Heya, about to check that out. :) Love the videos. I never heard this talked about, so I figured I'd mention it. On pc I have found that the rug glitch on a generator has a range limit. The true wire glitch doesn't however. So if I attach generator to a connector and keep it within about 30ft or so it will stay connected. But if I love it out of it the wire disappears. Great videos!
@@michaelgoff9527 The conduits do radiate power in a 2x2 grid. But with wires, they also carry power to other conduits further away that can radiate power. That way you don't have to keep building more and more generators. And also some items require a direct connection to a wire. Hope that helps.
I've been playing 4 for years, but after finally deciding to really get into settlement building with the recent update, your videos have been the most informative for me! Thank you!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again here: yours are the very best Fallout build videos around. Your explanations, editing, and general friendliness are tremendous!! Superb work, notable in both quality and content.
I just started watching your videos and I’ve been playing fallout for a years now and never wanted to build because I was never good at it but watching your videos has helped so so much!!!! Thank you for all the tips and tricks and small history lessons!!😁
Man, I know not all people like Fallout 4, but the fact still remains, for these many videos to be created solely for building settlements is truly amazing! Loving Fallout 4 so far! Thank you for these tutorials. You must really enjoyed playing this game. Amazing settlements, here I come!
I just started playing FO4. I've owned it since it came out and all it's DLC. After 400 hours into Starfield I figure I would try out FO4. It might go down as my personal favorite game ever. It has so much and so many cool things. I do think its better than Starfield and I love Starfield.
Greetings! Thankyou for the great class, Skooled Zone! I've learned how to use the rug glitch for decorations, but since it doesn't work for building components (for me), I had never thought of trying it with things like generators. Now I'm off to do my homework...! ;)
Paul, have you found a way to pillar glitch through flooring? I've added roofs and floors to my Sanctuary Hills houses (thank you) but I'm trying add walls inside to replace missing ones, but the pillar and ladders won't sink below.
Oh my, this was so awesome helpful for me, cant even tell. Thanks for resurrect my obsession for FO4 Settlement building. Over 2000h ingame, and no ending. =)
It says what dlc the items are from in the top right section of said items space in the hud. The gear is vault-tec workshop, bottle is nuka-world, fishing boat is far-harbor, wrench is contraptions, and I think it's a deathclaw head for wasteland workshop
That real wire glitch is really cool. I'm going to use that in my new settlement I have been working on. Your building skills have improved mine. Thank you!
was legit really surprised at using the sign, that's possibly one of the most surprising things i've seen you do. You have some awesome commitment man!
Thanks for explaining this. I used a variant of it to wire Sunshine Tidings. I started with putting a generator and recruitment beacon on the roof of the big building with the workbench. Wires are all high above, and out of the way.
Skooled Zone Unfortunately I don't have any of the DLC, so no pillars=no pillar glitch. But, I did discover that the spiked poles can be used for similar effect. They seem to be limited to outdoors, or at least an area without a roof. I use them to even out fences, or to sink buildings that are on uneven ground.
I've seen other videos on this sort of thing but nobody else bothered to explain what, how, or why it works. You, sir, are truly a Master Builder. No double decker couches for you!
Great tip! I have used this to help wire up a couple settlements. I used to have my wiring running all over and messy. I tried to clean it up using the conduit pipes on top of buildings and such to try and hide it, but i ran into issues when things required a wire. Thanks for the help. Keep it up!
I noticed after watching this lesson and trying the glitch myself that all I need to do is select the wire before the conduit no second conduit is required. I love this lesson it has helped me so much in wiring my settlements! Thank you Paul!
Thanks Meghan. Yeah, if you can get a good angle then you don't need a second conduit to assist. Sometimes you can't get a good angle though, that's why I showed off that trick. :)
Just started playing Fallout 4 this year. Settlement building is what really got me hook. Watching your videos is like getting lessons from my big brother .... and I don't even have a big brother.
OMG. just discovered this series and i absolutely LOVE IT lol. so very helpful and user friendly, it improves my settlement knowledge with every min i watch. thank you so very much for the in depth explinations and techniques on how to apply all of these skills!! you remind me of william strife for minecraft lol, cant wait to watch the rest of these videos! thanks again and keep up the awesome work! we need more people like you on youtube!
Hey man. Just wanted to say thanks for all these. Super helpful for someone like me that resisted diving in to Fallout because of some of the complexities with placing objects.
New subscriber here. Found a link to you from a discussion in a Fallout subreddit (in case you wanna know where fans are coming from) I've gotta say, you are talented at this. It's not just the knowledge, which you do have. But videos like these CAN be a chore to get through. However, you really know how to make it interesting the whole way through and the biggest reason I subscribed is your personality. You just seem like a chill, cool guy. Funny, personable. You don't insult the viewers intelligence nor do you drag things out before getting to the point. Idk, it's like I was listening to an old friend explain it to me, if that makes sense! 22 minutes flew right on by. New, big fan. Stay cool and thank you!
The wire glitch was useful for lots of things. The Castle has a lot of wires, but with a few more conduits and the glitch, in roleplaying mode, the Sole Survivor has wires running through the place, including through “carefully drilled wire holes” so the wires can at least stay close up towards the ceilings.
Bethesda should have consulted with an electrician, or even a first year apprentice, instead of whatever *idiot savant* came up with the wiring scheme.
I recently started coming across your videos while peeking at all the fun stuff FO4 related. My settlements are much nicer without all of the power lines and I've even made my defenses more aesthetic without a loss of effectiveness. Great work.
i've never really been concerned about being able to build anything too clean or fancy, after all it is a post-apocalyptic universe, lol. but the one thing that has driven me nuts has been getting juice run cleanly and logically from the outside (where the generators tend to be) to the inside, especially since those cool electric signs that must be wired up to work. you have opened my eyes, friend, lol, thank you, thank you, thank you!
It has been my experience with the last glitch that you don't officially need to be pointing at the conduit, only making sure that it is behind the wire you are highlighting. I spent lots of time trying to get as close as I could, only to later realize that placement was the key. Keep up the lessons, they should help our building community greatly. I find that if you can firmly embrace no mod building, then modded building is a breeze. Only area of school I'm missing is the double black for manufacturing. That stuff still gives me fits. :)
You're absolutely right about the placement factor. I just figured I'd give the surefire method in the video to avoid any "it doesn't work" comments, because looking at the conduit with the reticle works 100% of the time. Know what I mean? But I'll include your point in the upcoming viewer suggested tips video. :) Also, I can totally relate about the manufacturing. That and the logic gates give us all headaches, so those lessons will definitely be included near the end of the mini-series.
I finally downloaded this game about a month or so ago n I love your videos there so educational and informative but relaxed and funny at the same time thank you
I appreciate your videos, especially your down to earth way of explaining things :D as well as even throwing in a bit of history like you did in this video.
My favorite wiring trick. Take a warehouse floorboard, place an up warehouse conduit on it. Then snap a down conduit to that. The down goes through the board and you can bring electricit into a room or out of a generator shack
I use the rug glitch to put soda machines in front of the doors at red rocket to keep settlers out of it. Thanks for showing us how to use glitches they help a lot. Last night I tried using the rug glitch with a dumpster, but the dumpster rased instead of dropping underground. I left it and used it to my advantage to make a spot to shoot from through the door way.
I know what you mean about it jumping up sometimes instead of down. I actually mention that at the end of this tip video: ua-cam.com/video/2Uk9kAyIqSo/v-deo.html
The comment on the small metal shop piece reminded me of my trick at Taffington Boathouse. In the sun window on the right side of the main building, I rug glitch two of them closer to the windows on the left and right so you can use the shops from the outside via the window.
See when I started, beforebi learned the glitches, I always put power generators on the tops of buildings I built. Then I would run connectors to the corners, and run then down the corners amd such. Worked well! Very clean.
Nice. Another wall rug that you might not think of using, is an actual wall! A vault wall to be exact. When you attach the vault wall conduit to a vault wall, you turn the wall into your "sign". I find it works best with the vault wall/floor combo piece since they snap better. This also works with the warehouse garage door, if you want a switch or whatnot on the inside. Any wall that allows you to move it with the wall conduits attached should work as well. Example: Place a vault floor piece, and snap a wall/floor piece to it. Place a vault wall conduit on the wall section. Behind the wall (the backside), place a pylon. You can't wire straight through the wall as normal (yet). Select the wall/floor piece and rotate it so that the vault wall conduit it facing the pylon without any collisions. Connect the pylon to the conduit as normal. Then, just select the wall/floor combo piece and snap it back to where you want it. The wire will now pass through the wall.
Definitely Court! In fact, I used the vault conduit in several places around Vault 42. The only problem with using the vault walls as conduits is that if there is any break in the pattern, the connection breaks too. I wanted to be able to use other kinds of floor and wall textures here and there, so I ended up having to hide pipe conduits around the back of the walls anyway. But as far as using any old walls as the "sign" with the sign glitch wiring, that's definitely a tool for the toolbox! 👍
I hear ya. I thought I'd throw that in here anyways. I mainly use it for purely vault builds. It comes in handy with knowing that the residential and maintenance (red and blue) rooms/tunnel hallways can have the vault conduits mounted to the outside flat surface rather than the interior (just to hide the wires and conduits). I can't take credit for the vault wall conduit setup, as I forgot that I had watched a video on it a few months before I "stumbled" upon it accidentially during one of my builds. Also worth mentioning is how great the concrete build set is. Another well known FO4 no-mod user showed this when the concrete first came out. Concrete walls (and most foundations that can sink into the ground), can be used to cover up various items. For instance, if I place a long conduit (the pipe looking one) on a floor so that it overhangs the floor, I can then place a concrete wall directly over it. It snaps to the floor piece as usual and the conduit looks like it just passes through the wall. Most walls would detect teh collision and not snap to the floor. But, the walls/foundations that can clip into the ground ignore most player placed objects, to a degree. Due to other collision variables, this doesn't always work how you want it to. This is especially handy when you don't want to rug glitch or group select items that are in cramped quarters. Another use for this is to place a generator, and then place a foundation directly on top of it. Hiding it similar to rug glitching it into a wall. As another side note. I'm trying to recreate a security door using the conveyor belt switches. I can't seem to find the vid for it. When done successfully, it looks awesome. It's just very time consuming and takes a lot of patience to line everything up just right. It basically has conveyor switches stacked on top of each other with a delay switch in between each switch connection. You end up with a V shaped barred door that opens either from the top or the bottom, depending on how you wired it. Looks kind of like a zipper when opening/closing. It requires a lot of space to setup, stacking floors on top of each other and lots of rugs! The person who came up with this could have benefited greatly from knowing that you can "bury" things underground.
Yeah, the concrete is super forgiving. Not just the concrete but a lot of foundations are like that. In my Vault 42 build, I buried the conduits for the entire outside patio in the floor underneath by just placing barn foundations over them. They go all the way from the missile turret to the spotlight and then back out again: ua-cam.com/video/P6n1-POCUrM/v-deo.htmlm36s I was also able to bury the entire junk car that I couldn't scrap below the barn foundations by just snapping them together over it. Pretty cool. Also, I think the UA-camr you're talking about that did the v-shaped bar door was Jug. I don't like to advertise a lot of other UA-camrs, but he's the man. As you said, that trick is very time consuming and takes a lot of patience. Probably more patience than I even have.
As much as i would love to credit that "security door" build to Jug, it wasn't him. It was someone else that had vids at the same time, like noreswapwns and eso, but, not as "famous". You might have seen the vids. I only mentioned it because you might have seen it and know what I'm talking about. I was hoping you might jog my memory for that. If you come across it, let me know. And as far as moving those inanimate objects, didn't they remove that function? I know that the beds at certain settlements can't be moved any longer. I hated that patch. I know they removed the ability to "remove" beds from settlements. I just wasn't aware how bad they nerfed that "glitch".
Knowing this before would have saved me hours and hours of time. Never knew about this glitch until you mentioned it in one of your logic gates vids. Going to have a little play around now… looks like another play through lol
I've just Restarted playing Fallout 4, so I'm kinda excused of being 4 year late :) I just wanna say big thanks, man, this video helped a lot, especially for wiring the switches to automated doors or gates in order to open/close them from the inside. Just so you know and out of sheer curiosity, about the "sign version" of the wire glitch, it wouldn't work if you use as a base the curved concrete wall. As a matter of fact if you place a sign and a conduit on it, when you try to move it along, the sign moves but the conduit won't.
You should make a power armour stand with flames power armour in the shop class and write "welding suit" above it. It could be for welding lessons for the students.
Unfortunately you can't rotate the conduits upwards to form words. That would be cool if you could. As for the welding suit idea, I like it! I'll add that to the next "classroom" I build for the black diamond lessons. 👍
I remember early in the game you could place wires through the wooden steel roof, I was so annoyed when they patched it. Thanks for these tips to help with getting around the annoying wire placement.
This has actually just given an idea or a way I could improve my sanctuary build. I originally replaced all the broken lamps along the road with new working ones.. Only Problem is the wires drooping everywhere.. However I've just realise I could probably sink a pylon right below the lamp post with a wire connected going straight through the post :) Thanks again Paul!!
Thats really cool, I just went back to the video and its pretty awesome to see where and how you have implemented the things you have shown us so far all throughout that settlement!
Watching the smoke come out of the stairs was quite amusing! Put your generators outside and stop killing the settlers. Overall, great tips, I'm improving my wireing skills.
Hey Paul, I have been over this video a few times and have been trying to use the glitch in my builds. It's strange because I use a PC and it really is a pain with trying to get the glitch to trigger to grab the wire without the normal red line that comes with it and the sparky thing that will indicate that you have gotten the actual glitch to bury the wires underground. Once that is done it's all golden. I wanted once again to say thank you for your lesson as it does encourage me to go back and dig deeper and even go deeper in the building side. I enjoy both but have found when trying to build a settlement and keep the size limits I tend to me less is more because I have a low end PC (Laptop). It's all good though. Now on to something you might like to dig deeper into. After playing through several times, I found an/a mod that allows you to see items and locked doors in color coded accents and have found many as yet undiscovered hidden bunkers within the game. for example did you know there is a bunker at the trailer court on the hills to the far west of the map and north of fort Hegan? it is as others i have found to be very well hidden in brush so you will walk right past it as I have done countless times in my adventuring in the common wealth. there are several others and i can and would be happy to offer them up but don't want to post here because I want people to learn to love the game as much as you and I do. lastly the one cheat i have used regularly console command is to jump higher so i can get up on things and get a better lay of the land. Having watched your play through on assassin's creed it makes me more than a little disappointed that Bethesda did not allow this other than using a jet pack in power armor because I don't like the power armor. it is too clunky and while it adds armor i can like you work around that with chems and ballistic weave which works fine for me ( too little of the ballistic fiber in the game though). Keep on gaming and I hope your well and reaching your goals in patreon. I once had a dream to offer videos for money on UA-cam but never had that much of a following and feel your pain when they demonetize your hard work even though it is part of the game with the sound. and under the Code 17 in the copy right laws it does allow you to use it for educational purposes. As long as you put in the disclaimer that this is a video for educational purposes you should be able to force them to pay you for the videos. They can't pick and choose which laws they like to follow. i just got tired of all the junk that went with it on my video lessons.
I don't know where else to put this but after watching some of your videos, realized you done have to start the wire glitch from the power source to.. Go from wherever to source, also. Your personal sanctuary house i believe is the only one a door will actually snap to.
in some cases you won't need wire to bridge power you can just put a conduit near the generator and it will utilize the radiated power from the generator ex. red rocket truck stop i have a generator on the top that radiates power to my lower floor and all i need is a conduit placed under the generator and one directly under that in the garage I'd like to see what you can do with that trick... that is if you haven't already. I'm way behind on your vids but i like what i see so far keep up the good work
Love your vids man. Do you have a fire extinguisher in the ship class?Another suggestion i have is if you take oil from your inventory and drop the 1 by 1. The place em in the shop class.. will look sick.. can do springs aswell and maybe even have a few radio active material containers.. those small ones you get from dropping it 1 by 1. Keep up the great vids man
I would just like to say that frankenstein is the name of the scientist. The monster is actually called “frankenstein’s monster.” Since you have given me so much building knowledge i just figured id give a little knowledge too 😉. Keep up the great work! love watching your positive attitude and great content. I hope all the best for you!
You are factually correct about that. Since the monster didn't have a name, most pop-culture references just refer to the monster as Frankenstein. Glad you're enjoying the content and keep sharing!
I recently discovered that you can hide the conduits inside the concrete walls and use the wire glitch. If the structure is already built the walls snap over the conduits. It only works with the original conduits though, for some reason the vault-tech ones won't sit on the walls. This also works with foundations as well. Also you can hide logic gates in concrete foundations as well. I recently did it for a powered door. Figured I should share this here as it might be handy for someone who is building a concrete structure and want's to keep it neat without wires running and conduits sticking out all over the place.
@@SkooledZone I did try the Wifi Glitch but it crashed my game a couple times so I decided to leave it. To be honest, the design of my place has made it quite easy to hide everything using the technique I've been using. Thanks for replying to my post by the way. I look forward to the next video.
Electricity started to be broadly generated in Australia in 1885 (when a power station was built in Sydney), but the first wired light was installed in Sydney in 1879. Just a fun fact. :D
I remenber back in the 50's I 'd visit my grandparents in West Virginia (they lived in a coal company house) my grandpa was a coal miner and the wiring was knob and tube wiring up on the ceiling all over the place' and the lights were rotary not flip like today .And yes they would drill holes into the wall to go to another room PS the house was built in the early 1900's 1902 -1903
Its 2020.... If you were born in 1959 you would be 60, so theres no way you remember visiting anybody in the 50's. Your a liar and you have been called out.
I like to place a conduit on the ground somewhere in the settlement, where it is out of the way (in some bushes, or inside some structure I won't use as much). Then I glitch wires from that to other ground-mounted conduits in the settlement, from where I wire up everything that needs power. As for generators, I like to have on visible, maybe a wind turbine (or I slip one into a vehicle to make it look like the car engine is producing the power), and then I hide the rest.
@@Openchipmunk79 Getting around to some old responses. In case you haven't seen it, here's that lighting tips video: ua-cam.com/video/fRJHTK1f4cw/v-deo.html
9:15 actually fall out takes places a few hundred years from now. (Like 2100 something) When the war starts. There tech is just stunned and based on the 50's.
the bombs fell in 2077. most games take place roughly 200 years after the bombs fell. all the tech is highly reminiscent of the cold war because thats what inspired fallout’s background. they just kinda “what if we learned the secrets to fusion and nuclear power before we advanced society.” and boom fallout
I usually just use the Wi-Fi glitch with powered switches and a fusion generator. So essentially, I have each settlement powered like home plate is. 100 power from a switch. Then I hide the generator somewhere, or have it in a warehouse somewhere.
nice work on the wires, in a lot of my settlements I'm always looking for way to make the wires look better and more integrated but I'd never thought about using the heads for the conduits so that could give me a fair number of ideas for integrating the wires into a settlement. :) Great work hun, talk to you again soon. Byee!
One basic concept that you didnt mention was that you can use carpets instead of flooring and still place other objects over the "floating" carpets as if its a regular floor
Its been ages sense I've played fallout but I still love these build channels. Great channel btw, I especially like that you don't use any mods. I haven't seen you mention this yet (then again I've only watched like 5 of your videos) but did you know if you pillar glitch a rug into the air you can attach conduits to the bottom? This is the first I've seen of the sign glitch though, now I'm curious if conduits stick to the back of them.
Paul, I have two questions, if you would like to answer them: 1. Is the Far Harbor DLC worth it? Is it worth it settlement building wise? In other words, does it add Workshop items that can be useful? 2. I think I already know the answer to this, because I think I saw it in a past video of yours: would you be able to rug glitch Workshop items out of settlement build boundaries? Thanks Paul, loving the video series so far. A lot of the stuff in this series has been helpful to me. Anyway, good luck in your future settlement-building endeavors!
Hi Crunchi (name cracks me up). 1. Yes, I think it's worth it because it adds the barn pieces (among other things). Plus, it adds a bunch of new settlements, _and_ has an adventure. But if you're missing any of the DLC, it might be more cost effective just to head to your local game store and buy a used copy of the _Game of the Year_ edition which has them all. Probably the same price as a single DLC download. 2. You can't really rug glitch items out of workshop boundaries. Maybe a couple feet if you're lucky. Anyway, glad you're enjoying the videos. Hope this helped. =)
@@SkooledZone Thanks! This does help, and I'm glad my name made you smile! Thanks again! Note: I do have all dlc, I just need Far Harbor as the last one (I got wasteland workshop about 2-4 days ago). So I'll save up and buy it. Thanks!
🙄🙄 Wait, what?! 😮😯😲😳😳😳 I just started playing Fallout 4 again recently, I have never, ever, seen anything quite like this! I have been placing so many conduits trying to caox power indoors etc. You sir have just won the internet! 🙂😃 I happened on your video about how to utilise a logic switch and have discovered all of this wiring sorcery and am agog! Subbed and and am off to binge watch the rest. My gast has never been so flabber'd 🤩 You are a legend!
If there is a hole in the floor of the second story you could bridge rugs over and and place the conduit under them and then try and move it. Haven’t done it myself but it is an idea
Another great video paul. And I will use this in my settlement. Is there a way to make it look like there is a mirror in a bathroom as there not in the building menu and i don't want to use mods?
I am wondering if there is a ceiling light which could be used as a ceiling conduit rug glitch apparatus. I will need to test this, I had never thought about it before, but if possible it could be very handy. Lots of great info, and ideas. I can't wait for more.
Well darn, I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked. I guess there just won't be a 'ceiling conduit rug glitch apparatus' to use. You can use that term if you want, although not much reason to since nothing fits the bill.
0:53 I don't know if I'd call myself an "expert" builder but I'd suggest adding the scrap-store resource duplication glitch to your curriculum. I could be wrong but I don't recall seeing it demonstrated in any of your previous video lessons. When you're in the middle of a build and running low on building supplies the duplication glitch sure beats traveling to buy shipments or scavenging the wasteland for crafting supplies.
The Insane Shecklador someone told me about this gentleman presenting the wire glitch and you know me and my wires, I just had to see what he was teaching. If he watches my vid I know it will inspire him to present thart "advanced" version to people. You know me, I just want to see people build awesome stuff!!
Skooled Zone holy crap! Senpai noticed me! Lol dude that's awesome, one of my favorite places in this world. Also, largest house in America (I'm a history fanatic).
You don't actually need to be pointing at the item for the glitch to work, you just need to be close enough to it, each item has it's own extended space value. So maybe that helps a little.
hey Paul easy way to tell what DLC an item is from, look at the symbol next to them in the menu at the bottom, vault symbol means vault tec workshop, deathclaw head means wasteland workshop, etc,
Here's an even better method to check out: ua-cam.com/video/YdaR7m4gct4/v-deo.html
The bombs fell in 2077....
Heya, about to check that out. :)
Love the videos.
Great videos!
why do you attach wires to the conduits? they have a range they transfer power
@@michaelgoff9527 The conduits do radiate power in a 2x2 grid. But with wires, they also carry power to other conduits further away that can radiate power. That way you don't have to keep building more and more generators. And also some items require a direct connection to a wire. Hope that helps.

You should have more subscribers, for me this channel is gold.
I did not know about the signs working as vertical rugs. Thanks!
I cant thank you enough, the wire glitch revolutionized my building!!!
Just started playing Fallout 4 this year. Settlement building is what really got me hook. Watching your videos is like getting lessons from my big brother .... and I don't even have a big brother.
Amazing video. Great quality, and really helpful. Thanks!
OMG. just discovered this series and i absolutely LOVE IT lol. so very helpful and user friendly, it improves my settlement knowledge with every min i watch. thank you so very much for the in depth explinations and techniques on how to apply all of these skills!! you remind me of william strife for minecraft lol, cant wait to watch the rest of these videos! thanks again and keep up the awesome work! we need more people like you on youtube!
holy christ this is amazing. Found your videos yesterday and have binging them.
Hey man. Just wanted to say thanks for all these. Super helpful for someone like me that resisted diving in to Fallout because of some of the complexities with placing objects.
It's really cool to hear that James!
I absolutely love your attitude! 🙌🙌☺️

I've gotta say, you are talented at this.
I really appreciate that man 👊 And welcome aboard!

Great work.
👍
i've never really been concerned about being able to build anything too clean or fancy, after all it is a post-apocalyptic universe, lol. but the one thing that has driven me nuts has been getting juice run cleanly and logically from the outside (where the generators tend to be) to the inside, especially since those cool electric signs that must be wired up to work. you have opened my eyes, friend, lol, thank you, thank you, thank you!
You're very welcome man! 👌
Helped a lot. I actually didn't know this. Thanks Paul!
Awesome Cole!
My favorite wiring trick. Take a warehouse floorboard, place an up warehouse conduit on it. Then snap a down conduit to that. The down goes through the board and you can bring electricit into a room or out of a generator shack
Nice. Here's another good one: ua-cam.com/video/YdaR7m4gct4/v-deo.html
I ran a power wire from the reactor room in Vault 88 to the Vault Water Purifier. Outstanding!
Awesome. Now here's an even better method to check out :) ua-cam.com/video/YdaR7m4gct4/v-deo.html
Man, lovin' your vids. Lots of good information. Thanks, keep it up,!!!!
Very clean.
I love how you change the light numbers for every episode, its a subtle thing but I always notice it!!
Nice, someone noticed! And we just hit 75 too!
Of course I noticed, its awesome!!
I'm an incredibly late comer to the Fallout franchise but I gotta thank you for all the tips! My settlements look amazing now!
Awesome! It's never too late. :)
They go all the way from the missile turret to the spotlight and then back out again: ua-cam.com/video/P6n1-POCUrM/v-deo.htmlm36s
I was also able to bury the entire junk car that I couldn't scrap below the barn foundations by just snapping them together over it.
Wait, what? This wasn't Jug's original idea? ua-cam.com/video/cIopiJqTCBk/v-deo.htmlm32s
Knowing this before would have saved me hours and hours of time. Never knew about this glitch until you mentioned it in one of your logic gates vids. Going to have a little play around now… looks like another play through lol
Nice! And once you master that, here's an even better method to check out: ua-cam.com/video/YdaR7m4gct4/v-deo.html
I've just Restarted playing Fallout 4, so I'm kinda excused of being 4 year late :)
I just wanna say big thanks, man, this video helped a lot, especially for wiring the switches to automated doors or gates in order to open/close them from the inside.
Oh and it could be cool if you made an x with power conduits above the class.
Unfortunately you can't rotate the conduits upwards to form words. That would be cool if you could. As for the welding suit idea, I like it! I'll add that to the next "classroom" I build for the black diamond lessons. 👍
I still enjoy watching these old videos theres always something i forgot about or i learn something new altogether

I remember early in the game you could place wires through the wooden steel roof, I was so annoyed when they patched it. Thanks for these tips to help with getting around the annoying wire placement.
You bet!
This has actually just given an idea or a way I could improve my sanctuary build. I originally replaced all the broken lamps along the road with new working ones.. Only Problem is the wires drooping everywhere.. However I've just realise I could probably sink a pylon right below the lamp post with a wire connected going straight through the post :)
Thanks again Paul!!
Absolutely! In fact, that's exactly what I did with the lamp post I built inside Vault 42, as well as the recruiting beacon.
Thats really cool, I just went back to the video and its pretty awesome to see where and how you have implemented the things you have shown us so far all throughout that settlement!
This is so freaking helpful. Can't wait to put this to use in my settlements (my wiring is a mess currently)!

Watching the smoke come out of the stairs was quite amusing! Put your generators outside and stop killing the settlers. Overall, great tips, I'm improving my wireing skills.
Actually here's an even better wiring trick (with no killing settlers, lol): ua-cam.com/video/O_eEipBr8as/v-deo.html
I do kind of enjoy the utilitarian look of exposed wiring buy this glitch is great to know for future building, thanks!
Thanks for making these videos, they're very helpful! I plan on putting this knowledge to use in Fallout 76!
7 years later, your vids Help me to get better 😅
Outstanding production. The best on youtube.
Wow, thanks!
I don't know where else to put this but after watching some of your videos, realized you done have to start the wire glitch from the power source to.. Go from wherever to source, also. Your personal sanctuary house i believe is the only one a door will actually snap to.
Ohhhhh this is the best! I hate the wires going everywhere in my houses! I'm going to have so much fun with these glitches!
Very cool. You'll love the "Wifi Glitch" when you get to that video. ;-)
in some cases you won't need wire to bridge power you can just put a conduit near the generator and it will utilize the radiated power from the generator ex. red rocket truck stop i have a generator on the top that radiates power to my lower floor and all i need is a conduit placed under the generator and one directly under that in the garage I'd like to see what you can do with that trick... that is if you haven't already. I'm way behind on your vids but i like what i see so far keep up the good work
Really useful, I'll have fallout in 1-2 weeks.
The small conduits are definitely from the Vault-tec workshop because you can see the silhouette of their logo in it.
Hey keep up the good work! This helps alot

Skooled Zone Yay! You just made my day!

DUDE, youre the best!!!
Nice! Also, you might want to go wireless: ua-cam.com/video/YdaR7m4gct4/v-deo.html

Love that car engine idea, Patrik. If I come across another settlement with a car I can't scrap, I'll use that and credit you for it!

There tech is just stunned and based on the 50's.
CaptainsEyePatch yes but the things we are given are used in the 1900’s
the bombs fell in 2077. most games take place roughly 200 years after the bombs fell. all the tech is highly reminiscent of the cold war because thats what inspired fallout’s background. they just kinda “what if we learned the secrets to fusion and nuclear power before we advanced society.” and boom fallout
Still trying to figure out why 35 idiots disliked this video??? Skooled Zone is simply awesome! What in the world is there not to like???????
I usually just use the Wi-Fi glitch with powered switches and a fusion generator. So essentially, I have each settlement powered like home plate is. 100 power from a switch. Then I hide the generator somewhere, or have it in a warehouse somewhere.
That's the way to do it. I hadn't discovered the wi-fi glitch yet when I made this video.
I can imagine someone freaking out trying to find were they buried that generator like a dog that lost his bone digging up the whole yard 🤣🤣🤣
nice work on the wires, in a lot of my settlements I'm always looking for way to make the wires look better and more integrated but I'd never thought about using the heads for the conduits so that could give me a fair number of ideas for integrating the wires into a settlement. :)
Great work hun, talk to you again soon. Byee!
One basic concept that you didnt mention was that you can use carpets instead of flooring and still place other objects over the "floating" carpets as if its a regular floor
To know wich dlc belongs each item just look At the little simbol on it, a gear means is vault tec workshop for example

I haven't seen you mention this yet (then again I've only watched like 5 of your videos) but did you know if you pillar glitch a rug into the air you can attach conduits to the bottom? This is the first I've seen of the sign glitch though, now I'm curious if conduits stick to the back of them.
This is just a suggestion, but maybe you can make tutorials on different type of character builds. Like maybe a pistol only build
That's not really my forté, but I did do one character build tutorial already that you might like: ua-cam.com/video/C6-lWQe6dBQ/v-deo.html
Paul, I have two questions, if you would like to answer them:
Thanks!

"ceiling conduit rug glitch apparatus" Haha, love it. Let me know if you find one.
Well darn, I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked. I guess there just won't be a 'ceiling conduit rug glitch apparatus' to use. You can use that term if you want, although not much reason to since nothing fits the bill.
very helpful mate,, but it's creepy how much you love this..
How much I love settlement building or making UA-cam videos?
0:53 I don't know if I'd call myself an "expert" builder but I'd suggest adding the scrap-store resource duplication glitch to your curriculum. I could be wrong but I don't recall seeing it demonstrated in any of your previous video lessons. When you're in the middle of a build and running low on building supplies the duplication glitch sure beats traveling to buy shipments or scavenging the wasteland for crafting supplies.
The Insane Shecklador hope your well mate
Ya I'm doing fine. Just been busy. What are you doing hanging out over here at The Skooled Zone?

You don't actually need to be pointing at the item for the glitch to work, you just need to be close enough to it, each item has it's own extended space value. So maybe that helps a little.
Yup, I mention that in the next video, I think the one called Invisible Wiring Under Your Settlement.
Skooled Zone oh my bad i was hoping to have taught the teacher 🤣🤣🤣
hey Paul easy way to tell what DLC an item is from, look at the symbol next to them in the menu at the bottom, vault symbol means vault tec workshop, deathclaw head means wasteland workshop, etc,
Totally. I keep forgetting that. Thanks.
