so I can say exactly where but it seems like something that could be interestingly exploited for a settlement
Have you seen this video? ua-cam.com/video/2jlqJE_rjCY/v-deo.html
Yeah it was like this but not in an interior cell so I was able to walk long distances without fighting any enemies on the way to new areas
love your channel
👊
Intro is cool and its good to mix things up once in a while, even better that a follower made it for you and you used it thats total respect.... anyway my question is how do you unlock all the signage and make your own signs?
Do you have the DLCs?
I know this is an old video but I really liked that Intro for a change
Not like I dislike the others though!
Man you should have your own radio station.
Haha, thanks bro 😄
vt 07 Why is that so accurate?? That would be awesome if he did something like that. It wouldn’t be a bad job either
@@SkooledZone watching your video is kinda satisfying, maybe making common gameplay vid also suits you
English isn’t my first language tho :)
Haha funny banner love this channel
😁
Awesome intro song 👍🏼
bruv , yur creative af !
Hey, I used tilde disable and got rid of it, really great dirty area for the plantation...
Go to Egret Tours! Has that one big building there
Jonathan Belcher on all my playthru that’s my players home. I do let settlers stay there at all, it’s way a for me to get way from npc. After I do the speech check on that women that never leaves, I open console and disable her. I know no mod channel , that place is cool with red wave mod
On pc with mods a lot of these houses like this especially the lumber mill on far harbor you can just scrap the plywood door and have a normal room, no glitchy walls or anything. Makes you wonder why bethesda didnt just open them up in the first place
Because allowing access to all houses makes the play area too big and sparse. The closed houses are there to make the play area feel bigger without adding a lot of repetitive spaces for the player to get bored exploring
Genius
Is there MORE than one
way to go into buildings
u suppose not to enter?
I know one w/powersuit.
But, like more options. :)
You could just rugglitch a seat or chair in with the front looking inside the house and the back barely sticking out of the outer wall. so you dont have to fasttravel every time you want to get in. I build my secret hide out in such "unusable" space like this. built a base with no windows (so you dont see the f*ed up outside view) and rugglitched it in completly.
Found an ever cooler way. Check it out at the beginning of this video: ua-cam.com/video/jJ6zEqaSAeQ/v-deo.html
Awesome Intro!!! I like it!!! So since you can build inside can you build turrets and will they fire through the walls?? We can see through the walls and walk through them to get out but can a turrets fire through them??? Great Video Buddy.....Until Next Time!!!
That's a good question since the walls there are like one-way mirrors. My Jamaica Plain settlement never gets attacked so it would be hard to test it out but someone else might see this comment and find a way to test it.
Didn't like the intro to be honest but cool a fan made it ☺
Great quick vid, I'm sure it takes a lot longer to make than what we see. Thank you for your dedication. Question, hope you can help, just moved from pc to xbox one, console which is better for the family environment. However I noticed that the concrete build options have not appeared on the vanilla game. What is this, loved to build with concrete now I'm stuck with the shack foundations. Any ideas? Have reverted to mods, but no concrete parts here either.
You may just need to reinstall the various DLCs. For example, the concrete pieces come from the Wasteland Workshop add-on.
Love the intro keep using it
Nice
I used a chair to get in it also works with crafting bench
your intro is gonna give me an epileptic fit but the content makes it fine
Wish did more with Home Plate the home in Diamond city. It had some good points.
There are so many restrictions on what you can build in Home Plate, but I _am_ actually working on a build there that I might show off soon. Stay tuned! :)
You know that you could just pick up the mat in build mode and walk towards the wall and when you can't see it place it down
Awesome channel.
Fast travel matt
Is g-g-g-g--g, g, genius!!
I found out you can also rug glitch a crafting workbench half-exposed in the house to get inside.
Yup, check it out: ua-cam.com/video/jJ6zEqaSAeQ/v-deo.htmlm15s
Mind Blowing. I wonder if it'll work with other places or will the game just crash
Well, I did do it here and it didn't crash :) ua-cam.com/video/2jlqJE_rjCY/v-deo.html
Bring back the old intro
3:43 I scrap the whole house an I had that slope there. An couldn’t put house there or crop, so just revert back to old save. It sucks I can use that house for settlers. Their water under the parking space area also, one saw it after the area load fast enough.
Knowing Bethesda, I feel a plate glitch coming
Can you use a glitch to build the vaulttek peices to build a subterranian area?
Lol that intro
he did good
Using the rug glitch at the castle means you don’t really need minutemen except for the main story then...
It kills me that they didn't include the church in the Jamaica Plain settlement. The first thing I would do is get a sniper/lookout and or a few turrets up there.
I know right? And what's weird is that the cooking station in the church is actually hooked up to the settlement.
I know this is a no mods zone, but does anyone know if there's a mod that opens this building up to be built in like a regular settlement without all this jankyness?
So kinda a dumb question do the fast travel mats work in survival too I saw a post but it didnt really answer my question
I don't play on survival but I've been told all fast travel is disabled.
Oh i will test it and see but I think it is disabled
When I got into the Minuteman armoury with a glitch I broke the game and had to load an earlier save. Still gamers have to try this stuff. ;p
I'm taking my first shit of the day watching this.
I'm late on this video, I have a settlement in mind where you can glitch the fast travel mat inside a closed off building. I'm sure someone beat me to it.
