Why My Wife got her Breast Implants Removed!

On Friday February 8th, 2019 my wife underwent breast explant surgery (en bloc procedure) as well as a breast lift and removal of an axillary lymph node.
Explant surgery seems to be a very 'hot topic' lately as the news has been covering possible risks associated with certain types of breast implants.
Many women messaged me after Brooke had the procedure and asked how I felt about the whole process; they wanted to get my point of view of the explant procedure and the decision to fly to Miami for the surgery.

Glad to hear that she is doing well! Breast Implant Illness isn’t a new thing; it’s just finally becoming a topic of conversation, in part due to social media.
Hopefully the medical community is listening and women who are considering implants will be aware of the possible risks and side effects.

Anne Roehm thanks for your comment and I agree! As a pediatric 🦷 dentist, breast implants rarely is a topic of conversation among my fellow colleagues...so I’m glad I took the time to look into testimonials and evidence-based research...and if you think about it...it makes sense that it can happen when you put something foreign in your body...you never know how your body will react.
