Hey Kevin, I am happy today: I ticked all 8 boxes, finally had the courage yesterday to film myself and create my own UA-cam channel (cake recipes/life observations in both English and French, am bilingual). Also, I am a poetry writer and have started on a novel. I am a photographer, and I draw to illustrate my books. All of that in the space of 4 months. I have been the victim of narcissist abuse all my life, and being diagnosed as autistic in August prompted me to get the help I needed and reinvent myself. This was profound message. It is very true that there are many people unfit and unskilled to be parents and they create huge damage to the lives of their children. Sadly it often is a lifelong process to undo their destruction and unlearn the subconscious beliefs installed by abusive parents. Thank you for addressing this ❤

My father ruined me and my mother enabled it......now I gotta reprogram for the rest of my life. This is a good video but it's definite hard when you are taught self hate from your household at birth....but self love it possible...just hard in cases like mine.
You don’t need easy. You just need possible. Focus on how you can over why you can’t. Build a plan and attack.
@@KevHick u do not understand.... childhood trauma. This is more than just a mental battle.... it's attached to mental health. The attack is to identity "it" exist and the toxic it creates in the soul so u do not mimic the same habits. But, the destruction upon me has already been done...this will be a fight for the rest of my life....and the partner I choose will have to know in understanding the continuous love I will need that I never had.
@@Mr247star Give yourself credit for admitting it and recognizing it that's hard for a lot of people to even do. In the black community many of us are taught to not even talk about it. I'm also add you got love yourself first.
And I understand childhood trauma very well as I lived it. And I still live with those monsters. Healing may take years. My case is so unusual that all of my siblings are narcissistic as well and hurt me as well. If I healed you can heal also☺️

Also it ties into my livelyhood of the damage with not just the black community..the LGBT community. None of y'all are professional enough to understand. Only God’s love is perfect. I had to learn what you taught on this video. I chose to get into therapy face truth, become aware, humble myself before God, admitting that I need Him more than anyone else. We must participate in our own healing/recovery process. God validates me. I was born with worth. “They” need to mind their business, get into therapy, learn to love themselves.
