- Today, we’re going over 10 of the best weapons to use on a controller input. Not only are these weapons some of the most lethal options to use, but they’re often viewed as the best FEELING weapons, which is a huge contributing factor into how much a weapon gets used by the player.

Well it’s craftable so has access to enhanced traits as well as the ability to pick and choose your stats to a certain degree and cater entirely to you, avoiding the headache that is rng entirely as long as you have the pattern and also avoids trials (another headache personally), so I’d actually argue it feels better after the nerfs to high impact frames. But you do you whatever feels best is what you should use

Graviton Lance quickly became my preferred Void weapon for both PvP and PvE. For a 2-burst pulse rifle the weapon feels more like a scout/sniper rifle and the recent changes only made it have a faster fire rate than either. The key to its versatility isn’t just Cosmology, its that combined with Volatile Rounds.
In PvP it does massive damage per burst so enemy players are less likely to find cover or retreat before getting killed, and holding down a chokepoint firing on multiple enemies coming in can set off a chain reaction where a killed guardian sets of Cosmology and Volatility which softens up and suppresses the other guardians to make them easier to kill from long range and keep the reaction going for the next that try to push the same spot. As for PvE you can engage a higher-priority enemy and volatility can help ad clear. That makes it viable in close range even if you are getting swarmed.
If running Hunter with Forerunner, I strongly recommend a second sidearm (Saraph SI-2 is my preference) and Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves to not only have faster reload and swap, but survive a toe-to-toe engagement with massive damage increase on critical health. Its for an aggressive playstyle that goes well with Iron Banner where mobility and capturing points is vital.

Speaking of 120’s, I got a bottom dollar god roll by accident. It’s smallbore/steady-rounds/rangefinder/explosive-payload/range-MW
It’s absolutely cracked. Definitely recommend farming for it if you can’t. Gambit really does have awesome weapons (like the borrowed time, for example).

Messenger is also really good, if you manage to get flawless you can xan get some really sick combo perks, sure theres desperado and such, but my favorite roll so far is moving target + Headseeker. Its a monster in pvp and with adept mods you can get the range to 90 and higher. Really solid gun if you manage to go flawless, but irs non adept counterpart is essentially the same.
Messenger is very good. The only reason I didn’t include it was because of how tedious it can be to not only get one, but to get the roll you want. I tried steering this list more towards easily accessible weapons.

Got a keep away golden tricorn adept igneous hammer last week. Man this is probably the best hand cannon I’ve ever used. I even struggle with timelost fatebringer, but this thing just feels so solid.

If I’m playing PvP these days, I’ll usually run Duality, though now with having to get the Hawkmoon catalyst, I’m gonna see if PvP has any greater effect on the progress.
I’ve always wondered how MIDA doesn’t make these lists? I’ve always felt like it is one of the most consistent weapons in PVP no matter the sandbox. It’s been my favorite PvP weapon since D1.
Because its a good legendary scout thats just taking up your legendary slot
Probably because the exotic perks are not very flashy. MIDA keeps radar active at all times, even when debuffed by Gemini Jesters; +2 mobility; +10% sprint speed; highlights targets when ADS. It's a solid weapon with great neutral game benefits, but it is a little bit harder to win duels than other weapons currently.

i like the auttum wind since its a rapid fire pulse and it feels very good on controller

Underrated
I have an arc crucible sidearm The Keening that is nuts on Titan with Armor Piercing Rounds, Threat Detector, and One For All, It’s powerful in Crucible. If I run void Titan with it it allows me to get an over-shield via barrier and then use that to hit a few guardians.
The BXR-55 is just nostalgia inducing for me and it’s fun for pvp alongside our aim assist on controller
That's a trash roll tho. If u like using keening, focus some crucible engrams for it
Look for moving target or rapid hit in first column and zen moment in second column. Range, stability or handling masterwork
In my opinion Mechabre is the best feeling sniper in the game if you have snapshot, opening shot and the sniper that comes in at a close 2nd is Uzume RR4 Adept with Killing Wind and Vorpal.
Mechabre also has no distractions opening shot, which is a roll I don't see many people talking about.

With regards to my HC comment above, do you have any tips for how I can improve my use with them ?
I recommend using/crafting HCs with higher stability to start. Then just use them all the time. PvE and PvP. You’ll start to develop muscle memory for their recoil.

Out of curiosity, why do you recommend 120 HC? I love 120’s and I see a lotta ppl say they’re currently stronger than 140’s, but I mostly see 140’s in the wild.
If you can pace your shots and reset your aim super well, then 140s are fantastic. 120s are nice because they take just a smidge longer to shoot a follow-up shot, meaning you've got a smidge more time to reset/control your aim. 80 per crit and 50 per body is a BIG chunk of damage at one time. But I think the biggest contributing factor is their effective range, as right now, High impact pulses and even Scouts to an extent are really good in the sandbox (both of which are really good from long range). For the most part, 120s can compete with the range of Pulses and Scouts which is probably why a lot of people prefer them right now. That's my opinion at least!
@@ManOfCole gotcha! Makes sense. I’m in the early stages of learning hand cannons but I definitely found 120’s easier to learn with because they do force you to slow down and line up each shot. When ppl get hit by a 120 you can tell they absolutely know it too

Only 140 I like on controller is Austringer. With eye of the storm and zen moment it has reallly high stability and good range. It’s the only one I can full auto shoot and be accurate cause it resets each time.

use the 3 thumbnail weapons if you need training wheels, a helmet, pillow armor, and padded floor all at the same time. or an smg for extra padding

Before they nerfed the Cosmology explosion recently, it was nothing to get tons of multikills with it. Now, they might as well just get rid of the explosions because they barely tickle Guardians.

We’ve gotten a 120 with Destabilizing Rounds in Targeted Redaction, Voltshot with Combined Action, so I’m predicting it gets Incandescent

What about explosive payload and gut shot straight on the Guardian games scout rifle…. In trials, I was keeping god row messenger adept at bay with it.
I’ve got one with explosive payload which I also really like. I haven’t played enough with gutshot to give you an honest take on it.

I am still gonna use Thorn, the Heretic Robe ornament makes the gun much easier to use. Revision Zero on two-round burst is great as well. As for Handcannons, honestly, Ace, no, Hawkmoon, great, so nice to use, Lumina is not bad, Pali is great, Austringer is brilliant, Spare Rations, not sure, haven't gotten the 5/5 roll yet. Rose is very good.
Rev 0 is super solid
Love Ace of Spades but it just isn't very competitive with its recoil and lack of AA. Hope I can use it in PVE next season.
Am i the only one who has issues with the exalted truth? I even have an adept roll and it still feels weird. But my pali is smooth on controller
@@Unbothered92 Can't say, I don't have an Exalted Truth, so I am unable to say whether it's ok or not.
@@Unbothered92 it could just be its visual recoil pattern or the weapon model itself. I believe it's a Suros weapon, which for me personally I don't like using.
I think Eyasluna is really good on console. I'm willing to sacrifice range for aim assist.

Yes, it's the adaptive 3-burst sidearms (Tresspasser, Peacebond, High Albedo, Last Dance, etc) They are 0.50 seconds. TLW is 0.53

Alihda or whatever skin for the crimson is one of the worst that you can use. The death one is the cleanest and the animation doesn’t cover your reticle. I have over 37k crucible kills on mine so call me boss if you want.

Funny, i stopped using handcannons years ago.
I just equip foetracer when facing one.
I use SMG, Scouts, Pulses, Fusions, And Sidearms.
And still rock a 2.83 w/ my flawless chest when I want the weapon.
I believe this list is very subjective.

It's going to be broken, but most will never know how.

0.9 TTK for 4 shots of forerunner is not actually as slow or slower than every primary type in the game. Adaptive Pulses, 120 Hand Cannons, as well as Precision and Rapid-Fire Scout Rifles all have a slower TTK than 0.9. Feels like an important distinction

D2 foundry lists the 0.9 ttk on 10 resil, however that seems to reflect its damage numbers from last season. In game, this season, 10 resil gets downed in 3 shots with testing. Reason is the crit damage was 67 rounded up, so doing like 66 per shot. Now its 68 rounded up, which even at 67.1 will down 201 HP. Seems like foundry and other api's have not been updated to reflect this change.

@@ManOfCole The immortal, shayura, tarrabah, ikelos smg even funnel web and borrowed time. They’re all better then 120s and bxr in the current meta. Tho immortal is obviously the best.
@@ivarpettersen5075 you're right, they're all very good. They're also very good, if not BETTER on MnK thanks to better recoil management on a mouse. I was moreso just trying to focus on weapons that felt "better" on controller vs MnK.

Its called rotational aim assist, its what drags ur retice towards the enemy, reticle friction is when you cross ur reticle over someone and it slows down over the enemy not tracking them
