    Can I apply here with just a high school transcript and some military experience?

    • @MelisaMarie
      @MelisaMarie  5 місяців тому

      Yes! I don’t usually recommend that because it’s super expensive but with the military background, it will help your expenses.

    You are so informative! Thank you so much. I wanted to apply for this fall here at Houston, Tx . Due to this pandemic they are not testing for the HESI. I refuse to retake some classes because I have two C. So now I have to wait.

    • @MelisaMarie
      @MelisaMarie  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you love! Aww I’m so sorry. That’s frustrating that your timeline is getting pushed back. Don’t give up your journey. I know someone who is applying here for August 31st start and they are taking the HESI online at home with a proctor app. Have you seen that? You can save so money much by testing out of those two classes!

    • @SandersRN2023
      @SandersRN2023 4 роки тому +1

      Who told you have to retake a class? I applied for the Pearland campus. I was informed by an advisor that if you have a C in science courses you will have to pass the HESI with a 72 ish score and the classes will be accepted.

    • @MelisaMarie
      @MelisaMarie  4 роки тому +2

      I was told the same. I got a C+ in A&P 2 and scored an 89 on the HESI so it transferred in fine.

      You'll be fine, Chamberlain divides the classes up into 4s because the terms are quartered that way. 1+2 at Chamberlain is one everywhere else. 3+4 at Chamberlain is two everywhere else.

    Hey I don’t mean to sound slow but do you know which classes I would be able to take outside of chamberlain before I go, that way I’m just taking mainly the nursing classes? Or is that not allowed unless you’ve been to a nursing school before

    • @MelisaMarie
      @MelisaMarie  3 роки тому +3

      You don’t sound slow lol. It’s a legitimate question! Just look at the curriculum plans on the website and take all the classes that don’t begin with NR (nursing classes). You will save sooooo much money doing it that way. Most nursing classes won’t transfer in anyways. And only NR 200 level classes will transfer in, so long as they are taken at a 4 year institution. Hope this helps! 💜

    • @MelisaMarie

      @ritzcarlton3582 4 роки тому +1

      Okay, thank you for responding. Also, do you get the choice of making your schedule (like time and day) when you attend classes in person or do Chamberlain make it for you? I’m asking because I really want to keep my job if I can.

    • @MelisaMarie
      @MelisaMarie  4 роки тому +1

      After the first session, you make your own schedule. But to be honest, the options aren’t THAT vast. See if your employer will allow you to fluctuate your schedule, cause I don’t think you’d ever have the same time frames for classes back to back.

    Wow, amazing video and I have a few questions. I currently have all my prereqs done expect for Ethics and advance English. I plan on attending Chamberlain during the January start date and I already applied and sent my transcripts but I'm currently taking ethics and speech this fall and will those credits transfer to chamberlain? And Good Luck with your nursing journey.

    • @MelisaMarie
      @MelisaMarie  4 роки тому

      Have you already been accepted? Usually they’ll accept credits up until they accept you. I would reach out to your student advisor to see if you can conditionally transfer in ethics and English at the end of this semester. Go through the process to see if it is even a course match (chamberlain can be funny about classes from other institutions “matching up”)
